I was really hoping for a video that was similar to Grammy performance. Egyptian Queen just doesn't seem to fit with Dark Horse. But I'm not too worried, Katy's music videos are always top notch, so I'm gonna wait til the video is released to form an opinion. I have to say i wasn't feeling Katy's look at the Grammys ... I like this much more. |

Didn't she want to improve her popularity abroad? I seriously hope that preview is not part of the video. Middle eastern people will laugh at her, as well any people with basic knowledge of geography and history  Anyway She's a fun pop artist. That's a given! I'll probably see her live in DC too as she's part of pop culture now. I have to admit though that she's losing me this era. I bought her TD album, loved all her singles including Part of me... But I was expecting better music this time around and less gimmick. Yeah, I might be one of the few persons here that don't really see the huge qualities of DH.... The other day I turned on my car radio on the pop station and first thing I heard was Juicy rapping about eating heart out like the cannibal changed station. Generally I don't get the big appeal of the song. It's not bad but it's flat to me. I think it tried to replicate ET but with a more urban vibe, and it just fell short. I know I'm in the minority of course. In the meantime I'll enjoy the visuals. I'm sure the video will be top notch |

Shouldn't it have been auto-added to those stations, then? I don't remember why I once looked into this, but I think it only auto-adds if the station chooses to have auto-adds submitted each week. They could just not be submitting adds at all. *shrug* But we have songs that get added by all stations on the panel... Unless the stations are all newly added to the panel? |

She's well aware of the geography, I'm sure-- and I doubt she's insulting our intelligence by assuming we don't with this either. So, case in point: it's not serious. We all know Happy is coming hard and fast but really hope she gets at least another 2 weeks. Obviously what will 100% guarantee that is the video. A #1 is a smash song period and this has already surpassed Roar but a 4+ weeks at #1 esp 5 or 6 is a mega smash. Just want that then if it's 'Happy' time so be it as it's a well deserved future #1.

What I really like of this release is that people's voice was heard  Same as with Drunk In Love, labels heard and acted. I'm glad we didn't have aborted hits (like Maneater, Don't lie, Just a fool, etc.) |

Even if there are "panel changes", this would open the door for any pop artist to take advantage of the increase in stations and then beat the previous record. The fact that it seems to be a Katy song each time still remains quite impressive.

Well it always seems to happen right as she's coming for the top. She just has good timing in that aspect. That's why spins per station are a better judge, but she's broken that multiple times as well. That's the feat to be bragging about, not just spins.
