All in all, video didn't do anything for the song, not even one more week at #1.

My body is ready for a "Director's Cut" that cuts EVERYTHING and gives me the video I was hoping for. And not because this one is racist or whatever, but because it's simply cheesy as Hot Cheetos and doesn't do the song justice.

I don't want it to ruin my liking of the song! It really is the worst possible video she could come up with. I'd prefer a live version over this. Or nothing. Maybe Gaga was right all along...

Havent seen the video but its getting universally minimal positive feedback and obviously isn't helping the song. Really surprised as its such a great song, Kinda sorta saved the era or at least brought it back to post Roar levels. She usually delivers w/ videos so this is a big shock esp. for a song like this. Was either a case of being lazy or trying too hard. Like some others said, if the 'vision' and enthusiasm simply wasn't there, she should've just let the song smash on its own-which it did w/OUT a video and kept her artistic integrity. Aside from Unconditionally and perhaps the video for DH, the era (overall) is working. they just need to align things better (song and video) for the third single.

Those examples you've provided only illustrate your limited scope of the situations. If you honestly think those were the prime arguments for why she was being culturally insensitive, then I advise you to take a moment, reflect, and come to a different conclusion.

Think of it this way. Katy had an issue with Gaga's ALEJANDRO video. It appeared that her argument was that Gaga was misrepresenting Christian religious imagery (a culture of which Katy is personally connected) for her own gain. I believe she called it blasphemous and cheap. Is Katy not doing the same to other cultures? Is it also not insensitive and cheap?

It's not really the same thing though, is it? Gaga had a crucifix painted on her crotch and paraded it around for a lenghty period of time in a lengthy music video. The blasphemy people are chanting about in the Dark Horse video is, like I said, a guy getting zapped who happens to be wearing a chain that says Allah that is noticeable for 1 second in the video.

They edited the chain off of the guy and reuploaded the video yesterday. No more blasphemy now.
