I thought Pharrell would get a huge lead after the Oscars, but seems like the same on iTunes...

Pos Artist and Title 1.0 3.0 1 Pharrell Williams - Happy (From "Despicable Me 2") 1.0000 1.0000 2 Katy Perry - Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J) 0.3892 0.4930
Looks like a pretty big jump to me.
Edit: Although pretty late in the night before he performed and got a boost, if you're getting at points for this week's Hot 100.

What's the biggest margin you all have seen between the #1 song and the #2 song on itunes?? I'd say this is def the biggest difference I've seen since watching the kworb chart (1.000 and .3744)

No, as in those songs were at 1.0000 on Kworb at the time they were #1, while the #2 song was 0.2000 at best in comparison.

I'm ready for Birthday, but it's not going to come out till April anyways. Looks like they are going to milk this one, which is fine. Rhy and Hot AC are keeping this afloat.

YES!! They should have sent this to Urban ages ago. and hopefully, they will put out the remix on iTunes. We only get to hear an LQ & short version with more rap on it.

As 'Dark Horse' reigns for a fourth week, Perry rewrites the mark for the most total weeks (46) at No. 1 in the airplay chart's archivesKaty Perry claims the record for the most weeks at No. 1 in the 21-year history of Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart all to herself, as "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, spends a fourth week on top, upping her career count to 46 weeks at No. 1. With her latest frame in the lead, Perry passes Mariah Carey, who's totaled 45 weeks at No. 1. Here's an updated look at the acts to spend the most time at No. 1 dating to the Oct. 3, 1992, launch of the Nielsen BDS-based tally, which measures the most weekly plays at mainstream top 40 stations: Weeks at No. 1, Artist46, Katy Perry 45, Mariah Carey 32, P!nk 32, Rihanna 29, Ace of Base 26, Maroon 5 25, Christina Aguilera 23, Beyonce 23, Boyz II Men 23, Nelly www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/5923106/katy-perry-sets-record-on-pop-songs-chartAnother day, another record.

Interesting, if this has some success on the format, it could give the song some additional longevity.

This Is How We Do please! Ready for This is how we do...in July/August. Perfect timing. I'm ready for Birthday, but it's not going to come out till April anyways. Looks like they are going to milk this one, which is fine. Rhy and Hot AC are keeping this afloat. Yep. How else are they going to get #1 female song of the year. YES!! They should have sent this to Urban ages ago. and hopefully, they will put out the remix on iTunes. We only get to hear an LQ & short version with more rap on it. Nope. This will give it longevity on the charts and will ensure that it is the #1 song for a female artist this year. Happy will probably take #1 song of the year but she can be #1 female. 1. I could see her getting 60+ weeks by the end of this era. To be fair once a song hits #1 it usually stays there for awhile About PERFECT time...it's all strategy for longevity instead of overkill and peaking all at once. I'm glad she's kicking Rihanna's ass in something. LOL

It is impressive how Dark Horse, Unconditionally and Roar are all hanging on in the BB Hot 100. That is really the one chart that matters most.

Maybe they're aiming for this to break the all-time hot 100 record for most weeks on the chart.

Maybe they're aiming for this to break the all-time hot 100 record for most weeks on the chart. Imagine Dragons is going to make that very, very difficult.
