I'm genuinely surprised Gaga is holding on with moderate gains in airplay... I thought the song was due for a quick burnout. It wasn't exactly burning up the charts in the first place so it had either room to grow or just stall. I won't be surprise if Roar actually peaks earlier considering its crazy gains

Where is Roar likely to peak in airplay? Counting in 100M from pop, 50M from HAC, 15M from AC, 18M from Rhythmic and 2M from other formats... ~185M AI on Mediabase. That's around 146M on BDS which counts for Hot 100 Airplay. For comparison "E.T" peaked at 151M on Mediabase. Remember though that when E.T. got 151M on Mediabase, that was near maximum, considering it was #1 on Rhythmic, a recordbreaking #1 on Pop and #2 on HAC (blocked by Adele, but as much AI as a normal #1). Now that would be around 180-190m.

Astounding how Roar is already #2 a month after it came out! It is during this day and age. Janet's TTWLG was #2 after the first week in HOT 100 airplay. If you had included R&B and other formats into the mix it was probably #1 overall.

WOW! The Charts from 5 and 10 years ago don't even have enough good songs to make up a complete Top 10 in my opinion. So What, and I'm Yours. Where is the love and Unwell. All the rest is forgettable. I do love the chart from 15 years ago. There was only one horrible song, and that was Mase f/ Puffy P Diddy Daddy.

Actually, "That's the Way Love Goes" entered Hot 100 Airplay at No. 4. "Erotica" was the one that entered at No. 2- though it obviously didn't go on to do as well as the former track.

I know this is for next week's chart, so forgive me if I shouldn't be posting this here, but do you think with the way Wrecking Ball is exploding after the video came out it has a shot for #1 next week?

For Wrecking Ball to hit #1, she would have to develop and maintain a very significant lead over Katy for the whole week. Miley may overtake her on Streaming, but she has virtually no airplay as of right now while Katy is increasing very very quickly.

I don't think so. Wrecking Ball will have a slight advantage or a slight disadvantage in sales, depending on how things go. It will do very well on Streaming, maybe even at #1, but Roar will be at like #3 as well so it won't be a massive advantage. Katy will have huge airplay, which will be very hard for Wrecking Ball to overcome with her smaller advantages in sales and streaming.

She would need Harlem Shake numbers to even come close to #2 (which Blurred Lines should maintain)

"Wrecking Ball" probably would need a little less than 100m views to come close to No. 2, no? :)

I loved all the charts from 1987 to 1990 and then they all went downhill from there. 1992 was my graduating year and the music that was big, I am ashamed to even be associated with the junk that was on the charts then.

Wrecking Ball already has 29 million views. That's crazy I agree. I personally feel (although it's way way early in the streaming/sales week) that it's moving up to number 2 next week. For sure.

At the time, I didn't even know about Cyndi Lauper's version (I was 8, before you all crucify me). We used to jam to it on the elementary school bus along with "Together Again" by Janet. Brings back great memories!

I still have my copy of INOJ Time after Time CDsingle.. I do find it funny that some chart nerds didn't know who that was. I may be older than alot of you on here, but when you pay attention to the charts, even one hit wonders should be recognizable from any decade.

Which Jessie J song ? . wild ? . After the huge success of Domino , any thing after that has been completely ignored in the US . Weird .
