22 spins a week at KHKS. 14 at KMVQ. No other Pop station seems to be touching this yet other than the occasional spike.

Haters fall by the wayside as this stays iconic.

Goes for adds October 15, per FMQB. This will peak no higher than "I'm Awesome" and "Harlem Shake."

Goes for adds October 15, per FMQB. Hmm. I know this was originally released to raise awareness of the return of their TV show, but is there any particular project that's being promoted now? Seems odd that there's effort being invested in promoting this to radio if not.

Seems odd that there's effort being invested in promoting this to radio if not. I haven't seen any mention of what they're trying to do beyond promotion of the single to Top 40 radio - it's weird because WBR signed them to a full-out deal despite them saying comedy was their first priority and they had no desire to be full-time musicians. I don't know if that means they'll release their other comedy singles here, if they'll try to make an English version of their show, or actually release an EP or an album. I don't personally see a long-time career playing out for them here regardless of the label deal.

Their other singles (Stonehenge, Work It, Pressure, Someone Like Me, and Jan Egeland) are all available for purchase in the US now. Even if they never release anything else, there's certainly some value in getting them more exposure.

The youtube rule of billboard is just amazing, song that peaked inside top 10 on rythmic and pop, and were top 10 on itunes like Same love or Girl on fire weren't top 10 on billboard, but this shit that is not getting airplay and it didn't make the top 10 on itunes, it's number 8. Really great

Haters fall by the wayside as this stays iconic. No, this will be forgotten as soon as the next ridiculous song became viral on youtube

Just seen that the song has been renamed as "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)". I prefer the new one

In my opinion, The Fox is much better than Work Bitch. I can hardly listen to that mess. Also, its not as if its only an American thing, its doing well worldwide.

Work Bitch is a horrible song with little to no hook. It should not be at all surprising that it isn't appealing to the masses. Britney's insanely large fan base is the only reason it is even doing what it is doing. If anyone else released that song besides a worldwide megastar we would have never ever heard of it.

Regarding "Work Bitch" and "The Fox", it seems like once an artist becomes big enough, radio is willing to follow that artist (Gaga, JT, Britney) to a point while the average artist and newcomers have to follow radio. "The Fox" is not exempt and will not hit on top 40 because of that rule , but it does have a massive viral appeal which is fueling its massive sales. Whether its only Britney's fanbase that is buying her single or not, we'll have to wait another 17 weeks and see if it is able to go recurrent or not.

I love how people always are so quick to rag on lighthearted songs such as this. Like they're really what's causing any sort of harm. Not just that, but if you heard them explain why they recorded the Fox on that Ellen interview, it's hilarious: They make the lyrics how they are so they could prove to people that their international hit was a failure, though it's turning out not to be that way.
Also, "Someone Like Me" is better than this.

I'm late to this thread so I'm gonna go ahead and lay all my replies out here.
A) I thought this song/video was hilarious from the first time I saw it. B) This song is better than drivel like "Friday" and "Harlem Shake" because it's intentionally stupid to be humorous and not just accidentally terrible. I think it's the EDM parody that the world was waiting for, hence it's massive worldwide success. C) I think this song will be bigger than "Gangnam Style" at radio for the simple reason that it's in English, and the joke is instantly more accessible to American audiences. I've already heard it a number of times on my local CHR station this week. D) The kids absolutely love it! My wife is a high school teacher, and this song is very popular with her students. Pop music has always been a teenager's purview first and foremost, and the target audience approves in droves. E) Britney Spears' "Work B**ch!" is indeed a horrible song and should most certainly not do as well as "The Fox."
I think that just about covers everything.
