Like it! I think this is a smart career move for Gaga at this point. Smart move for Tony, too. I love him but lets be honest...this is the first album in awhile of Tony's that there is hype around Where were you when Duets II came out? Didn't it debut at #1 and was his first chart topping album in decades? Obviously it didn't have pop hits and I doubt this one will either but it had a lot of buzz. I think this album will further introduce him to younger audiences but it'll do more for Gaga than Tony at this point I think.

It's cute, actually, but then I've always been partial to jazz.

I love music, period. I don't listen to jazz on a regular basis, but I can appreciate the genre and it's artists. It's a refreshing change from what's mainstream and popular. There's no harm in listening to relaxing, easy compositions that focus on vocal delivery. I love it!

Yeah, certainly a good deal for both of them. But yes, Tony's last album had some good hype, mostly due to the Amy Winehouse track (it came out a couple months after she passed away)...and a little from the Gaga song actually.
Maybe it can get them a Traditional Pop Album Grammy and maybe even a Pop Duo/Group nomination.

I physically cannot deal with the way she acts/sing when she does the "Jazzy" thing. Like literally I have a physical reaction it's horrible.

lets be honest...this is the first album in awhile of Tony's that there is hype around If we're being honest, you're wrong. Less than three years ago, Tony released Duets II, which achieved Platinum status and reached number one. Five years before that, Duets also went Platinum and reached number three. While those efforts were both duets projects and not solo releases, Tony has done well recently and that shouldn't be entirely dismissed. Gotta love rude and sassy responses instead of polite corrections :) I physically cannot deal with the way she acts/sing when she does the "Jazzy" thing. Like literally I have a physical reaction it's horrible. Then you just don't like jazz music because her style is spot on

If I remember correctly, I think he actually broke the record for the oldest person to top Billboard. It was definitely huge, especially when considering the genre.

Yah, Bennett's duets/collaborative releases have been faring decently. Both of his Duets albums are certified platinum, reaching No. 3 and No. 1 (another duets set- Vivia Duets- didn't fare as well).

I always want artists to do something different and I like Gaga, I like jazz music (some of it) All in all her vocals were great but i just find Tony Bennett version of jazz music a tad boring for me, he is not my cup of tea and I have no desire to listen to the song again, but it was good.
edit- I'm NOT saying there is anything wrong with Tony but he personally isn't my cup of tea.

"Anything Goes" #1 on Billboard Jazz Songs
@ladygaga: Hey Tony Bennett! Our song 'Anything Goes' is #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts for Digital Songs! I'm so proud and I love you darling! Everyday that goes by I get more and more excited for Tony and I's album. It comes out SEPT 23 that is soon! Cheek to Cheek

I'm guessing it didn't make the Hot 100 in any capacity? On Canada iTunes, it wasn't prominently displayed in any way. It was buried deep in the new/featured songs releases.

I hear ya. I just am not a fan of Tony. I know, he's like a legend or whatever but I just can't listen to him. It's not even the genre, it's his voice.

I adore "Anything Goes". Im admittedly not the biggest Gaga fan but I love this little jazz phase she is in. Excited to hear she'll be tour in this.

Ugliest album cover of the year right there... Apparently it wasn't an actual photo shoot...it was just a photo taken of them by Stephen Klein and the two decided they liked it

It's like she's turning this project into a big joke. Thank God for fanmade album covers!
