Sorry I didn't do updates yesterday. I was too busy with work related items and rehearsal, by the time I got home it was after 11pm.

If this keeps gaining 50 spins a day and the other songs keep losing as they are (which is a given this time of year) then this should be top 5 by Sunday, very possibly as high as #2. The only song it won't pass is Katy Perry as she has a big lead but Kelly will quickly over-take her by next Sunday's update.
Actually, depending on the gains this makes Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, and the losses Katy has, it very well could end up #1 by Sunday. I predict #2 and possibly #1 for that chart.

I miss the old AC. but its awesome for Kelly. hopefully it gets some traction on HOT AC and CHR. its funny that country radio so far seems to have taken to RUN RUN RUDOLPH and not Silent Night |

And I think AC liked having a version of that to play along with and instead just Mariahs for a change. I just cant believe some of the promo Kelly is getting with this album. These huge life size cut out displays, he album cover on EVERY single TV in some stores.... why cant that happen with a regular cd?????? |

I was THRILLED when I saw that in FYE yesterday.. I asked a sales clerk if he'd sell me the cutout after Christmas and he kind of blew me off.. I'll try again when it gets closer  Yeah I definitely wasn't trying to diminish Kelly's accomplishment by posting the comparisons for 2012 and 2011; I just knew some people would be interested. Bublé had an advantage in a lot of ways. Kelly's created a Christmas album that will most definitely stand the test of time; the impact she's had before the Thanksgiving turkey's even out of our fridge is enough to indicate of that. Duck Dynasty may be selling more, but next year no one's gonna remember that that album even existed. Wrapped in Red is a perennial in the making. |

It IS a novelty, though. A reality TV family putting out a Christmas album is about as big a novelty factor as I can think of. They have a huge audience and fan base, though.
