YOUR BLACK FRIDAY TOP 15 (PLUS 3): Doing projections on Black Friday is like a blind man playing darts with his back to the board--things can land anywhere. Eminem, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga, among others, are all on sale for $7 at Walmart and Target. Meanwhile, Amazon and Google are waging an online battle, with digital albums as low as $1.99, including Avicii, Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy and Kanye West. This makes things a little difficult to pin down. One thing's for certain, though: One Direction will debut at #1. Here's how it looks going into Black Friday. 1. One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 550-575k2. Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 180-190k3. Katy Perry (Capitol) 130-140k4. The Robertsons (EMI Nashville) 115-125k5. Lady Gaga (Interscope) 105-115k6. Kelly Clarkson (RCA) 90-100k7. Garth Brooks (Pearl) 80-90k (Walmart Exclusive) 8. Miley Cyrus (RCA) 80-90k9. Now 48 (UMe) 75-85k10. Justin Timberlake (RCA) 65-75k11. Drake (Young Money/Cash Money/Republic) 65-75k12. Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) 65-75k13. Florida Georgia Line (Republic Nashville) 50-60k14. Imagine Dragons (KidinaKorner/Interscope) 50-60k15. A Day To Remember (ADTR) 45-55k16. Susan Boyle (SYCO/Columbia) 40-50k17. Mary J. Blige (Verve) 40-50k18. Lorde (Lava/Republic) 40-50kYou may now resume your compulsive repurposing of leftover turkey and stuffing. See you at the gym on Monday? (11/30p)THE FUTURE OF MEMORIES: Our latest sales projection for One Direction's Midnight Memories is 525-575k, with the odds favoring a bow that beats that of the SYCO/Columbia lads' prior release. Just how big will the Pop princes' new one (still #1 at iTunes, with the #3 single as well) get? Could Hanukkah gift cards tip the balance? You bet your latkes! And speaking of latkes, we full bloated just thinking about the next few days. (11/27p)YOUR NEW RELEASES: After one day of sales, Midnight Memories by One Direction looks set for an even bigger bow than that of their previous release, 2012's Take Me Home, which opened with 540k. Here's what we're looking at for the week's key debuts. One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 550-600kA Day to Remember (ADTR) 45-50kDanielle Bradbery (Big Machine) 35-40kIn other news, we've decided to forego the stuffing and fill this year's turkey with booze. (11/26p)MEMORIES IS MADE OF THIS: After one day of sales, we’re projecting the first week of One Direction’s SYCO/Columbia album Midnight Memories at 550-600k, which would their previous release, 2012’s Take Me Home, which opened with 540k. We’ll give you additional new release projections as soon as we finish counting. (11/26a)

Doesn't matter whether it's 520k or 570k, impressive anyway.

The guys performed on Good Morning America this a.m. Breaking 600K would be great for the biz, but 550K-600K is alright, too. ;)

And people said they were fading. Lol. Who said that? If anything, they've gotten bigger since their last album. I hope Kelly will pull some more decent numbers this week. Her airplay is rising pretty fast on AC radio and it'll be quite amazing to see just how many songs she can chart there after thanksgiving. I wouldn't be surprised if her whole album ended up in the top 20 of AC at some point.

www.billboard.com/articles/news/5800822/one-direction-midnight-memories-big-no-1-debut-billboard-200One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' Set for Big No. 1 Debut By Keith Caulfield | November 26, 2013 One Direction's new album "Midnight Memories" is easily heading for No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200 chart with a robust sales start. This week's top album, projected to be an encore by Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," will be made official on Billboard.com tomorrow morning. Industry sources forecast the 1D's album to sell 500,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Dec. 1. The album -- which was released on Monday, Nov. 25 -- has a possibility of reaching the 525,000 to 550,000 range. The number is a bit hard to pin down, thanks to the marketplace being thrown for a loop by the Thanksgiving holiday, Black Friday-related promotions and holiday shopping festivities. That said, a start north of 500,000 for Midnight Memories would likely give the group its third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, following its first two chart-topping albums: "Up All Night" and "Take Me Home." Both of those sets were released in 2012, and debuted at No. 1. The former sold 176,000 in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, while the latter opened with 540,000. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 4. Amazingly, if One Direction debuts at No. 1, they'll become the first group since the Monkees in 1967 to reach No. 1 with their first three albums. It's a fitting chart feat, since both acts were born on TV. One Direction was formed on the 2010 edition of the U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor," and saw their debut album bow in their home country the following year. As for the Monkees, the quartet (Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork) was recruited explicitly to star in a TV show. That show, "The Monkees," premiered on Sept. 12, 1966 on ABC. The group's self-titled debut album was released shortly thereafter, and climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its sixth week on the chart. The act followed up the No. 1 success with three more consecutive No. 1s in 1967: "More of the Monkees," "Headquarters" and "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd." If "Midnight Memories" sells 500,000, it will also give One Direction their second sales week greater than a half-million (following "Take Me Home's" debut). Since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991, only two other pop groups have logged multiple half-million sales weeks: 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys. 'N Sync did it seven times with three different albums, while Backstreet Boys did it nine times with two albums. Other groups and bands have earned numerous 500,000-plus frames, but they were all R&B, rap, country or rock acts. A fair chunk of One Direction's debut is fueled by pre-orders via the iTunes Store. Sources suggest that nearly 200,000 pre-orders were registered before the album went on sale. That doesn't necessarily mean that all of the pre-orders will translate into actual, completed sales, but one can imagine a good deal of them will.

Would be nice if Eminem manages to stay over 100k. He is listed in several Black Friday ads for cheap. Sold ~123k last week. Hopefully he gets 100k :)
Nice sales for One Direction. I really did enjoy their performance on AMAs

THE FUTURE OF MEMORIES: Our latest sales projection for One Direction's Midnight Memories is 525-575k, with the odds favoring a bow that beats that of the SYCO/Columbia lads' prior release. Just how big will the Pop princes' new one (still #1 at iTunes, with the #3 single as well) get? Could Hanukkah gift cards tip the balance? You bet your latkes! And speaking of latkes, we full bloated just thinking about the next few days. (11/27p)
