Love her as well, but it will likely be a #26 finish for Sia. 'Chandelier' will indeed reach 25 next week, only to be surpassed by Iggy before year-end. Echosmith is looking to finish at #66. Chandelier swings (excuse the pun) back up to #12 this week, while Black Widow falls to #6. With a 8% estimated gain in sales next week for Chandelier, Black Widow with an 8% gain, Chandelier still winning in streaming (can't see that moving) and Black Widow falling, as well as Widow falling in radio, you never, Chandelier may come out on top. That's a reasonable estimate, I can see it happening. What do you think for Bang Bang?

*excuse the layout of this comment, writing my reactions as I see them.
Rude will be #7 next week *sigh*. At least Problem made the top 10! SWM has also made the top 10. Kind of sad seeing Pompeii dropping. The Monster is dropping :( Can't see anything getting ahead of it (maybe Shake It Off). Finally Royals, Loyal and Wake Me Up are out of the top 20/25. Finally Chandelier made top 25! 20K jump. How much weeks are left of this, 5? If it got 20K each week it could finish at #20 (I'd die omg). This is hoping that Latch falls out next week/the week after. Black Widow is beginning to fall, I can't see it beating it (not with Chandelier back on the rise). Although I do see Bang Bang and Black Widow both making the top 30 (sad news for Beyoncé and Calvin). Don't think Maps or Boom Clap will make it, sadly :'( Hoping that Paramore, MKTo and Coldplay all get top 50s (although it's either Coldplay or MKTo). She Looks So Perfect may not make it, but Amnesia may (although that is decreasing fast). The only ones in the Bubbling Under I can see making it would be Amnesia, maybe Leave The Night On, and most likely Animals.
Who knows, now that Dark Horse is gone, All Of Me may beat it (although it is finally decreasing)

It would be "Epic" if All About That Bass finishes at no. 6 with three weeks to spare.

Who knows, now that Dark Horse is gone, All Of Me may beat it (although it is finally decreasing) there's 3 weeks left on the chart run, so there's not much time remaining. I think "Bang Bang" will not only make the top 30, it'll make the Top 20 in the actual year end list because all of it's chart weeks were in the top 10, and it still in that range. "She Looks So Perfect" will make the official list because it peaked at #24 and charted the full 20 weeks which is good enough for a year position, and "Amnesia", and "Animals" are a sure thing for the year end list. "Leave The Night On" is also starting to look like a strong candidate for the actual year end list. Of the songs on this list, neither "Drink A Beer", "Give Me Back My Hometown", "No Mediocre", nor "Studio" will make the actual list because they all had weak chart performances. I would love for "All Of Me" to overtake "Dark Horse", but I'm not sure if that's going to happen because "Dark Horse" was in the Top 50 for the entire year, and in the time it wasn't #1, it spent a huge amount of weeks at #2 and spent the same amount of weeks as "Happy" in the top 10, while "All Of Me" had to really climb to get into the top 10, and spent fewer weeks in the top 10 than "Dark Horse". The top 5 is pretty much a lock, and will look like this in the official list, unfortunately. At least "All Of Me" is a top 3 song, so is a really great achievement for John Legend.

^ I beg to differ. Now that Dark Horse has finally fallen out of the Hot 100, All of Me has three weeks to gain on it and get some points to get closer. Sure it's pretty obvious that AOM won't pass DH on here, but being still at #32 it can get within 10k points of DH and thus there may be some discrepancy between Daniel's prediction and Billboard's official year-end chart which can make John Legend #2. I would be satisfied with that top 3 - DH doesn't feel like the second-biggest song of the year to me but third-biggest is more like it. Really didn't understand how it was still top 50 after like June but that's just me.

Looks like only 'All Of Me' can stay on chart for full year.

AOM will rack up more points in the next 3 weeks, but not enough to overtake DH (unless of course Columbia strategically rushes out a fresh new mix to gain new airplay). It's an indisputedly outstanding love song, however, the last time a ballad topped the Year End Pop tally was 7 years ago (Bey's 'Irreplaceable').
I also didn't expect that DH would endure 48 weeks to become runner-up. 'Talk Dirty' also did much better than I'd expected.

DH doesn't feel like the second-biggest song of the year to me but third-biggest is more like it. Really didn't understand how it was still top 50 after like June but that's just me. Dark Horse is 25 million views short from Roar to be Katy Perry's most viewed video. Reason for this? Dark Horse is still featured at the top of YouTube's Music channel as of now. But I do wish All of Me reaches no. 2.

When I look at it again, the top 3 is actually very tight, with difference in point that seemed to be logically able to be passed if one has a different method than other in the inverse point system. For all we know, the top 3 isn't as set as we thought (Maybe the top 10 as well, would be very nice to see Pompeii in top 10)

The UK Year End tally is wrapping up, and it looks like AOM will also finish in third spot there.
The infectious 'Happy' is in the lead spot, followed by local act, Clean Bandit (Rather Be).
4. Let It Go 5. Timber 6. Dark Horse 7. Counting Stars 8. Money On My Mind (Sam Smith) 9. Waves (Mr Probz) 10.Riptide (Vance Joy)

Yeah 21 weeks in the top 10 is impressive for Stay With Me, but the year-end uses inverse points not cumulative. Back in 2012, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift had 3 weeks at number one and 13 weeks in the top 10 (12 of those counted in the final tally) but placed #33 in the year-end. Last year, "Sail" by AWOLNATION peaked at no. 17 and spent the whole year in the chart, finishing at #25 in the year-end. Besides, I feel like I'm the only one here who has faith in the accuracy of Daniel's prediction haha.

Wait, so the actual chart bases off longevity and not chart ranks? Even if Sail only peaked at 17, I'd presume all the points it racked up through the year would allow it to rank so high (sorry if I'm wrong, I don't really understand the different type of systems - could someone explain?).

Hey Daniel, I wanna ask where does Sail stand in the Decade-End chart. I'm pretty sure 79 weeks on the Hot 100 and 51 weeks in the top 50 isn't something to ignore. (I guess it's somewhere around 120-150?)

If it was, there's no way "Harlem Shake" would have had the #4 placement that it did. That was due to the incredible streaming points it had in its first week.

The year-end is computed through cumulative points. the decades and All-Time charts are the ones that use inverse point system. This prediction thread is using a cumulative point system. Hey Daniel, I wanna ask where does Sail stand in the Decade-End chart. I'm pretty sure 79 weeks on the Hot 100 and 51 weeks in the top 50 isn't something to ignore. (I guess it's somewhere around 120-150?) This is an UNOFFICIAL list: (up to Nov.8, 2014) This is the top 100 and unfortunately, "Sail" is currently at #198. Though it stayed for a long time on the Hot 100, it stayed in the lower regions of the Hot 100 for almost a year. Peak is essential in the inverse point system. 1 Party Rock Anthem 2 We Found Love 3 Somebody That I Used To Know 4 Rolling In The Deep 5 Blurred Lines 6 Happy7 Call Me Maybe 8 Dark Horse 9 Royals 10 Moves Like Jagger 11 Just The Way You Are 12 Thrift Shop 13 Tik Tok 14 We Are Young 15 All Of Me16 One More Night 17 Radioactive 18 Sexy And I Know It 19 Counting Stars 20 Someone Like You 21 E.T. 22 Give Me Everything 23 Firework 24 Love The Way You Lie 25 Locked Out of Heaven 26 Dynamite 27 California Gurls 28 Fancy29 Wake Me Up 30 Grenade 31 Hey Soul Sister 32 OMG 33 Need You Now 34 Some Nights 35 Can't Hold Us 36 Roar 37 Payphone 38 Airplanes 39 Timber 40 Bad Romance 41 Rude42 Superbass 43 Fuck You 44 Stronger 45 Wrecking Ball 46 Ho Hey 47 Break Your Heart 48 Talk Dirty 49 Set Fire To The Rain 50 Teenage Dream 51 Good Feeling 52 DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love 53 Just Give Me A Reason 54 The Monster 55 Diamonds 56 Nothin' On You 57 Mirrors 58 Stay With Me59 Lights 60 Rude Boy 61 Pumped Up Kicks 62 Starships 63 When I Was Your Man 64 Cruise 65 Only Girl 66 Problem 67 Stereo Hearts 68 All About That Bass69 Glad You Came 70 Just A Dream 71 Get Lucky 72 Raise Your Glass 73 I Knew You Were Trouble 74 Like A G6 75 Just Can't Get Enough 76 Stay 77 Last Friday Night 78 I Like It 79 Pompeii 80 We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 81 What's My Name 82 It Will Rain 83 S&M 84 On The Floor 85 Born This Way 86 Holy Grail 87 Bedrock 88 Empire State Of Mind 89 Imma Be 90 We Can't Stop 91 We R Who We R 92 Gangnam Style 93 Wild Ones 94 Am I Wrong95 Let her Go 96 Wide Awake 97 Turn Down For What 98 Whistle 99 Hold On Were Going home 100 Say Something

Sorry if I got it confused. There was also "Roar" reaching #10 in the year-end with only 15 weeks to count and "Royals" attaining #15 within 20 weeks. Accumulated points and longevity play central roles in adding up as defined by the article mentioned by Rimetm.Other cases that can be attributed to longevity last year would be "Radioactive" (no. 3 peak) and "Cruise" (no. 4 peak). The latter finished at #3 and #9 respectively.
