^ probably...it's already 4 positions higher than Timber and Timber is falling in radio airplay much faster than is CS and they're both falling at about the same rate on sales and streaming (if anything, even on those Timber may be falling faster) so their difference in weekly points is increasing...I think CS will pass Timber in 2-3 weeks...I could be wrong though

I like how fast wrecking ball is crashing off the charts, I guess people got bored of seeing her naked, I don't think anyone listened to the song in the first place.

I don't think anyone listened to the song in the first place. Surely they did, if it was #1 on Digital Songs...don't forget it's $1.29 that no one is going to waste on a song they don't like. I agree though about it falling down the year-end chart, the song is old news...I'm long over it and it's time for newer songs...it shouldn't have peaked at #1 this chart year for the same reason Harlem Shake shouldn't have been #1 and the same reason Soko's song shouldn't have been on the chart this week (I'm sick and tired of having to explain every time why a viral video having nothing to do with a song and the song itself not being popular shouldn't count towards the song's chart points).

Counting Stars will rise above Timber next week or the week after...very likely that it will be a few positions higher than Timber on the 2014 year-end chart

^That would happen for sure. The lead of Counting Stars over Timber on the Hot 100 is ~3,500 pts. and the lead of Timber for this table is ~5,000 pts.
TRIVIA: There are lots of similarities between Counting Stars and Apologize.
1. Both peaked at No.2 2. Both outpeaked the song/s that blocked them from the top 3. Stayed for 20+ weeks in the top 10. 4. Year-end position: Apologize (2007, No.66) and (2008, No.5) , Counting Stars (2013, No.63) I can see CS ending top 10 in the 2014 year-end or possibly near it.

yeah I'm pretty confident that CS will be in the top 10 year-end considering it has been in the top 10 for the entire chart year so far and will probably be on the Hot 100 until around July (at least)

How come you don't use the inverse point system? Because it's not entirely accurate and gives songs with longevity an unfair advantage. For example, a song at #51 shouldn't get half the points of the song at #1 when the #1 song got at least 5 times the points of the #51 song. Also, the #3 song one week could have gotten 40k chart points while the song at #1 20 weeks later could have gotten 35k chart points. Wouldn't make sense to give the #1 song more points for that week than to the #3 song 20 weeks earlier, would it?

WOW at Counting Stars beating Timber. The gaps between top 7 are so steady that it's hard for them to switch position.

Can't believe HS ended up being the #4 song of the year. -___- it's a no-brainer that CHU, Mirrors, JGMAR, WIWYM, etc. we're much more popular throughout the year than this dance meme anthem that died out after like a month.

It's kind of weird because Harlem Shake didn't even chart in Canada on the year end I think.
edit: nope it didn't. Nor did Diamonds reach top 25. Scream and Shout #8, Try #21, Daylight #23. Actually these songs were lower on the US chart than I expected, but I guess that's just cause they were played more here than the US. Serena Ryder @ #14 for the year end lol, I recall people on these boards not hearing about her before this year

Amazing how with only 15 weeks on the 2013 charts Roar managed to be in the top 10 year-end!

Looks like by the 5/31/2014 or 6/7/2014 chart Happy will be #1...I really do hope Happy holds up long enough to beat Dark Horse in the year-end chart!

Looks like All of Me will jump into top 5 tomorrow...and in 5-6 weeks, if all goes well, Happy will dethrone Dark Horse and hopefully will stay there...I don't want Dark Horse to be #1 year-end instead of Happy :(

If both Happy and Dark Horse stay even in points, Happy will dethrone Dark Horse in 5 weeks. However, Happy is falling faster than Dark Horse.
