Well, if my guess is right, next week will be the last chart to be included in the Billboard Top 100 Hot 100 songs of 2019. So this week is the penultimate chart of the year. (I wish I'd thought to use "antepenultimate" last week because that word rules.)
So, with a column showing where everything could be if songs maintain their place next week (largely not improbable), here's my estimate for the week of November 16, 2019.
So the way I see it, there are two remaining possibilities to climb into the year-end chart: HIGHEST IN THE ROOM and Memories. Otherwise, the top ten is set and even another really good week for Senorita will move it higher than #12. Mariah finally got shoved out of the top 100, but hey, if she recharts next week, she could get back in! I'll produce my official predictions next week, and give an adjusted list for the November 30th chart, although I don't think it will be included in the year-end chart.

What do you guys think the chances of Billboard doing a 54 week 2019 year end chart would be? I don't think it's possible and I don't want that to happen but I'm just curious of what other people think.

^I would think it would be the most unlikely scenario. They have done 52 and once in a while 53 week chart years the last few year, so I'd expect them to stick to that. Although, with their definition of a decade for the decade-end charts, I guess I really don't know ...

I don't think there's any chance that Billboard will be doing a 54 week 2019 year end chart.
With the exception of 2013, which had 53, every other year in this decade only had 52 weeks of tracking.

i know there's like a 90% chance that Shotta Flow will make the YE, but looking at some people's predictions I'm starting to panic about its chances. most people, including me, have it around #93 or #94 and it will probably be pushed down 3 or 4 spots on all of those lists with the week of 11/23 added because of Hot, On Chill, and Lover all having a chance to pass it, and that's not even getting to how rockgolf's predictions has it as off of the list entirely. i need reaffirmation, there's a chance the song could top my best list and I'm gonna be pissed if it misses

Good job Billboard. You somehow ranked We Found Love above Despacito, Rolling in the Deep, Old Town Road and Somebody That I Used to Know. I understand using an inverse system for the all-time charts, but would it really kill you to use the real points to calculate the decade end lists? Well screw it, I finished the top 100 of the 2010 year end superchart, and by the end of the night I should be able to get the full 200 songs. Iโm creating a thread immediately when thatโs over, and Iโll start posting each year end of the decade every weekend until the end of 2019

a damn shame that Truth Hurts and Seรฑorita blew up a little too late to be included onto the decade-year end list, although they are guaranteed to place somewhere on the all-time list right?
also, am I the only shocked Happier landed in the Top 40, meanwhile Hotline Bling is only at #92?

yeah i agree that it probably will make it, however it would have been borderline in 2018 and would not have even had a chance in any year before that one Kinda shows how weak the cutoff for 2019 is. A song like This Is It or Walk Me Home wouldn't have even made the top 110 in most other years. This Is It and Talk You Out of It DIDN'T make Top 110 in my chart (all scenario), and Walk Me Home just barely didn't made it (in 1 or 2 scenario). This goes to show how stupid my formula is. |
