I still can't believe they are together. I assumed it would be a quickie rebound relationship and the fact that they have survived this long and through Christina's...hard times recently and have a kid together now...it is sweet isn't it? I hope they make it.

What's funny is NO ONE had shit to say when she performed it TWICE during the NBA finals 8 months before and nailed it both times. I'm quite sure nerves played a major part and she lost focus after the lyric flub which is unfortunate since MOST Americans have no fucking clue what the real words are.

I wouldn't say MOST Americans don't know what the real words are, as it's something that we learn from a young age and have drilled into our heads. I haven't had to say the Pledge of Allegiance since I left public school in the 6th grade but I can still remember it word for word. Anyway, no one cares what irrelevant Aaron Lewis has to say.

Acceptable or unacceptable has nothing to do with it. It's called singing live and it's called being human and like Aretha, the Queen of Soul said, it was only one line, she did a beautiful job and the crowd still loved it. By the way, a little bit of history: The First Lady of Song, Miss Ella Fitzgerald, forgot the words during a live a recording and it ended up winning the Grammy for Best Female Vocal Performance. So there you have it! |

I really doubt most Americans know the words to the National Anthem. The Pledge of Allegiance is one thing, since I grew up saying it every day, but how often do people hear the National Anthem if they aren't sports fans?

Besides, Bruce Springsteen and Patti LaBelle are two of the greatest live performers OF ALL TIME and I have seen them forget the words to SONGS THEY HAVE WRITTEN!

Youthtina. Her and Matt seem so happy together, I'm happy for her. <3 I was listening to her debut the other day; I forgot how much I love some of those songs. Genie, ITTY, Love For All Seasons, When You Put Your Hands On Me. It's kinda funny because I still love and hate the same songs that I did when the album came out.  I never cared for Reflection, Obvious, So Emotional (meh), or WAGW , but I still love the rest just as much as I did back in the day. |
