That Britney impersonation was just oozing with nostalgia. Her impressions of Cher and Shakira were pretty spot on too. If her voice is still flexible enough for these impersonations, there's no reason she can't churn out a great studio album in her own voice.

Christina is definitely the most likeable diva. She seems like a really genuine, happy human being. I agree, she's one of the most genuine female pop artists there are. And she seems very happy lately, but I guess all stars are happy considering how rich these people are. I doubt most at this forum would agree, but it is this forum. |

I honestly all the talk of Christina's "bitchy" personality is way overblown here, and with the general public, it seems to more of a feeling of indifference than outright, "Oh my God, she's such a bitch" hate. I consistently see her being mocked for her habit of overdoing almost every live vocal performance, but I've never gotten the sense that all those bitch rumors are what hurt her image the most, despite the fact that music fanatics might claim otherwise. Sure, she's far from the most likeable Pop star, but she appears to be intelligent and fun, and she never CLAIMED to be some sugary sweet Pop tart, either. I've actually really, really liked Christina on The Voice the past few seasons (I didn't care for the first few), and I typically think her comments are well-spoken and thought out. |

To be clear, I think Christina's general public attitude has improved, particularly on The Voice, but I still think she's a far cry from being anyone's pick for nicest/most likable/warmest "pop diva" outside of her fans (and not even all of them, as some seem to like her air of superiority).

I think Christina's attitude is exaggerated by some people for laughs but she definitely does not come off like a big sweetheart or even a remotely cool person. But that video was so funny, it makes me sad that Christina can do Britney's vocals better than Britney can do Britney's vocals in 2015.

Where's the forum in which Christina is widely regarded as incredibly likable and kind? I guess you've got me there; this place has put me off going to any other music forums. But I suppose maybe a place that doesn't often read like the bottom of a Yahoo article? Although I guess she does get talked about a bit on a TV forum I visit because of The Voice and most people like her or they're indifferent. The only people I've met in real life who don't like her usually give reasons such as the way she dresses or they don't like Houston/Mariah/Celine types period. I mean, I doubt she'd win Miss America over some of the options out there, but normal people don't think of her like she's Cruella de Vil either. Moreover, what's likeable is subjective. |
