Ke$ha was credited on "Right Round" for its first week at #1, then removed from the rest and eventually all of its chart-run.
Give Ke$ha her #1 back! :'(

Cool, I like Timber so I'm happy it got a week at #1. Hopefully Counting Stars can get one too before Dark Horse catches up to it. I a bit surprised that the gap is only 9% between Timber and CS. I'm guessing the latter may be able to sneak a week before DH rises to the top.

Was not expecting WB to return...I thought it was losing in all three components and never to return to the top 10...I guess the charts can be full of surprises lol...didn't expect TM to fall more than one spot either.

Like I remember a quote saying that she wanted to be credited on her own material for her breakthrough or something.

Let's hope that it increases enough in airplay and streaming to get to #1 on the Hot 100.

So, Ke$ha gets no credit for "Right Round," even though she was initially credited on it. Not according to Billboard apparently.

I do recall her having an issue with being credited, but, at the least, why not credit her for the weeks the credit appeared? Britney Spears gets credit (on the Hot 100) for "S&M," and that was just for one week. And Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj get credited for their single week of credit on "Till the World Ends."

I think Dark Horse is going to rise higher than just one spot on the Hot 100. it's still not in the top 20 on radio and it sort of lags behind on streaming at the moment (that will definitely change once/if the official music video comes out) so it won't go up more than 1 or 2 spots despite its reasonable gain in sales this week. You were saying?

You were saying? we were also saying that CS wouldn't reach top 2 until next week, and that SS would go back up, and that WMU would be kicked out of the top 5 this week, and had no idea that WB would be back in the top 10. This week was full of surprises. DH is still only #10 on streaming songs and #18 on radio songs and #4 on digital songs. It didn't increase by quite as much as you anticipated.

I'm glad to have a new number one, and I also hope OneRepublic can get a week or two in then Dark Horse. After the last couple of years it would be nice to see more turnover at the top; maybe one huge 10+ week chart-topper per year but multiple 6-12 week number ones is so dull. Not that I think it's going to happen but I would love to see us get to 20 number ones in a single calendar year. It hasn't happened since 1991!

Well, after all the insane back-and-forth arguing people have had with charismatic the last few weeks, let's all just let her, um, "feel this moment" (sorry) and enjoy her fave being number one.

Timber is the worst #1 since We Found Love imo. Oh well. :( Hopefully Pitbull's next single is better.

As always, everyone will have their different likes and dislikes. As a side note: among Rihanna singles, though, only "Umbrella" has enjoyed more acclaim.
Having pointed that out, we all know the charts are based on popularity and not what's regarded as the best.

It boils down to what people are willing to spend their hard earned money on and what they want to listen to. Anyone can say something is better but what they choose to buy and listen to tells the bigger story. In short, actions speak louder than words.

I'm guessing the latter may be able to sneak a week before DH rises to the top. OneRepublic should pull a Katy Perry and discount "Counting Stars" to 69 cents this week to increase their chances of getting that week at #1.

What people think is best is not always what critics think is best. And then again, like with Beyonce's recent new album, sometimes it is.
