I have no idea when he's gonna do the 2nd US leg... :'( let alone when he'll tour in Asia (where he's more than ever becoming a household name) Latin America, or Oceania. Bruno added third show in Belgium scheduled for November 29th. It's likely 1st hint of the 2nd European leg; The tour stars in Belgium, on March 28th in the very same venue.

I'm guessing this tour is going into 2018 and beyond. The demand is crazy and he's doing mostly arenas in North America and Europe without even hitting every major market. We'll see what happens.
I'll be going to the iheartradio Music Awards and working on seeing this show at Madison Square Garden.

I initially thought the single pattern for this album would go:
"24k Magic" - "Versace on the Floor" - "Chunky" - "Too Good to Say Goodbye"
But, now, I can totally see them doing:
"24k Magic" - "That's What I Like" - "Finesse" - "Too Good to Say Goodbye"
Which I'm quite fine with.

There are some leaks regarding Asian leg of his tour already popping up and they're... ridiculous. According to Chinese Webo few locations he already sealed the deal for include Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Manila and Macau. It seems sky is the limit for this tour. It seems that the most tricky part of it all is that he's approaching a long era with a really short album. ...I'm kinda shocked he hasn't booked any shows in Hawaii yet.
Tour promo teaser:

Make VOTF and Finesse #3 or #4. TGTSG is great, but not as great as those two. Chunky can stay on the album. It's too similar to the lead.

Latina - Mr. Everything; Bruno Mars redefines what it means to be a Latino man.Mars learned about charm, confidence, and estilo early in life. “My whole sense of rhythm is because my dad was teaching me bongos as a kid,” he says of his father, Pedro Hernandez. “He’s an old-school working musician, so that’s where the pinky rings come from, the patent-leather shoes, the suits, and the pompadour. It all stems from watching my father. I remember at the time, me and my sisters would be a little embarrassed when he would take us to school in his big-ass Cadillac. No one had Cadillacs in Hawaii. But my dad would show up in some boat-looking Caddy wearing some silky s**t, and we’d run out into the car as soon as possible. And here I am wearing the swap-meet gold, driving Cadillacs,” he says with a laugh.
Puerto Rican-Filipino heritage: "I never once said I changed my last name to hide the fact that I'm Puerto Rican. Why would I f*cking say that? Who are you fooling? And why would anyone say that? That's so insulting to me, to my family." He added, "My last name is Hernandez. My father's name is Pedrito Hernandez, and he's a Puerto Rican pimp. There's no denying that."The reason behind his stage name is, well, actually quite simple and anticlimactic. He said, "My dad nicknamed me Bruno since I was 2 years old. The real story is: I was going to go by 'Bruno,' one name. Mars just kind of came joking around because that sounds bigger than life. That was it, simple as that."
On his mother's untimely death: "My life has changed. She's more than my music. If I could trade music to have her back, I would. I always hear her say, 'Keep going and keep doing it.'"
On his '90s music influences: When you say ‘black music,’ understand that you are talking about rock, jazz, R&B, reggae, funk, doo-wop, hip-hop, and Motown. Black people created it all. Being Puerto Rican, even salsa music stems back to the Motherland [Africa]. So, in my world, black music means everything. It’s what gives America its swag. I’m a child raised in the ‘90s. Pop music was heavily rooted in R&B from Whitney, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Boyz II Men, Aaliyah, TLC, Babyface, New Edition, Michael, and so much more. As kids this is what was playing on MTV and the radio. This is what we were dancing to at school functions and BBQs. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for these artists who inspired me. They have brought me so much joy and created the soundtrack to my life filled with memories that I’ll never forget. Most importantly, they were the superstars that set the bar for me and showed me what it takes to sing a song that can get the whole world dancing, or give a performance that people will talk about forever. Watching them made me feel like I had to be as great as they were in order to even stand a chance in this music business. You gotta sing as if Jodeci is performing after you and dance as if Bobby Brown is coming up next.

BILLBOARD: *Best Performance* While most people under 30 were probably extremely confused who The Time were, Prince's Purple Rain foes (but real-life friends and collaborators) nevertheless won over the crowd through the infectious energy of their endearingly absurd dance moves during "Jungle Love." But after that, holy hell, Bruno Mars -- wearing Prince's Purple Rain poofy shirt and suit -- absolutely destroyed the stage with "Let's Go Crazy." While it's nearly impossible to cover Prince and one-up him (Sinead is the only one to do so thus far in human history), Bruno's showmanship and versatile vocals delivered what has been the finest awards-show tribute to Prince so far. And when he capped it off with some unhinged shredding at the song's close, any jaws that hadn't dropped already undoubtedly hit the floor. BET: ... The tribute continued on with equal parts pop and soul funkateer Bruno Mars, who truly committed to putting on show that Prince would commend. Rocking a purple sequinned suit complete with Prince’s signature ruffled white dress shirt and eyeliner, Mars brought Prince’s legacy to life with “Let’s Go Crazy.” He even flaunted his versatility as an artist by grabbing an electric guitar and surprising all with his handiwork. To put it simply, Prince would certainly give these guys ten across the board.A.V. CLUB the Prince tribute from Bruno Mars and The Time was straight-up funky. The Time came out alone first, getting the audience pumped up and dancing, and then Bruno Mars stepped up in a sparkly purple suit and puffy shirt to do his best Prince impression on a cover of “Let’s Go Crazy.” Everybody in the audience was going crazy, Beyoncé was singing along, and it was clear that the show had suddenly transformed into a pretty sweet party—and that was before Mars broke into an appropriately suggestive guitar solo that probably would’ve made Prince proud.CoS: Mars followed with an on-the-mark rendition of “Let’s Go Crazy”. The singer and multi-instrumentalist appeared onstage dressed in a sparkling purple jacket and ruffled white shirt, but his resemblance to The Purple One didn’t end there. Anyone who watched Mars’ pitch-perfect Super Bowl halftime performance in 2014 knows he’s a remarkable performer, but we didn’t expect the Prince-worthy level of guitar shredding he busted out to close the set.

I love me some Finesse, but it's doing pretty bad on iTunes comparing to other album tracks: 89. Perm 160. Versace On The Floor 218. Chunky 630. Too Good To Say Goodbye 934. Finesse 1066. Straight Up & Down Ofc it could've been worse - Calling All My Lovelies a.k.a my ultimate jam isn't even charting . The good thing is That's Like I Like was clearly the right single choice, it's already chillin' in TOP5 on iTunes, streams are way better than 24k's even though it's just in the 30's on radio and the video is not released yet. Anyway, HDD underestimated him again (25-28k, 45-49k sps) - Now he's expected to climb 7-2 on BB200 w/ 33,467 sales & 62,271 sps.

I'd go with Versace and Chunky next. That would put this campaign around the same number of hits as his past ones. I won't be surprised if TWIL ends being the biggest hit in the US.
Chart run if it re-peaks this week.
2 - 4 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 4 - 7 - 7 - 2
Very strong performance, especially given that the lead single wasn't as big as the past 2.

I haven't listened to 24K since it came out much. It's such a good cd I think he could release almost anything off it. In my opinion the two weakest links are "Perm" and "Calling All My Lovelies". I keep hearing some posters mention "Finesse" being a good single. It's one of my favorites as well but it sounds almost to much like a track from the late 80's/early 90's. It sounds like they remastered a track from that era and he just added vocals. (not shading him) Don't get me wrong I would be in my glory if he released it and it did well. I know some of the ballads sound like they come from different eras to but i think ballads get away with it better. Whatever he releases I'm sure it will do well because he seems to be on a roll and deservingly so.

Calling All My Lovelies is 80's funk perfection. It gets better with each listen. I'm so perched for a live performance. That Halle Berry voicemail message is cherry on top for me. :kii: But it seems Halle Berry loves her some Versace on the Floor too: Interesting verse choice, btw. Slowly I start to wonder what they're really playing in.

WSJ: It’s Joy Time for Bruno MarsAt a casual glance, you might not know that Mars is one of our superstar cavemen. Pulling up to an upscale Italian restaurant on an anonymous street in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley, alone in a relatively modest Cadillac, he parks in back by the dumpsters to slip in quietly. At age 31, the singer/songwriter/producer dynamo born Peter Gene Hernandez is unquestionably one of the most highly decorated figures in pop music, with 21 Grammy nominations and 21 Hot 100 hit singles. He has sold over 170 million singles and 26 million albums worldwide and notched his first five No. 1 hits faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley. His third album, 24K Magic, debuted at No. 2 in November; more than two months later, it was still parked in the top five.
With his old-school dedication to entertaining and his grounding in classic pop and R&B songwriting, Mars stands alongside Adele as one of today’s most universally beloved musicians. “My mum loves Bruno Mars and my son loves Bruno Mars and he’s 5,” says James Corden, host of The Late Late Show—and, recently, the Grammys—in a phone call. “I love how joyful, positive, uplifting his music is. It excludes no one. Everybody is welcome. I think he’s 100 percent on his way to being one of the greats,” Corden continues. “There are great showmen who get by without always having great songs and great songwriters who aren’t great showmen, but he’s both those things. He has this unquantifiable energy, where you want to watch it and be a part of it somehow.”
Bruno on 24K Magic sound: “We were trying really hard to tap into the ’90s R&B music that we grew up with, and it’s a very fine line—it can get tribute-y, it can sound forced,” Mars adds. “But that New Jack Swing sound brought me so much joy as a kid, so we took that on and did our best to try to get that feeling, that effortless fun.[...] “Don’t get me wrong—there is plagiarism when you just say ‘Hey, man, what are you doing? I’ve heard that already.’ And I’m not stupid, of course it sounds like [the ’90s]. We’re using these vintage instruments and there is a certain sound, but it’s not just regurgitated. You can tell that we were listening to ’90s R&B; it has that spirit. That’s what we capture, and that’s what I want.”
Bruno on live shows: “I want the show to be powerful, because people spent some money on a ticket,” he says. “I’ve seen some awesome shows. I’ve seen Prince and Michael Jackson; those are nights I will remember forever. I’m not doing my job unless I leave a piece of me everywhere I go—if you do the right show, it will stay with people and they’ll tell their kids about it. I hope people can see what I was feeling when I made the records. Then I want to go beyond their expectations and fly.”
Bruno on classic songs: “I’ve been singing amazing songs since I was a kid,” Mars says. “They weren’t my songs, but they were classics. So I’ve trained my brain to know what it feels like to sing an amazing song—when you do a lot of covers, you see it; you’ll play a song and you see everybody freak out when you get to that chorus, everyone is singing. It taps into something, whether it’s nostalgia or it just makes people feel a certain way.”
Bruno on collabs & endorsments:“I just don’t want to feel gross,” he says. “It’s as simple as that. I don’t want to feel gross, I don’t want to regret any decisions. Even if I turn down a sweet check because I don’t want to be on that billboard, hawking some shit to the world—I just don’t need to do that. Because you get one shot at this. I’m not a model. I’m not an ice skater. I’m not a chef. I’m here to do music. And I want to be able to look back and say, ‘Yeah, I did it the way I wanted to do it.’ Whether it triumphs or fails, I can live with that.”
Tommy Hilfiger on Bruno: “Bruno is a fashion leader, with a sense of style that is truly his own. He is almost chameleonlike—for one concert, he’ll wear an animal-print shirt, then the next, he’ll be in a tuxedo, and it’s all him, he is totally in control of his presence.”

Why is he looking so damn cute lately? I've noticed that too. I think it comes with the way he carries himself nowadays. He's confident and outspoken, therefore he doesn't hesitate w/ the looks. Let's be honest, half of them only he could pull off. I agree with James Corden on this: if anyone else wore half of the outfits he often wears they'd accused of having a breakdown. But since it's this charming, charismatic Bruno somehow it's cute and adorable, I don't know how it works... but it works... ...his tour starts in 27 days!
