Lately? The boy has always been foine. I had a crush on him since I first heard his voice on the radio singing "Nothin On You". Then I saw him in the video and perform on Rip The Runway. Always liked his aesthetic...style of dress, hair style, smile, and complexion. He's sexiest when he's performing, whether it's dancing, singing, or playing an instrument. Sex appeal is more than just a nice body...it's a vibe, energy, aura. And Bruno has that teasingly sexy quality about him.

Bruno: "Innovator is a very heavy word. ...It's a little ironic for me because I genuinely feel like I'm just getting started," Mars, 31, said onstage, sporting a black suit and sunglasses. "So buckle up. I don't know where we're going yet but we're going. Keep up y'all." via Billboard 00:00: Big Sean intro 01:02:Video: Honoring the amazing Bruno Mars 02:54:Treasure 04:10:That's What I Like 09:12:Acceptance Speech +

What was the last time he sung the hook for a rap song? "Young, Wild & Free"?
That's what his career started like. He sung the hook for "Nothin' On You". But he has changed so much as a performer, it would be interesting to see how would it sound like now.

Whatever he's cooking with Big Sean it seems he's serious about it. According to one of his co-producer's snapchat/insta posts, they've been working on sth since December 2015. James Fauntleroy & Emile Haynie are likely involved judging from these posts. ' He's also working with Skrillex & Missy Elliott. What was the last time he sung the hook for a rap song? No, technically it was Bubble Butt (Ft Tyga, Bruno Mars & Mystic) from 2013. No one cared. It peaked at #56. Mirror was before it and peaked at #16. Young, Wild & Free was released one month earlier and peaked at #7. Both from 2011. Kanye West wanted him on TLOP, but Mars rejected his offer.

I think there's no new music from him anytime soon as it should be... This album is still fresh. Selling great. Consistency is his best companion again. It tops 700k pure sales by the end of this wk. He's so proud of it that maybe he could milk it for a change.. But since he's already cooking sth there's a chance we won't have to wait 4 years for 9 new songs from him...

I didn't pay much attention to the album when it dropped (even though i love Bruno), but I've listened to it in full a couple of weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since! With the exception of "Perm" (which is an alright track), I love every single song on this! Btw, "Calling All My Lovelies" just came up on my speakers as I write this and damn, the production on this track is SO GOOD! Love everything about it but my favorite part is when it goes "Pick up the phone! pick up the phone! Cause all this loving... *pow*... Neeeeeds a hooooome" LOL

Wow. Guess who's praising Bruno now?! R&B Icon Bobby Brown himself: Q: Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic is very much an homage to the sound you helped create. How did you feel when you heard that record?
A: I felt great. When somebody pays homage to you, you can only accept it and hold it tight. I really appreciate him appreciating real music. That’s what it is, real music, you know? That’s R&B with a pop feel to it. I just love what he’s doing. x

And I am not the only one it seems! This is real music, and I am so happy it is coming back.

Album doing really well, passed the 2mil mark a week or so ago worldwide. "That's What I Like" taking off nicely across the world. Don't think the album will have any trouble going platinum in the US. "24K Magic" still #16 on US iTunes as well. Wouldn't be surprised if it managed to do similarly to his previous albums when all is said and done.

They seriously need to do SOMETHING with 'Finesse.' It has to see some type of light.

Wouldn't be surprised if it managed to do similarly to his previous albums when all is said and done. Technically, it's already plat but I guess you meant +1m in pure sales. Considering he's predicted to sell 21k-24k this wk he should be above that before his tour even starts in US. They seriously need to do SOMETHING with 'Finesse.' It has to see some type of light. So it turned of Finesse is the opening song during his tour. I think it's good enough for now, but let's hope it won't end up being Moonshine'd when it's a wrap. ___________ So Bruno's blessed Belgium with the 1st gig of 24k Magic World Tour few hours ago. SETLIST:FINESSE, TREASURE, CHUNKY,PERM, THAT'S WHAT I LIKE, VERSACE ON THE FLOOR, MARRY YOULOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN, WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN, GRENADE JUST THE WAY YOU ARE , STRAIGHT UP & DOWN, CALLING ALL MY LOVELIES, RUNAWAY BABY, UPTOWN FUNK24K MAGIC, TOO GOOD TO SAY GOODBYE It seems that exept for the album artwork, this is the main image on tour merch rn: + Current Album Stats:US: 753k sales, 1.188k SPS UK: 290k France: 160k Japan: 171k +2.3 Million Worldwide /18wks. US Singles Stats:24k Magic: 1.328k sales, 2.325k SPS That's What I Like: 570k sales, 1.120k SPS

^ I hope it won't be Straight Up & Down. I like other two, but SU&D is just kinda meh for me.
But I want an upbeat song for summer. Chunky or Finesse. Aren't they saving the ballad for fall?

All of this! I actually never considered SU&D for a single because, well, it doesn't sound like one. FINESSE should be next and I'm going to be sooooo upset if it's not.

All of this[2] with a small allowance or two: VOTF has a sort of balmy summer night appeal that I think would make it a good choice, albeit not necessarily my first choice. Meanwhile, Finesse for some reason reminds me of every fall sock hop, homecoming step show, and county fair ever, in a good way. It sort of gives me the little tingle I get when I remember Fantasy (also a sounds-like-summer fall release) being blasted everywhere. So even though I prefer Finesse to be next, I wouldn't be mad about it being released later, *if* VOTF is single #3. TGTSG is an almost 100% guaranteed hit, but it feels like an era closing type of single, and I'd really like Bruno to go at least four (preferably five) singles deep this time, so I veto that one for now. SU&D is just fine for what it is supposed to be, a great album cut.

So, now I'd be fine if VOTF was next, followed by Finesse and TGTSG for that late winter song that could possibly garner him some Grammy noms in 2019.

As much as I love it, that's the truth. I think the battle for 4th single might be between #3 & #4 seller/streamer - Chunky & Perm. This era is so tricky but so far he's playing his cards right by going with what GP digs the most. Commercially speaking Finesse isn't on their radar just yet. I think currently is pretty much like Moonshine: not doing much sales/streaming wise but many ppl gained respect for him because of it (same goes for CAML). Could he turned Finesse into a hit? I'd say yes... But it might be a reverse TWIL experience. It'd need momentum from several hit singles that came before it, full URBAN/UAC support, Bruno's time and promo opportunities. He won't be in US till mid june/july. The good thing for this era is that the entire album is in tour setlist which means he'll probably do his best to keep this album alive for 1st and likely 2nd leg. I completely agree w/ you on TGTSG, it feels like a farewell single, no doubt pop wants to spin it. They love when Bruno gets broken-hearted & romantic in his songs.

That's just my preference, lol. I honestly never had high hopes for it (or CAML) being released, but I still like to think about the idea of it Honestly I'm not even sure if any of the remaining uptempos are on his radar at all for remaining singles, even with Chunky and Perm doing well enough. Perm is a lesser 24k (title track) and I remember he kind of downplayed the idea of Chunky being a single when Carson asked him if that was going to be the second single. VOTF/SU&D/TGTSG might very well be his 3-4-5 punch, and he could get away with that despite them all being midtempos/ballads because they all have a distinct sound from one another. I still mourn the non-release of Moonshine :'(
