Despite hectic tour schedule Bruno, Nile Rodgers & Anderson .Paak had a recording session 2gether while they were in London. According to IFPI 2017 Report 24k Magic album sold 1.7 Million copies (physical shipment + digital sales) in 2016. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTUflufBzw1

#1! Wow I am sooo happy! As long as at least 2 other songs from this album are hits...I am good. IDC WHAT they are!

I'm happy TWIL hit #1 for two reasons: 1) it's an awesome song; 2) Mimi gets to keep her record title a little longer!

TGTSG better be back in the setlist once it's become a single.

So everything right now is pointing to Versace On The Floor being the next single.
What I love about this era is how stable it has been so far. No questionable decisions, no messy single releases, not even a big flop possibility yet. There are few albums out there right now that are handled this well. They screwed up the momentum "Starboy" had with double single release and waiting too long after IFIC peaked, they mishandled "Joanne", there is no effort put into promoting singles from "More Life", even the most succesful album right now, "Divide" started off with a double single release and because of this there is a different single pushed in the US and different one pushed everywhere else. "24K Magic" feels less unpredictable and is definetely less stressful to watch.

I hope Versace on the Floor smashes! Yeah this has been pretty sable. I was a little disappointed 24K Magic's chart run but that was still a stable top 10 hit and That's What I Like more than made up for it. And the album chart run is so solid, it may never hit #1 but the top 10 consecutive run is fantastic and he will cross 1M pure sales!

I still don't care for the title song, but it was what the GP wanted from Bruno and it's a success.
I'm still surprised that they released TWIL so soon.
You can tell the label and team want VOTF to be released and smash from the start. It'll be a success, without a doubt.

I agree that this era is handled properly so far. It's really refreshing to see. On one hand Mars is just as elusive as I've expected him to be ever since he's become his own menager, but on the other hand, he and Atlantic know when to do promo so this album won't loose the buzz and positive word-of-mouth that keep it alive and well. The promo that in my opinion injected the most consistency in this era include Carpool Karaoke, The Grammys & TWIL video. The BBMAs should follow and there's another promo already lining up: BET Awards. He scored 5 noms this year including AOTY. They're in stan mode since 24k Magic dropped. It seems Atlantic/Bruno are yet to decide what 4th single will be. If Versace becomes another big hit for him, I wouldn't be surprised If he introduces Finesse as the follow up at the VMAs. Why am I straight-up obsessed with Bruno now? I've always respected his talent of course, but musically, there were just a few songs here and there that I liked. He is giving me EVERYTHING I need from him with this era. I may need to see his Pittsburgh show now.

I even converted my mother over the last few days. She's even buying his album. At least you have a show near you! ::Shakes my fist thinking about the lack of an ATL date::

Why am I straight-up obsessed with Bruno now? I've always respected his talent of course, but musically, there were just a few songs here and there that I liked. He is giving me EVERYTHING I need from him with this era. I'd say this album does wonders for him. Plain and simple. It's like he finally starts showing us what he's truly capable of. I think That's What I Like, Finesse, Calling All My Lovelies or even Versace (cheesy as it is) could have been career highlights for several acts and they're on the same album. I find that very impressive. Besides, he let's his charisma shine. It's like he doesn't hold back anymore, has that special sauce about him, and swag for days, but at the same time he makes it look so easy. Like... this era is in such a cosy place rn, two major hits, Versace as the perfect follow-up, massive tour. The album tops 900k hard sales in US this wk, never left top10... He's just about to move on to the 3rd single, and there's so much potential left in it. It'll be interesing to see how far this era can go. ...but what always bugs me is... Why this man doesn't have his tour DVD? What's the hold up?! Jay D83 I know I keep repeating myself, but I'm still positive ATL will be added at some point. This tour already has almost 130 dates, but there's no Hawaii, Philippines, Mexico or Japan dates. It's unthinkable that they won't be included. So I'd say patience is the key here. I know It's easy to say because I'm gonna see him in few days, and I'm literally counting hours till the show starts, but for sure it'll be worth the wait. https://www.instagram.com/p/BT40p8bBnOj

He is easily my favorite pop star of the past several years. This type of talent doesn't come around often.

Thanks for the perspective on the lack of ATL dates. Its mind boggling how he's not coming here.

If they're smart, they'll do Finesse as a 4th single.
And maybe even some stadiums for the next few legs. These arenas aren't big enough for him.

If Versace becomes a hit, he will likely be a strong contender for Album of the Year at the Grammys.

Wel l there's still a few months left in 2018 eligibility period, so let's not get too optimistic just yet. But, this is how Billboard summed up his buzz back in February when TWIL was just getting started: Guess who's currently in the very good graces of the Recording Academy right now, after presenting a show-stopping tribute to Prince on Sunday night? Great performance (check that: multiple great performances) aside, Bruno Mars is a Grammy favorite -- his 2010 debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans scored an Album of the Year nod, while "Uptown Funk!" won Record of the Year last year -- with another hit single and album (both titled 24K Magic) in the air for next year's awards. For those about to bet against Bruno, look out! -- he's a dangerous man, with some Grammy goodwill in his pocket....but R&B field or Pop? That's what I'm really curious about.

Imagine him opening the show with the showstopping 5th single, "Too Good to Say Goodbye". My goodness!

I just love Europe. Any excuse to go back there is good enough for me. So obviously I just had to be there knowing It's gonna be where Mars' tour starts. But since I'm gonna see him again in Chicago x2 out of all places he was scheduled to visit on that continent I had no doubt that the show in Poland was the one I just couldn't skip. He has a very loyal fanbase there since NoY, but unlucky for them he never brought his Moonshine Jungle Tour there due to organizers'disagreements. So I did see him on Saturday, and now the only sentense what wraps all my emotions is (Bruno's quote) Poland, you're a FREAAAK! I've seen him live before, but this show in Cracow made me feel like it was my first time seeing him. His reactions seemed brand new on so many levels. The audience menaged to surprise him. Scratch that, they made him shook. The love for him was discernable in every corner of the arena. He looked so overwhelmed and moved by it. Then teary-eyed, Bruno responed in the best way possible. This man is just too smooth. Here's what happened: It was so intense and genuine. Such a meaningful moment I'll likely never forget. It wasn't the only time his eyes got teary. Another thing that gave me goosebumps - there was a little girl sitting on the stairs next to me watching the show so captivated that she just couldn't take her eyes off Bruno even for a split second. It was like a ghost from the past for me because attending concerts is truly what turned me into this huge fan of music I am today. Recordings or even TV performances don't do his voice justice at all. It's beyond my comprehension how incredible VOTF peformance was. The one he did at the BBMAs feels like an appetizer in comparition. He was improvising, hitting those ridiculous notes, so emotional because the audience was singing-a-long, holding lights... It was 24k Magic in the air... in its purest form... https://www.instagram.com/p/BUnO5BbgusE I think Polish people can already relax and be proud because in my opinion, it's pretty much guaranteed Mars will return there with his next tour, and who knows maybe he'll prepare something special for them just like they did for him and his bandmates. After that concert It became official I have a crush on him. There's no point in denying it any longer. If you're ever get a chance to see him live... Just do it, I promise you won't regret it.
