Even with AC, how is "Roar" not freefalling after those massive year-end-countdown gains? Those were taken out of the equation as of yesterday, so today the updates have reverted back to normal (in a week, bullets on the format chart will return to normal as well). On the full panel versions of the formats: Pop KATY PERRY Roar 32.278 (-0.156) Hot AC KATY PERRY Roar 25.016 (+0.081) AC KATY PERRY Roar 23.899 (+0.179) Rhythmic KATY PERRY Roar 6.112 (-0.033)

But why did she get consistent +4m and +5m updates and then not lose any of it? Same w/ Avicii and Lorde, I guess.

Royals is at #4 and so far has 19 weeks in the top 10 I think it could spend about 24 weeks in the top 10. The most of any song in 2013 was 21 (Blurred Lines, Thrift Shop, One More Night,, Locked Out Of Heaven) Royals will have some longitivtiy, and should be high on the 2014 year end list.
Edit: I say it will make the all time 100 It has over 4.4 millions sales so far, and is ahead of roar And it did Well on radio and streaming too.

Wow Animals by Martin Garrix is going to get a push at mainstream radio? I wonder how many will actually put it in rotation...

So radioactive and sail were 22 and 31 on the digital chart this week, yet sit around 40 and 50 on iTunes now...will this lead to a big hot 100 drop?

On a side note, will Timber or Dark Horse be #1 on digital songs this week? I'm guessing Dark Horse, but I just want other people's opinions.

Dark Horse is not "sure No. 1" (if you're talking about Hot 100).

I hadn't even noticed that DH had moved to the top spot on iTunes. Muy impressive for the track. Any plans for a video? That's the only real shot it has at topping the Hot 100, as that would boost streaming points considerably.

^Well, I meant in terms of actual news of the filming or a release soon. :) Seeing how great it's doing, no doubt they have plans to film one. And I wonder if they will take the title literally and include a horse or two.

I think they might have filmed it already. juicy sent this out from the shoot like a month ago, so it looks to be animal themed at least

^exactly. To think some feel Capitol/Katy 'all of a sudden' don't know what theyre doing (except w/ the minor F up 'Unconditionally' in which all is clearly forgiven lol).

speaking of videos, did Gaga officially decide not to release DWUW? is it because of terry richardson/r. kelly drama?

Now that Kid Ink's 'Show Me' song has taken off on Pop, I wonder how high it'll go on Pop & the H100.

I didn't think Beyoncé's lead singles would be struggling like this on radio.

I didn't think Beyoncé's lead singles would be struggling like this on radio. "XO" may be struggling, but "Drunk In Love" is doing excellently where it is being promoted (Rhythmic and Urban). In any event, it doesn't seem to be having any sort of negative effect on her album sales.

"XO" is No. 21 on Mediabase's seven-day rolling pop chart, with a rolling bullet of +1,275 spins (the third-biggest bullet in the top 50), so I wouldn't exactly call that struggling. It doesn't have to be perform as spectacularly as the album has. It's also top 40 at rhythmic.
Between this and "Drunk in Love," that's more than 75 million in Mediabase audience.

They promoted Unconditionally pretty perfectly, it just didn't connect like they had hoped. The lyric video and video are amazing. Even the teaser gave me goosebumps, lol.

But 75 million audience is barely enough to put you in the top 15. Lead singles from huge artists usually perform better than that, right? With all the buzz surrounding this album one'd expect radio to be all over these singles, just as it happened with Roar, for instance.
