Yesterday, Calvin began his residency, kicking off Omnia Las Vegas Nightclub's opening night, and you can see some pics below, courtesy of Rukes.

Calvin is currently in South America, where he's going to perform at some festivals. Sadly, none of these performances include Peru :(



Before his performance at the Estereo Picnic Festival in Colombia, he received a plaque for Motion, which reached the Gold status there.

The Sunday Times Style magazine issue is out, but sadly the article is only available for subscribers, so I hope the scans could come out in the following days. I mean, this is Calvin's first interview in four years!

On the other side, I have to be honest that the 'don't drink' part really intrigued me. I knew Calvin was a casual drinker, but I've just found out that he stop doing that for over a year through his Sunday Times Style interview, where he said the following about this:

"I gave up drinking for health. And I feel better. My mind is clearer and I get more done. I used to drink loads."

Good for him! Sadly, I still don't find HQ scans, so I will wait to find better ones to post them.

And because this is a music board, Dillon Francis has confirmed that there will be a collaboration with him ('falvin darris' :kii:) on his upcoming EP, which is due out this summer and it will be full moombahton. Although I don't think Calvin will do the vocals on it, I really want to know how it will be honestly.

Let's not be flippant simply for the sake of it. I think you know what I mean here. Clearly, I don't know either of them personally but based on what I see of the personalities they display, I didn't think that was a pairing that would ever happen. And now that it has happened I still don't see how they go together.  Of course Calvin sees it because he is with her.  That doesn't mean I have to like it.

My issue wasn't with you disapproving of their relationship (although I genuinely don't understand why anyone would care), but with you being unnecessarily disrespectful in implying that Taylor was somehow beneath the men she's been with. The judgement was really rich.

I don't think I was disrespectful at all (and there you go again with your parenthetical digs). I have already mentioned that I don't think she's that beautiful which is what I was basing my opinion on about how she often dates guys that I consider to be more attractive than her. That's all I was saying.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. She's a serial dater anyway. This will probably just last the usual 3 month period she seems to require in order to draw inspiration for her next album.

And before I get further off-topic, I'm going to stop.

Calvin is on the road a lot though and he is super busy so that can make it challenging to maintain a relationship and just be with the person they are dating/seeing and turn it into something meaningful and long-lasting. The long distance thing can work sometimes, but it's always a challenge. Taylor is also super busy. I can't help but wonder if some of those 'relationships' she has been in didn't actually happen, as in Taylor and certain people had met in public or were seen together and the press turned it into a relationship and everything that comes with.

If they really are a couple now, I wish them all the best!

Calvin finished his Latin American Tour on April 1 in Guatemala and you could see some pics from Conor McDonnell in Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and the latter below.

Also, he visited the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro with his crew.

I usually don't like to comment about Calvin's relationships, but I guess I will be in the minority here. Some days ago, I thought that Taylor and him were in the phase of knowing each other (a sort of way of 'not a couple, but let's spend some time together') when the Nashville pictures came out, but then I realized something: Calvin was in the middle of his Latin American tour in Argentina and he travelled to Nashville to go out with Taylor and then, he came back to South America to perform in Brazil. I mean, who would do this? Definitely, something's going on there.

And I think that this is getting serious in a sort of way after this and this came out yesterday. One thing that intrigues me, though, is that Calvin hates the paparazzis and it was something that he didn't like when he was with Rita because of the media attention both of them had, so I guess that he really feels something for her if he's going to back to that.

Anyway, if he's happy, why shouldn't I be? However, I don't want to think if they break up because, as Elle mentioned, their diss tracks are going to be so interesting that I'm also looking forward to them And, please, I also need something in the vein off Ready for the Weekend for his next album too. It's time, honestly.

As a side note, I still don't know why the media claimed that he and Ellie were a couple when they weren't. Oh! And since I'm talking about Ellie, the original music video of "I Need Your Love", which was directed by AG Rojas, leaked yesterday in Sohu, a Chinese videos website, and you could watch it here. Personally, I prefer this version over the final one directed by Emil Nava and I guess it's because it fits better with all the videography from 18 Months, bar "We'll Be Coming Back", regarding the 'dark' vibe all of them have. Also, it should be considered that AG Rojas co-directed "Bounce" and "Drinking from the Bottle" along Vince Haycock, who directed the remaining videos of that album, besides the Example collaboration, which was done by Saman Keshavarz.

Nothing new has happened about Calvin in the last few weeks, besides that he had the worst food poisoning he's ever experienced last one, which made him to cancel his shows at Wet Republic and Omnia Las Vegas. However, he felt better on Monday and he was spotted visiting a gas station and leaving Taylor's house the next day.

By the way, Calvin will be on 102.7 KIIS-FM's Wango Tango on May 9 at StubHub Center.



He's also nominated for three Billboard Music Awards this year in the categories 'Top Dance/Electronic Artist', 'Top Dance/Electronic Album' with Motion and 'Top Dance/Electronic Song' with "Summer" and he confirmed that his new track with Dillon Francis is finished. That Barney pic though~



Moreover, Motion vinyl copies were sold during the Record Store Day yesterday.

I guess it's not necessary to tell you that I so envy you right now, although it's not in a bad way of course! :) Also, I assume you already bought your ticket because the online pre-sales ones are already sold out! However, there will be some of them available on site the same day of the event.

Don't be too envious Juan Carlos. It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to go. I was too late for tix but I am working my PR contacts to see if I can figure something out. But even then, I have clients in town starting tomorrow and I have to do dinner with them and that usually means drinks too - I may have to cut them off early if I can get in though. Wish me luck!
