Its amazing how she can recover from the underperforming uncle deshawn Ali. She purposely put that out to show fellow pop stars that you can recover from an underperformer easily if you have perfect timing and bigger songs. I honestly think this will be a top 3 year end placement with a strong chance at #1. The video and performance will only enhance its potential for longevity. Also, i doubt walking on air is next and the fact that it is getting airplay now who dark horse as a monster smash makes it worse since it wont have impact and her team is not gonna look at that as an indicator. I wouldn't be surprised if her era (which is supposed to go well into two xmas seasons apparently) doesnt end up like this: August -November roar 5x plat Promo buzz holiday single ;) November -December uncle deshawn Ali if this thing is outsold by thinking of you...scratch that by peakcock, gurl. Smh December-early May dark horse 6x platinum Early may-august birthday 3-4x platinum Mid august -November this is how we do or walking on air 2-3x platinum Late November-February right in time for a valentines peak and holiday sales legendary lovers 2x platinum Close march-June ghost, walking on air or this is how we do platinum us or 2x platinum The slayage... its amazing how so many, artist can only get there first single to #1...but leave it too Katy...this girl is something else, shes on a roll again. yep we had quite a few the last few years...in 2010 B.O.B, Taio Cruz and Fareast Movement, (although the first two were extremely devastatingly close with Airplanes and Dynamite, respectively, which I wish would have also gotten to #1 :'()...in 2011 Wiz Khalifa (although Maroon 5's song was also devastatingly and frustratingly close and didn't make it) [ALMOST Cee-Lo Green :'(), in 2012 fun. (unless you count the lead singer's featured role on Just Give Me a Reason), Gotye/Kimbra, Carly Rae Jepsen, [ALMOST Ellie Goulding :'(], [ALMOST Psy :'( unless you include previous singles which he released in SK], I'm not counting Baauer in this -___- don't know if he actually released other singles, [Not Robin Thicke because he had Lost Without U reach #14 and a couple other singles reach top 50 in 2007], and Lorde in 2013...who will we have in 2014? Also I'm really happy M&RL weren't on this list because they were able to get 2 songs to #1  |

It's like in 2012 with OMN and GS: I wanted both songs to be #1 xD...well hopefully Team can hit #1 too so Lorde can collect another chart-topper, I've really gotten to like her style as well! She has a beautiful voice in my opinion! |
