I wanted to go, but she only announced the location at 7:30pm. By the time I left my house and hopped the subway, it would have already started. Grrrr.

I went and slightly made it in the nick of time (considering I left after 7 and live in Long Island City). She had performed Express Yourself for maybe a minute and a half when I arrived. The place was hugely PACKED. I was able to see her face for maybe about 10 seconds. Show was great.

My friend texted me to tell me she was performing a secret show. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of cooking dinner. Very cool though!

I heard snippets earlier, and there was one song I didn't recognize- was there anything aside from those five songs?

^I know that song, but just from hearing the snippet, it wasn't ringing a bell- or a hammer. ;) Thanks.

I am so moved by seeing all the celebs like M and Lady Gaga fight for Hillary. Of course it's a sad conclusion but there will always be a new horizon. We're going to be ok. Peace & love to ALL of us in USA.

I'm looking forward to her channeling her creativity and achieving universal relevance again, if that's even possible after such a long career. RH was a great fan era but her whole brand has become very self-celebratory. The topics of her age, sexuality, mothering style, etc., bring the expression "beating a dead horse" to mind. The 20th century was the golden age of female entertainers and femininity. Ultimately, I think M is very much still connected to that era and aside from nostalgia, there isn't much else left to explore. That's tough for an artist that was always grounded in the now. But maybe it's also that the "now" is never going to be as thrilling as our recollection of "then." This. I agree 1000 percent on this. She really needs to go into her wormhole and discover her next level. Everything post Confessions has been fun but now its time to dig a bit deeper and cover new ground musically and thematically. I've ALWAYS wanted her to go back to her roots, even more so than on Confessions, to make a true 80s style album again. If not that, I want another ROL - it's nearly 20 years after that self discovery so I'm sure she has discovered much more about herself now. The 80's was her strongest era, just cranking out hit after hit like a machine. It'd be great to see her make an 80's style album. Mimi did it with Glitter and it was one of her strongest projects quality-wise.

Any news she'll be attending the AMA's? They are held in LA, right?

I'm sad she's doing that now instead of when she has new music to promote. Otherwise, I'm always a fan of Carpool Karaoke

You know they will do the MDNA tour version of "Express Yourself" with "Born This Way" and "She's Not Me" to get people talking about all that again. I am predicting that "Hung Up", "Vogue", "Human Nature", "Express Yourself/Born This Way/She's Not Me", and "Crazy For You" will be done plus a cover of a Britney song. I'm sad she's doing that now instead of when she has new music to promote. Otherwise, I'm always a fan of Carpool Karaoke You know they will do the MDNA tour version of "Express Yourself" with "Born This Way" and "She's Not Me" to get people talking about all that again. The Rebel Heart Tour special is supposed to air on Showtime next month so it makes sense this will air around that time.

Joan of Arc is the best song on Rebel Heart, imo.

I still don't get all the love for Joan of Arc. It's the song I'm most likely to skip when listening through the album

We expect her to make- and fare nicely- on Greatest Artists lists, but this appearance was a nice surprise. Her ranking isn't that high, but to place at all is notable. consequenceofsound.net/2016/11/the-100-greatest-singers-of-all-time/full-post/90. MadonnaDebates over whether Madonna is a great singer have floated around her for decades — her voice is too thin, her sinking into the low notes on ballads like “Live to Tell” too uncertain. But she’s undoubtedly one of the best straight-up performers that has ever graced top-40 radio, making up for any vocal deficits with the Whitneys and Mariahs of her various pop eras by putting her up-yours personality front and center while culture-vulturing her way toward the cutting edge. (The Internet appropriation machine caught up with her in the late ’00s, but she held out admirably long.) A chameleonic performer who could play the teen-on-the-verge of “Papa Don’t Preach” as effortlessly as she could portray the sternly sexual Mistress Dita on Erotica, Madonna’s ability to push pop forward through sheer force of will transformed the game. –Maura Johnston

Glad to see Madonna made the list.
I'm listening to Don't Tell are for the first time in ages. I love this song so much! I love how she sings in it, the song really suits her voice well.
