^ That's cool of Lenny #LisaRinna and it's crazy to think of their parallels since hanging out in New York in the late 1980s; they had their first hits within a year of each other, have won about the same number of Grammys, were of course in Precious together, received the Global Icon awards together, and now this together. I see Diane Warren also replied to Mariah's IG post. So did Oscar winner Tatum O'Neal, who has been replying to Mariah on IG a fair amount lately. I wonder if they recently met or something. As best I can tell, how it works from here is that the entire voting body now submits who they think deserves to get in; so, people can vote for 1 person or all 15. The 5-7 nominees with the most votes get in, but to get in the artist also has to appear on at least 50% of the ballots. That's why it's a range of 5-7. There’s almost 1500 videos on tiktok using “Mariah’s” version of Selfish, one of them with over 500k views, another with over 200k. Everything from reaction vids to lip sync vids to the song just playing in the background of random videos of people’s vacations and makeup etc. The first upload of it on Twitter is over 100k views and the OG upload from the creator on YouTube is at 75k. I know in the grand scheme of things that’s not like huge or anything, but for a random Mariah Carey AI it’s interesting to see it gaining that kind of traction.

I find that rock hall voting a little suspicious. Mariah’s placement remains 7th, and the top 5 never changes. It is hard to believe that the fans of those artists that have not been that popular are actually tech savvy to go and vote everyday.

Yeah, she always emphasized before that she's a current artist that's still making music, but we just haven't seen that in a while. It was smart when she focused on her back catalogue more during the memoir/COVID time period, but we need something new.
I do wish she'd take some inspiration from her friend, Beyonce, whose last few records have been quite diverse. Certainly Mariah has more sounds or themes she'd like to explore, or just some good songs in general that she's been sitting on? There shouldn't be any commercial pressure like during her prime, unless she's still stung by MIAM's performance.
