I am not here for Capri at all! I will slap her if the sound and mixing quality turns out bad for this album. She has had 5 years to make this album happen, so there is no excuse for poor mixing and edits.

She said she wrote songs in Capri who knows if she recorded them there or not, maybe she went on vacay and got a moment.
The cover is basic but really who is here or cares for a cover? lets wait and see about the important things, the music and numbers. My dream outcome is a album that is of the highest quality in my own experience and manages to get to 500K at some point!

Her recording studio in Capri burned down. So maybe she wrote or even recorded there, but it's not the same studio she recorded most of her material at from 1999-2002.

So I've been creepily following along on the board without being signed in, thought I'd return for this. Lol. Well you can't say our girl isn't unique and in her own lane. I still LOVE Almost Home, the Art of Letting Go, and You're Mine (Eternal) but definitely ready for the new music after this interminable wait. I actually like the standard edition cover, the deluxe is okay, the Billboard cover would have been epic especially in black and white. My body is ready for this effing summer, autumn, and winter soundtrack for my life to drop, come on May 27th!

I think the problem is that word has only in history really been used towards epic divas with epic vocals so if you usually follow the standard pop lane i can see why that word hasnt been used in years daaahlings.

I don't think you have to worry. She chose well. It is right in her wheelhouse. I am curious as to who produced it. That is where I think the disappointment will lie if it doesn't live up. Some of the production on Emotions and Music Box was very reminiscent of One More Try. I'm curious if she'll take it back to that sound or do a more contemporary R&B version. If it's an R&B version with a drum machine, finger snaps, and a keyboard, I'll vomit. This. Her debut album was actually very strongly influenced by Faith. When I read Tommy's book, he said that that was one of her favorite albums during the time that she got her record deal. I know many people point out that her debut was strongly modeled after Whitney's, but you can very clearly hear George's influence as well. |

I think "Time" has a little bit more weight behind it and has a more of importance than those who dislike the name or call it awful. :) |
