Note the use of "apparently" and then "some." So, that person wasn't even 100% sure music was going to be played, and even if they were sworn to secrecy about the details, someone would have at least leaked that he/she heard music. |

I really hope that this "secrecy" its because she has major surprises for us with this album. HOWEVER, I'm also getting 'I'm-not-confident-with-my-material' teas from all of this also.
Ughhh. This whole thing has been so messy that I just dont know what to think anymore.
Anyhow, tomorrow The Fabulous Life w/ Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon airs on VH1. That's always fun to watch.

I am not really sure there are some surprises in store for us per se. I think it is just that with her still putting finishing touches on the album this close to her release date that we aren't going to get anything leaked/new information until closer to the album date. I am sure there is only so much she/JD can put out there especially if the powers that be at her record label have as of yet to hear the final product. I imagine the powers that be will want their say in what they feel works as singles or what songs they want discussed in general with the public before any information gets leaked to the public.

A piece just came out from someone who interviewed Mariah yesterday; Mariah was multiple hours late, for one, and the interviewer didn't hear music like she was supposed to. Mariah also told her "TAOLG" and "YM" may not even make the album! So, clearly the album isn't finished (nor has a tracklist been set). "So messy" is right. Thankfully the interviewer liked Mariah during the actual interview and was positive overall. |

Man... this whole thing with the press and DJs sounds like when a bad movie is coming out and there is ZERO pre screenings for any movie critics or public....
I guess they have a strategy in hands, but if your material is SO great, wouldn't you want people in the industry start a BUZZ after listening to it?

If the album is defnitely coming out on May 6 for sure, something is telling me she IS going to release her album digitally first then. I mean, how are physical copies going to be shipped to stores if it's not complete by now? With just short of 4 weeks left, is that enough time for physical copies to be ready?

I'd be shocked if the album actually comes out May 6. I'd probably be more shocked about it coming out May 6 than if it didn't come out until 2015.
