They played "You're Mine" and the interviewer noted Mariah's back to the "old Mariah we all fell in love with," she said yes but she's still trying to do things like a midtempo record with and old-school Hip Hop beat, things that make her happy. He asked her if she has a title for the album in mind and she replied that she does but she can't reveal it yet because she's going back and forth and she wants it to be a "POW" moment when it comes out. I wish someone would ask her about the covers she recorded. I didn't want her to do any for this album but I'm really curious to hear which ones she chose this time. If it's "Don't Stop Believin'," "Wind Beneath My Wings," "Is This Love" or anything in that vein though I will cut a bitch!

Also as I start my day blasting music and dancing in my room, I can't help but fantasize about someone covering " I Want to Dance With Somebody" and put a modern 2014 touch on it and while it would never happen, oh how I so wish it was Mariah and her voice on that! With a little less cheese and bit more edge/grit that song could even be better.

I don't understand why people get so intense over what she wears. She has been dressing the way she wants to dress since Butterfly, so you would think after 17 years of dressing the way she has people would get over it. Some of what she wears is tacky in that it just looks terrible on her, but it shouldn't come as a surprise when you see a plunging neckline or a low cut dress. She actually has been pretty tame per her standards from TEOM onward. I would say Nick and having children has actually rubbed off on her and tamed her style a bit.

Cant believe this is 3 weeks away. I just want this album to see how bad it really is because how bad can it actually be? I know Mariah is the queen of underperformance but, really...

I know You and I is one of her favorite songs but I doubt she is covering it. She has already done it live.

^None of it is confirmed, I just posted for the hell of it. Some of it could very well be songs Mariah have registered but would never see the light of day, etc.

Isn't there the Maxwell collaboration with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis? I also thought there was a Will Made It produced track or two confirmed as well?

3 weeks from today...I'm pretty excited because I don't really know what to expect based on the songs that were released. I wanna believe that JD and co. magically found fresh inspiration, the way Timbaland did for 20/20 Vol. 1...

I reported those credits a couple weeks ago. Not fake. I don't mean to be a bother but is there anything else you know about this upcoming release? Preferably like when the hell she is releasing the second single? And is she going to announce something related to the album soon? If you don't then that's fine. I'm just a little desperate because this era has been such a non-event.

LOL. I was gonna say, I could have sworn Jazzy reported that all those titles were real. However, whether or not they actually make the final cut of the album is another story...

LOL. Y'all need to chill. We haven't heard any of the TrollCocks songs yet. I won't pretend to think that they are gonna be masterpieces but hey, I enjoyed Love Story, Last Kiss, and the other derivative songs off E=MC2 so I may like these too. Oh, I LOVED Oh Santa! so there's that, too...

I am usually good for 1-2 JD songs, but more than that is kind of meh. The only JD songs I have enjoyed post Emancipation are Last Kiss and Cruise Control. Then again, the only songs on TEOM I enjoyed that were JD produced are WBT and Get Your Number.

Wow, if after 5 years of having us wait, she puts out an album almost entirely produced by JD, I'm going to scream! You expected he was going to be her manager and executive producer and not be all over the album?!! :( And the Rodney Jerkins produced songs didn't live up to expectations... Makes me so sad this project is already turning out to be her worst. Sighs.

Well, the Rodney songs might not even make the project supposedly.

Is the Stevie duet really happening or its just a rumour? Could she be coverig him as well. Well JD posted a pic of Stevie in the studio related to the Mariah album. We don't know in what capacity, though. He could just be playing harmonica like on the Drake song he did, or it could be a duet. No way to know. From UKMix: HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU Writers: Bryan Michael Paul Cox (i) Jermaine Dupri Mauldin Mariah Carey My bet is this is "How Much" with Usher off Rainbow, no? It would be weird if she did another song with JD that uses the same title phrase as an old track. Isn't there the Maxwell collaboration with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis? I also thought there was a Will Made It produced track or two confirmed as well? The Maxwell duet was never confirmed, and I don't think it ever happened. It was confirmed that Mike Will Made It worked on a song. At the end of the day, even if she worked with someone it doesn't mean it will make the album.

Really because I thought Maxwell confirmed it happened. Nope. This was his tweet: That was a question, not a statement. Also, someone at UKMix apparently tweeted Jam/Lewis and asked if they worked on Mariah's new album, and they said no.
