Singer-songwriters who don't actually play instruments rarely get the credit they deserve or become regarded as actual "singer-songwriters". Katy Perry is in the same boat. I'd actually say that it's also worse when you're not a rock artist. Alicia Keys has had to shove the singer-songwriter thing down the public's throats over the years.

I love those pictures. Her family is beautiful. It's nice seeing Mariah, who throughout the years was nothing but a work horse, slow down and enjoy being a mom.

I wish she would work with Detail because I could totally see her doing something like what he did with Beyonce and "Jealous". I also would love something similar to "Mine" get some 40 Shebib production in there too. I am excited to hear her Hit-Boy produced songs. I hope he really added some meat to her R&B. I think the thing that irks me about Mariah lately is her need to try and make everything cute from her writing, the production and the videos. I wish she felt comfortable enough with giving us something more raw and convincing. I thought about what I really wanted from Mariah, and more or less, I want her to stop making everything into some cute moment and make it more of a real moment where I believe she actually believes what she is singing.

See the keyword in why he is her manager is that not to control her part that he said. Exact wording that is key to Mariah and including anyone on her team. I must add it is really terrible all of the spelling errors in a manager's message. I can't get past that. It is one thing if he wants to do that in his own random messages, but when you are directing your message in regard to a project you are managing, then you must get those things right.

Some fans do get a bit ridiculous on Twitter, Facebook, etc., though. As many benefits there are with social media, it also easily makes some people look like fools.

Mariah and her family had Easter dinner with LA Reid's family last night. (I saw a twitter post of LA Reids wife). That must've been awkward because JD is taking diggs at LA (via Janent's last project) and LA has retweeted that Mariah needs new management...i wonder if JD came up in conversation lol.

The real simple thing to do is ignore the ridiculous lambs coming for him. Delete those messages from his Twitter or where ever else they send him messages. Trust me those messages from those lambs were ridiculous and get nowhere. Neither he nor Mariah has any idea of what they are doing when it comes to project management, and it is quite apparent with this era. He isn't going to control her period because he knows that is the fast track to losing his ticket to money. She is one of the few people left that believes in his wretched ass. He is running out of options for viable artists that still want to produce/have anything to do with him, so he isn't going to mess it up anytime soon. |

It doesn't look like Mariah is interested in working with any flavor of the month artists, based on who she has worked with on this project. Maybe on the next album, she will go that route, though I highly doubt it. For the most part, it seems Mariah only works with artists she personally enjoys. Plus, the last time she worked with an up-and-comer (which was probably at the request of her label), it blew up in her face, commercially and personally.

^^^ For sure, your right about her not really wanting to work with new acts lately but I just thought it would be refreshing for her to work with someone new as opposed to the people she has been working with on this project. Not to say there is anything wrong with working with people she has worked with in the past either. Hey I'm all for 90's nostalgia.

Yes...and again, as I wrote, she tends to work only with people she PERSONALLY enjoys. I can't imagine that the ill-fated Nicki collab was nothing more than label input. Mariah seems to retreat from experimentation when the results don't exactly pay off. For example, I don't see her working with Pharrell anytime soon. She could have jumped in the studio with him, based on how successful Blurred Lines, Happy, and Get Lucky were, but...nah. SS was a flop and To The Floor was a non-event. While #B wasn't the smash it deserved to be, it was pretty much universally loved and well-received critically so I could definitely see her working with Miguel again. Plus, she seems to really respect Miguel. I doubt someone like Iggy Azalea is even on her radar.

I wouldn't mind DaBrat or Diddy. Id rather Diddy then Iggy to be honest. I CANT WAIT for the Nas track. Nas has a lot of buzz going around lately in the Tri-State area. Hes being billed as the only Legend to perform at this years Hot97 SummerJam. I think Qtip produced the song too, and correct me if im wrong but didn't Qtip have a hand in producing The Roof? (my fav song of all time) I know it was a Shook Ones sample but I thought he had something to do with it. I think this era is about to begin and get really exciting. She definitely has some suprises up her sleave. Im excited for the Fabolous joint too. But I don't think she should work with Iggy. Id rather see Missy feature on a Timbo produced track. Hes been good again lately with Beyoncé and Jays album. My god I hope this is a successful era.. I NEED a new Fav Mariah Song.. I LOOOOVE #Beautiful. I really hope she has a couple more throwback tracks like that. and Id really like to see her do a throwback remix with Ted Smooth. I think if she did a re-sung remix with him? It would hit radio hard. People love the throwback sounds right now. and who better to be on one of those records then Mariah.
