This should shape up to be a great album. There is so much variety!
"#Beautiful" ranks up there with Mariah's classics.
"You Don't Know What To Do" is Mariah's best uptempo in years. It needs to be the next single.
"Thirsty" is a hot jam. I know it's a bit divisive, but I love it, and it generally got a good response.
"The Art of Letting Go" and "You're Mine" are solid album tracks. While the response to the tracks was tepid, I still enjoy them, especially "The Art of Letting Go," which was different for Mariah and has a great ending.

You know if I had to compare a song in her catalog to YDKWTD. I would say I hear a lot of elements of Make It Happen in this song.

EW tossed some more shade Mimi's way in a recent Bullseye. It showed the album cover, and wrote "When walking on water is the most realistic part of your album cover."
Why does it seem like, as of late, it's been throwing more shots her way?

I need to hear it in HQ because it sounds like I'm That Chick, and I prefer I'm That Chick. It obviously has a disco vibe like "I'm That Chick," but the vocals on "YDKWTD" are fuller and for that alone make the song better. I think there are also some strings and other things that make "YDKWTD" better. I like "I'm That Chick," but it disappointed me when I finally heard it. I like the live performances on The Hills better because of the fuller vocals and more prominent bassline. |

Yay. This should be leaking this weekend! Let's not celebrate that because the album leaking over a week before it gets released would not be good for sales. Plus, we are going to be able to stream it on Tuesday, so we don't have long to go anyway. |

After hearing "Thirsty" and "You Don't Know What To Do," I'm surprised "You're Mine" was picked to be the second single. I really hope they don't mess up the next single. However, won't the third single have to pick up traction fairly quickly to stabilize album sales?
Between "Thirsty" and "YDKWTD," I definitely think releasing "YDKWTD" would be a better move. "YDKWTD" is getting a better response, and like "#Beautiful," it seems like fans and non-fans really like the song. It should help more with sales than "Thirsty."
