vivo en Madrid!! : D. y tΓΊ? Soy de los EEUU pero viajo a MΓ‘laga (Torremolinos) una o dos veces cada aΓ±o. Me encanta EspaΓ±a. EstarΓ© en torre el 4 de julio por dos semanas (durante la Copa Mundial tambiΓ©n). I love Madrid too. But, Sevilla has been my favorite so far. I was in Sevilla for the first time this semana santa and fell in LOVE. I actually have been actively looking for work in Sevilla to relocate there. I love Madrid pero Sevilla tiene un color especial!!! : P

Its clear 'overall' the feedback for YDK has a slight positive edge over Thirsty. Both are very different kinds of songs. Thirsty is classic, mid tempo urban Mariah while YDK is def. more very early Mariah pop/dance (not really her thing anymore). People on here were saying Mariah initially was all about wanting Thirsty as the song to get pushed. I def. believe it as most of her output since the late 90s clearly has been more heavy urban slow/mid tempo jams vs. her earlier pop/dance songs like YDK. Since Butterfly (the one which represented 'breaking free' from Tommy's grasp/control) she's been quite vocal about her love for hip hop, rap and heavy urban sounds and dislike for dance/pop songs and esp. anything close to electronic/techno music lol. I have a feeling she's still pissed about Migrate not getting released. Thirsty has a very similar sound which is why she may be trying to get that out there (or something else very similar we haven't heard yet).
She may be getting resistance from IDJ who want YDK or the like. If there's nothing out/pushed to radio by Tues. then it's clear they're sticking to the plan of..well I don't even know anymore lol. I'm thinking a compromise will be met and they'll prob.do what Beyonce and Katy did- release at least few songs to different formats and see which ones click and stick.

People on Twitter are talking about hearing about a leak, but it doesn't seem like anyone actually has any links or anything.. Seems like people are freaking out about a potential leak, and then it started a rumor that it did leak.

Most albums do leak a week or so before the release, so a leak at this point would not be a shock, especially if it's due for release 5/23 in some territories.

The way people trip as if they pocket some of album sales' money. If the label given out copies then it is expecting the album to be leaked. It raises the interest for the album especially if it is good. Those who going to buy it, will buy it regardless if it leaks today or next week

It's frustrating to have your hard work just handed out for free. No I'm not getting a cut from the album sales but karma is a bitch and I wouldn't want my hard copy lifted and distributed for free.

If it didn't leak until the release date, people would still download it if they don't want to spend the money... Every album leaks, even if it takes until release day. Unless you're BeyoncΓ© and releasing out of nowhere, it's generally bad news when an album doesn't leak until release day. Means the demand isn't there.

The only thing I would download from a leak would be YDKWTD since we already heard it live.

Mariah just posted about Thirsty on Facebook, so I think she really does plan on trying to push for that song as a single.

Mariah just posted about Thirsty on Facebook, so I think she really does plan on trying to push for that song as a single. I'm not surprised. An insider has mentioned that Mariah wants Thirsty as a single but the label wants You Don't Know What To Do. I'm thinking that Thirsty (since it's reported to have an adds date in early June for Urban) will be an Urban-only single but You Don't Know What To Do will be a Pop single. Both of these songs would probably get played on Rhythmic equally as seeing it's her core format and they both are also Rhythmic friendly!
