At four years and eight months, this is her longest gap between all-new-material albums. But at least she's released a handful of new non-holiday tracks sporadically since summer 2012. So it's softened the wait some.

I hope she has new talking points for her interview tomorrow. I get so tired of hearing her talk about the same things over and over: I am going to diminish every other woman's pregnancy because they just don't know how tough mine was, this album was delayed because it felt so unfinished after my accident I had time to rethink it, etc. Girl just answer a question directly, and if someone leads you into shade, then embrace it.

I feel like we are going to get that, Mini. I feel like this album will be everything I have longer for in a Mariah album. We know it will be varied because we have #Beautiful (p.s. I can't stop saying this the way Splashiah said it in the back of the limo before the song dropped...HASHTAG BEAUTIFUL!!! *waves glass*), You're Mine (Eternal), hip-hop jams, dark & dramatic ballads, and live instrumentation. For all we know, this could be the TRUE second coming of TAOM. As mentioned before, I have learned never to count this woman out. Despite all of the false starts, we could be looking at something miraculous here, folks. I, for one, cannot wait!

I am cautiously optimistic. There have been hits and misses, but everything has moved in a general positive direction after the travesty that was "Triumphant". I know she can deliver. I am wishing she had gotten rid of YM and had another Miguel/Perez production. I would love to see her maybe work with Janelle Monae's producers. I would love to hear her do something in the vein of Primetime.
