She looks INCREDIBLE. That being said, without starting speculation, she seemed a little “off” during the J Hud interview. Maybe she was just tired but why is she talking so slow?? Does anyone know verbatim what’s going on w Tanaka? Tbh I've thought she's felt a little 'off' all promo cycle. She's been very articulate and coherent and such, but also very...reserved? More so to me she has come across like someone in back pain or something who has their wits about them but is struggling to be truly relaxed and comfortable. She seemed in good voice last night at least! |

I saw the show on Friday. She's my girl but these Xmas shows...they can be quite sleepy. Loved the hits melody, and would love to see that energy on another full tour.
During the xmas songs, she was literally like a tree - just planted right where she was. The mop song resulted from her saying the stage was a little wet, so maybe she was scared to walk and slip? In any event, I won't be going to another Xmas show for a while.

Without theorizing or getting into the gossip, I am definitely noticing a slightly somber, distracted, and disconnected vibe from her this season. I’m hoping everything is okay, and I understand if everything isn’t perfect in her world.
I also think she’ll warm up a bit. The first show was an obscure casino, and the Hollywood Bowl shows seemed more like a who’s who affair. I’m hoping these first outings aren’t completely indicative of what we’ll see at the larger shows and venues, which hopefully she’ll feel more of a fan connection at.
This also reminds me, The MSG energy last year was bonkers from the videos I’ve watched. Those always make me so happy to see.

Yes she has seemed off (even the J Hud interview was giving mid-2010s-riah) lately. I agree though, I do not like the Hollywood Bowl as a venue, mostly because shows there never have any energy in my experience. The vibe is more for a movie or symphony, not a concert where you want to move. So, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

I want her dedication to just be able to drop weight like clockwork in preperation for a specific time period yearly. Reminds me of Janet's ability to do the same (to a more extreme degree but still). That takes so much discipline! She looks fantastic as always (with or without the weightloss btw).
