I know it's basically redundant, but can we talk for a second about how amazing Mariah looks at the tribute?! It's just baffling to me. She looks like she did in that BET special in 2005, almost 20 years ago!

Mariah has crossed 50 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is now the 38th most popular artist in the platform, currently. That’s the fastest she’s ever reached that figure. Last year, on Dec 2, she was at 40 million monthly listeners and was the 47th most popular artist.  |

Mariah's voice sounds great on this tour... best I've heard from her in a long time!
On another note, I'm a little bummed that AIWFCIY is likely going to peak at #2 on the Hot 100 this season... but I'm thinking her team might need to make some changes going forward... such as making Pandora playlisting a priority going forward.

Brenda will most likely take these next 5 weeks. But never count Mariah out in the future. She always gets the last laugh. And whatever manipulation that was done this season against AIW will not last. I feel confident that in 2024(30th anniversary) there will be changes made even if those changes are the same tactics used against preventing AIW from hitting #1. One change I would make if I was Mariah(besides getting a much better PR team) is I would wait until later in November before the "It's Time" promo. Maybe push it back to the middle of November. Thanksgiving is late next year on Nov 28th. That's too late to start the "It's Time" promo but she doesn't have to wait until November 1 which still seems a bit too early. AIW is never going away. Despite the playlisting tactics, good luck in trying to keep this song from going back to #1 ever again.  |

"AIWFCIY" will still be #1 worldwide. Additionally, since a lot of Brenda's streams are programmed streams that don't count toward the RIAA, "AIWFCIY" will continue to remain far ahead in terms of its RIAA certification and could threaten to become the highest certified song ever in the U.S within 3 years. The fact that it took this much payola or whatever to dethrone it, and that it still only overtook her in the U.S., is testament to the power of "AIWFCIY."  ( colson Last year the 12x platinum cert wasn't posted by the RIAA until December 14, so a similar date this year is still over a week off. I could also see them waiting until next year for the anniversary and having it get certified 16x platinum or higher.) |

Where are this year's updated certs for AIW? If we don't get any updated certs in the next 2 weeks, then they'll probably wait until next season for the 30th anniversary. I have a feeling AIW is approaching 15X in the U.S. And yes, you are right, in about 3-4 years it could become the highest certified single in the U.S.

I haven’t given up on Mariah getting it on a later week this year. Form what I remember it builds a lot more airplay especially on pop in mid December. I wanted Brenda to get a week anyway. I think it’s really cool.

Guys, I'm bummed about the Hot 100.... but lots to be thankful for. I think next season Mariah's team will tweak some things, etc.... but more importantly, she's working on new music!

I'm surprisingly apathetic abt the #1. Like who cares?
Tbh, I've been a bit over AIWFCIY lately, and if anything I am hopeful this inspires Mariah to put her efforts elsewhere next year, or take a break.
