But she eloped with Nick and her appearance at MET (along with a bunch of other promo spots for the album) didn’t happen. I remember reading that Anna Wintour held a grudge after Mariah dumped the event in 2008, but who evenknows (and who cares, tbh? lmfao) |

It is interesting that of all of the things she has talked about concerning the Butterfly Lounge that she leads with a Caution track as an opener to kind of kick things off. Maybe she is testing the waters to see the reception to possibly use it as an opener for how new material can be explored. I really do hope she uses this as a larger platform if the reaction is well received.

I am thinking it will play out as the song moments in her memoir but focused strictly on the song and the process. |

Jermaine Durpi was quite upset the original was not eligible for the Grammys next year. This will be. It seems she is hopping on remixes because she does not currently have an active record deal for her own music. |

Will I listen to this? Obviously. I'm a die hard lamb and this is "new" Mariah music. Am I impatient for it? Nooo. How you guys can even get excited for this kind of BORING, done over and over (by Mariah) sound is beyond me. The "BE" remix dropped when the original was around the top 10, and the remix definitely helped it go top 3/5. It just wasn't enough for Mariah to get chart credit. "yes and?" was never a true hit in general, and to be honest the remix dropped at the perfect time if it was going to do anything. This "Made For Me" remix is definitely late. The reality is it's just not likely any Mariah remix is going to get chart credit. She needs to be on the original version. In good news: |

I'm glad we're getting something, but considering how strong the year started, I was hoping for more than Vegas and hopping on a remix of an older song (Vegas never really thrilled me). I hope she can jump on or be part of another project with a more widespread reach. I do give her props for "YAR" even if it didn't get her a credit.
