So now #B is called a buzz single too? I don't know but it makes me feel like YM was a kind of "fresh start", let's hope for an upbeat second single. I hope they include #B in the album.

The song, like her career nowadays, is going nowhere, musically & chartwise.

Billboard's classification isn't the be-all, end-all. Didn't it recently refer to #B as the first single? But, can't blame anyone for not being able to keep track of the single classifications or have it 100% accurate.

I haven't seen the label or Mariah refer to "#Beautiful" as a 'buzz single'. They also haven't been calling "You're Mine" the lead single.

Billboard may have called "You're Mine" the lead single, but Mariah and IDJ haven't, so it's a bit of a moot point. Mariah and IDJ have simply been calling it her "new single".

Why does it matter what is first or second or third or fifth??
You're Mine is the single opening the album. And she will have 2-3 singles after this. It's not like this being her fifth release since her last album means this is the albums fifth single and there are no more singles being released. Who cares what sequence it is. There will be 2-3 more after it regardless.

Any word if any of the previous singles are going to make the album? I think it would be a good idea as she can get more CMA sales, no? Just a thought.

As far as I am aware, #Beautiful will and Art of Letting Go. I could do without Almost Home and Triumphant being on the album. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Art of Letting Go missed the album. She will leave #Beautiful on as she will need the recognition for her album if You're Mine doesn't hit.

People nitpick over such trivial things. Clearly starving.
Meanwhile, I have "You're Mine" on repeat. LOVING it.

I doubt they'll include "Triumphant" since it did not do well critically or commercially (and is almost two years old) and would just serve as a detractor. "Almost Home" was always meant to just be a soundtrack single, and I doubt it will flow with the rest of the album. "#Beautiful" will probably be on the album though, which is why they're not calling "You're Mine" the first single.

Is she ever going to tell us the album title? I think "Eternal" would be nice.

I don't think anyone cares not the general public or media, the only time the media will care is if album flops hard. Then the narrative will be negative. Outside of #Beautiful the 1st single who even knows or remembers the other rift raft.

On a different note, I recently came across this amazing fan remix of Melt Away. Aside from a sudden jump right before the second chorus, it is extremely well done imo. If you like the Soul Convention Remix of AYNAF, you'll probably like this.

Looks like "You're Mine" enters Billboard Hot 100 at #88. Nice! I really like this song. I just hope she plans to promote it more, and not depend on just word-of-mouth, sporadic interviews, and breast appearances. This NEEDS to be promoted. Now, she may not have a #1 album, but it won't sale consistently if she doesn't amp up promotion.

Did anyone catch Morning Joe a couple of days ago when Wayne Brady discussed the BET Honors? The subject naturally turned into Mariah's dress
Joe Scarborough: She just loves expressing herself Wayne Brady : Well, she expressed both of them
Lol

I think my problem with Mariah is she has been all over the place this era. There doesn't seem to be a big focus/plan. It may have a lot to do with the record label not being interested in what she has to offer. Even the songs she has released since Memoirs, they have been all over the place. I am hoping a move from record labels after this era will give her some spark to do better.

It may have a lot to do with the record label not being interested in what she has to offer. Even the songs she has released since Memoirs, they have been all over the place. I am hoping a move from record labels after this era will give her some spark to do better. I think this is true, and the lack of focus has led to a lack of message. I'm not at all saying she could repeat the success of the Mimi era (not impossible but extremely unlikely), but what made that era so successful, besides great music, was that the message was consistently about the music. In interviews and performances, there were details about the musical direction of the era, the return of the voice, Mariah's craftsmanship, etc. Since then, the message is constantly changing. One day it's marriage, the next it's perfume, the next it's dem babies, the next it's dem boobies, lip-syncing scandals, delays, flops, whack videos, etc. I know I sound like I'm slamming Mariah, but let me be clear - I LOVE this woman beyond all other musicians. But that's why it's frustrating that her music never seems to be the focus of talks. Not many people are going to take a chance on an ageing diva's album if they can't even get a sense of what sort of music she is making now, who she is working with, what the music sounds like, maybe a not-so-cringeworthy video to advertise said music. I just hope she can get her stuff straight again. Yes, I know her legacy is cemented and she doesn't need any more hits and so forth, but what I'm talking about is less about hits and chart performance and more about just presenting herself as a true artist with a vision. I miss the Mariah who presented that image.

I'm happy the song debuted on the HOT100. I wish they would've put a banner up on iTunes, the sales could've been higher for sure. Still love the song though.

Stupid question, but Spotify and Youtube streams are equal in terms of streaming points, right?

I feel bad that the most exciting part of this era for me was her heart candy bra seduction shots she took for "her husband". She gave me David LaChapelle/Loverboy realness there!
