I'm delighted to learn she likes "To Be Around You" - such a feel-good track showcasing the best aspects of the "Emotions" album. "Now That I Now" is wonderful too! ❤
I wonder what are her thoughts on "Alone In Love", "The Wind", and "I've Been Thinking About You" - three songs I absolutely adore but have yet to be performed live.

At least Mariah will (likely) get one week at number one before Taylor takes over. Not sure the same hype will be there to get her multiple weeks at number one, but it’s likely the toughest competition through the end of the year now.

She also said she loves singing "Love Takes Time" live. #LisaRinna - A lamb asked her about "Forever" and she tweeted that she loves it on The Rarities (probaly meant the Tokyo Dome live version). She tweeted Babyface and said they should work together again when replying about "Melt Away". It's all up on her twitter.

Hopefully somebody asks her about I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT YOU. She loves it. Liron said on FOMM that it's one of MC's favorites on Music Box along with the title track (out of the album cuts). I'd like to hear what she thinks about it now, too, though. I wish someone would ask her about "You Need Me," "To The Floor" and "Just To Hold You Once Again" tbh. I love each of them so much. 💕

I’m losing track of where she said what with all the projects and promo lately but I remember her highlighting “Alone In Love” as a favorite from the debut (in the memoir I believe). Given all the things she’s said over the years, I think her issues with some of her early 90s material has more to do with the production and arrangements than the songs themselves. As a producer and arranger herself, I imagine she finds it difficult to listen to those songs without reconstructing the songs in her head and thinking of how they SHOULD have sounded.

@jazzysoul47 Oh, absolutely. I can imagine the frustration, especially for someone who's so involved in her music. It must be a similar reason why she cannot stand "Almost Home", since she barely had any creative control over it.

Might block Mariah for one week next week with whatever the lead single is, but I can see MC going back to No. 1 fairly easily the following week.

"Cardigan" debuted #1 with 34 million streams and 12.7 million impressions. "AIWFCIY" would easily top those stats. "Cardigan" also had 71,000 downloads, though. I don't see a new Swift lead single matching that, though. Surely there is some Swift fatigue at this point, and more so less excitement since it's her third album in 15 months.

I asked her about "And You Don't Remember", wish me luck. I love this song. I feel the pain and the emotion in her tone. Shame people don't seem to enjoy it that much.

I cant be too mad that Subtle Invitation destroyed Make It Look Good by such a wide margin in her poll (ended up close now) because I like that song but lambs and the world is sleeping on how good MILG is Not I! MILG is one of her best tracks this decade, SUCH a mood, and I picked it over SI (wonderful writing but the CB vocals tend to bring them down a notch for me). Also, we are NOT worthy of this Twitter interaction! Like, Mariah chatting about her catalogue with fans as if she is just one of us?! Wtf?! It is basically like if she wandered into Pulse and told us her thoughts on whatever discussion we were having 😭😭😭

Yesss I’d definitely choose MILG over Subtle Invitation! But gurl choosing To Be Around You over the timeless smash that is Now That I Know?!?!

"To Be Around You" is one of Mariah's greatest deepcuts and is infinitely better than "Now That I Know." Her taste knows no bounds.

In her Zane Lowe interview, she even mentions having this exact feeing regarding AIWFCIY. She stated that it wasn’t until recent that she could bear to listen to and enjoy the song without reconstructing it in her mind.

MiMi's upbeat non singles are amazing from the first 4 albums. Some of my favorites are: "Now That I Know, To Be Around You, So Cold and Iv'e Been Thinking About You". All four are amazing and there's really no need to compare because there all amazing. In my opinion all of them could have been singles if she/label wanted to keep the albums going. The ballads from "Musicbox" were also amazing even if the Big Lambs don't agree. I will take "All I've Ever Wanted, Just To Hold You Once Again and And You Don't Remember" over most stuff that I like and is out today. Hello, why are we trying to compare and lesson masterpieces???

I’m glad she gave David Morales a shoutout because I was wondering if they had a falling out. I stan the hell out of their collabs, but I really haven’t loved anything he has done lately. Still would be interesting to see what they could cook up though.
I wish she would do a feature or a one off with a hot DJ/producer though. So much good talent out there right now.
Edit: I totally forgot that Skream collab of “Time of Your Life” is out there somewhere...

Also, we are NOT worthy of this Twitter interaction! Like, Mariah chatting about her catalogue with fans as if she is just one of us?! Wtf?! It is basically like if she wandered into Pulse and told us her thoughts on whatever discussion we were having 😭😭😭 I watched an interview with Lenny Kravitz years ago in which he was discussing his music. He was asked to name the songs of his he didn't like and he replied "I don't have any." The reporter was shocked and went "For real?" and Lenny said "Yes. I don't dislike any of my songs. Not one. I definitely have a few close to my heart, that are personal favorites, but I don't dislike any of my songs. I wrote them." I instantly wished Mariah would be like that, cause that was back in 2011 when she was still guarded, going off on tangents changing the subject, or straight up shading songs from her back catalog (especially the 90s) and was only pushing whatever was new. These days, since 2018 particularly, she's so relaxed, open and cool when discussing her music. She's even made a 180 on a lot of her early music. We love a confident, unbothered legend! 😎

I love how mimi brings up her catalogue/old songs frequently. It's like they're her children and after all, she wrote most of it! She knows how to take care of her legacy and remind people of it ❤️

Yeah, on twitter, but to paying customers who go see her intimately in concert, she doubts that we even know half her catalogue. LOL

So what is the vibe in the UK? Is she looking good in the UK for #1?

So what is the vibe in the UK? Is she looking good in the UK for #1? Looks like she’ll get it. She’s ahead by a lot. Unless the UK pulls another stunt, the #1 is hers tomorrow.
