This one has great audio and she takes a video of the screen so you can see Carrie's facial expressions:

Last Name. Video is blurry, but OMG at that voice! Ever since TSOM, her voice has been sicker than ever!

Only one other time has she gone up the octave on the climax of "Last Name", this time was much more clear and pushed purely from the diaphragm! I truly think she's taking what she learned from her TSOM trainers and applying it to her music, I love it!

Release date says May 19, which would be perfect since it'll follow suit from the Billboard Awards performance (+ hopefully the Milestone Award win) and it'll precede the performance of the song being aired the following day.

So... will this be the first post-S4 season of Idol where Carrie will not make an appearance? Or will she be there on May 21?

I'd really love for Carrie to cover "I Will Always Love You" on the next tour. She sounds amazing on it.

I don't know if there's some sort of conflict there considering Miranda's connection to The Voice, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Carrie stick around LA for a few days after the BBMAs to attend the Idol finale, even if she's not performing.

Maybe she'll perform "Keep Us Safe" on the finale?

I was just spitballing about the possible SB performance. I'd guess that if there's no announcement by next week, she probably won't be there. No big deal. Maybe she'll perform "Keep Us Safe" on the finale? Since that song was done exclusively for the Troops event, no.

It absolutely could, but Carrie's mentioned a couple times in interviews that she cowrote this song exclusively for the event. I don't think she'll be performing it casually on other mediums, even if it means extra promo.

I dont see her missing her first idol finale since she won now, perhaps she'll perform alone and have Mirandas vocals pre recorded. Do either of then have anything going on around the time of the finale?
I really think she may perform this on the finale, come on shes one od the most successful winners.

There would be no point in her performing "Somethin' Bad" if Miranda wasn't there. It's Miranda's song. If Carrie performed solo, she'd do either one of her own songs or a cover.
