Even though she's not winning Country awards anymore, her camp is doing a s**t ton to bring her just as much -- if not, more -- recognition outside of the genre and its political debacles. A ranking on the 2014 TIME 100 Most Influential People in the World in the Icons section, alongside Robert Redford and even Pope Francis (+ the headlining slot at the gala), Grammys, TSOM, a performance on the Emmys, Sunday Night Football theme, Billboard Milestone Award, the ACM Gene Weed Special Achievement Award (note that this is a separate ACM voting committee that has no affiliation with the Music Row s**t at the regular awards shows), etc. I really couldn't care less if she never won a single CMA or ACM ever again, honestly. Keep the Grammys coming and everyone else in the genre will always remain inferior. I like to think that Carrie's Honours and nominations have been earned by Carrie and not something her 'team' has obtained for her. I do agree that her management team do a fabulous job looking after Carrie and , but again, I think their job doesn't pose that many difficulties when you have a Carrie Underwood to promote.

Any chance of her and Miranda debuting their new track on the BMAs? When are they? The single should be doing any day now if they're aiming for a Q4 release.

By "the single" do you mean Carrie's lead single? If she's aiming for an October/November album release, I'm not expecting a lead single until late July at the earliest.

All the more reason to rush the duet with Miranda out I don't think there's really a need to rush it. "Automatic" should peak within the next month or so, and "Something Bad" can come right after that, still giving it a good 2-3 months on the radio before Carrie's lead single drops. I'm personally not expecting her lead single until late August or early September.

Carrie has been nominated for two CMT Music Awards: Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year. Both nominations are for "See You Again."

July 26, 2014 - Carrie will be the headliner for the unveiling of the world's largest video boards by the Jacksonville Jaguars. She'll be playing EverBank Field, the stadium of the team. In 2014 alone, she's now headlined a show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, she'll be headlining another show at the BYU football stadium (55k seater), and she'll be playing this stadium, too. If I recall correctly, she's never done this much before. Anyone thinking that this could be some experiment to see how well larger crowds respond to her playing a show during an off year where she's not touring at smaller venues/arenas? Between the overall increase in attendance and revenue between the PO Tour and BA Tour + her audience expansion with SNF and TSOM, it wouldn't shock me at all to find out that this is their way of testing the waters to get Carrie into massive venues with a more toned-down touring schedule. Thinking logically, during her last "off period" (PO to BA), she did a promo tour of Australia and announced a Royal Albert Hall date in the UK, and then on the BA Tour, she made her rounds throughout all of Australia, scheduled more England dates, and also went to Ireland. It seems like they could be following the same pattern here.

Interesting that Carrie is doing a cover since this is the theme for All For The Hall this year:
The concertβs theme will have each artist perform songs that theyβve recorded and/or written, or a classicβ¦and theyβll tell a story about the song. Why they wrote it. Why they recorded it and what it means to them.
Technically it fits since it will be "a classic" - so I'm guessing it will be either "Jolene" or "I Will Always Love You" as those are the most iconic songs in Dolly's catalog that would fit the theme of the evening. I am extremely excited to hear Carrie tell stories about some of the songs she's written. I'm thinking that will make the evening very unique!
I would love for Carrie to perform a new song that she's written for the new album tonight, but its unlikely that will happen. Regardless, it will be a fantastic show with Reba, Kacey Musgraves, David Nail, Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge, Lee Ann Womack, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ronnie Milsap, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Brantley Gilbert, Deana Carter, and Kip Moore!

I don't want I Will Always Love You. It's so overdone.
9 To 5, Eagle When She Flies, Starting Over Again, He's Alive...would love to hear Carrie on any of those.

I wouldn't mind Carrie Underwood doing Islands In The Stream. Who would do the Kenny Rogers part?

She's done all those before. Don't y'all wanna hear something she hasn't done? She did "9 To 5" during the PO tour. She did "I Will Always Love You" with Dolly on her XMAS special, and "Islands in the Stream" with Kenny at the Kennedy Center Honors. I want to hear something she hasn't done before.

Didn't realize she did 9 To 5. Went to listen to it.
So I'll revise my list to Eagle When She Flies, Starting Over Again or He's Alive. :)

. Carrie Underwood nails Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" and rolls effortlessly into "Last Name" - All For The Hall! (Source: Country Weekly Facebook) As overdone as "I Will Always Love You" is, I'm stoked to hear Carrie's rendition; I've been wanting a solo version since her Christmas special years ago. Since Carrie toned it down a bit to match Dolly, I hope that she nails those notes and sings the hell out of this. Very few can even attempt to sing this, but Carrie could have another "How Great Thou Art" moment with this.

I'm sure we'll be seeing more Utube videos of the performances this week. And yes, she killed "I will always love you". But I expected it.

Pictures -- loving the straighter hair look. Glad to see a nice evolution into a new look for this next era. The way she built up to the climax, and all those riffs!!!! LEGEND. She nailed it. Will this be televised? Not to my knowledge. It was just a benefit concert for the Country Music Hall of Fame, which they do every year and I don't think its been televised before. Her commentary before the performance was fantastic. She's so, so personable and humorous. Loved the performance; she's immaculate.
