Very true, I bought his last album Better Than I Used to Be (2010) and was a solid album. It was a shame the title track, although released as a single, never charted. Although I like Tim McGraw's version one year later, I like Sammy's better. Most definitely. Also, while not a single, the track "The Snow White Rose of Arlington" on that album, written by Hugh Prestwood, is downright amazing, IMO:

Some I can think of,
"When Love Gets a Hold of You"- Reba "Somebody's Chelsea"- Reba "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia"- Reba (The fact that this wasn't a top ten is an injustice.) "Fancy"- Reba (Surprising that it didn't get higher than 8 and it has still become an iconic song.) "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You"- Kellie Pickler (Beautiful, amazing, heartfelt song. Shame on radio.) "I Got A Car"- George Strait (I know it's still charting, but I'm sure it won't get a position it deserves.) "So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore"- Alan Jackson (Well-written pure country, should have been recognized.) "I May Hate Myself in The Morning"- Lee Ann Womack (Amazing song, should've been an easy #1.) "Relentless"- Jason Aldean
This is just a few, that were wrongly treated by radio.

Rachel Proctor - Didn't I Catherine Britt - The Upside Of Being Down Ashley Monroe - Satisfied Katrina Elam - Love Is Erika Jo = I Break Things Trisha Yearwood - Tryin' To Love You Heidi Newfield - What Am I Waiting For The Wreckers - Tennessee Jessie James - Military Man (go ahead and judge me) Sarah Buxton - Space God, there are so many!

As a kid I remember loving Swimming in Champagne by Eric Heatherly for some reason. They aired it on The Box in my area (am I the only person who had country vids on my box?). He really deserved more, especially since he was one of the few people that year to be a "classic" country singer.

^ I Agree fully on this. Eric was such a great talent that was sadly overlooked other than his first single. :(

Outstanding list Jordan! Unfortunately my computer is down for the night so I can't comment the way I would like to, but "Separate Ways" by Rick Trevino is a great one. Also agree on "The Upside Of Being Down", "We Shook Hands" by Tebey, "Goes Down Easy", "In Terms Of Love", and "Blue Sky".
Couple more that I just thought of.
Hard Secret To Keep - Mark Chesnutt That Summer Song - Blue County Bad As I Want To - Matt Jenkins Down By The River - Vincent D. Williams Dead Flowers - Miranda Lambert Henry Cartwrights Produce Stand - Trent Tomlinson

05. Marcel - "Tennessee" - N/A (2003/Mercury) I had completely forgotten about Tennessee, that's definitely a great one. Also, can't believe I forgot Radney Foster's "Scary Old World". That one should be in my top 5.

2. Anne Murray: "Who's Leaving Who" - #62 (1986) 6. Johnny Cash: "Chicken In Black" - #45 (1984) 11. Louise Mandrell: "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips" - #35 (1988) "Who's Leaving Who" was the second single from her album A Little Good News. The first single (the title song) and the third ("Just Another Woman in Love") both hit #1, so the failure of "Who's Leaving Who" seemed out of place. I read once that the label was really promoting it to pop radio more than country, but it didn't catch on there either. "Chicken in Black" is a great novelty song ("You ought to see the Johnny Chicken show"). "I Wanna Hear it From Your Lips" was originally a Top 40 pop song for Eric Carmen. ETA: I just realized I was confusing two lower-peaking Anne Murray songs. The song I was actually thinking of is "That's Not the Way (It's S'posed to Be)," which peaked at #46 in 1984.

3. "Not Ready To Make Nice" - Dixie Chicks 10. "You Can't Make Old Friends" - Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton YESSSSS. I'm disgusted with myself for forgetting to include these two.

I'm not able to narrow it down to 10 so I'm going to do it my own way lol I'll do a top 30 for males, females and groups. Also if the song made the top 30 on Billboard then I wouldn't include it. These are the songs that I've come up with after 4 hours of going through my library. I honestly feel all of these are amazing songs that should've smashed but instead flopped on radio. It was very sad putting this list together because I had to realize how many great songs never got their chance. ... What an amazingly well-thought out list. More than a few of these songs would have easily made my list had I thought harder. I haven't heard many of the songs you listed, but based on your great taste, I sure I am well-advised to check them out. Definitely going to bookmark this post to help me with future buying decisions. Well done!

Very true, I bought his last album Better Than I Used to Be (2010) and was a solid album. It was a shame the title track, although released as a single, never charted. Although I like Tim McGraw's version one year later, I like Sammy's better. Most definitely. Also, while not a single, the track "The Snow White Rose of Arlington" on that album, written by Hugh Prestwood, is downright amazing, IMO: I believe it was released as a single however it unfortunately never charted just like the title track. Such a GREAT song! What else can you say... I really liked "I See Red" from that album as well and think it could've done well as a single, but probably would've met the same fate as the first two singles. It was written by Wil Nance, Dean Dillon, Buddy Brock.

There are so many, but I'll try to limit this to one per artist: 1. "Flies On The Butter" - Wynonna 2. "When Love Gets A Hold Of You" - Reba McEntire 3. "Not Ready To Make Nice" - Dixie Chicks 4. "Stealing Kisses" - Faith Hill 5. "I Still Miss Someone" - Martina McBride 6. "On A Bus To St. Cloud" - Trisha Yearwood 7. "What Made You Say That" - Shania Twain8. "Follow Your Arrow" - Kacey Musgraves 9. "Damn Right" - Terri Clark 10. "You Can't Make Old Friends" - Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton What Made You Say that is easily one of my top 5 fav Shania songs!!! Right up there with Forever & For Always, No One Needs To Know, and Party For Two. Speaking of Party For Two, it deserved to do better on radio! Such a fun song!

I made a Spotify playlist of Kanenrá:ke Stacey's playlist (I also added a few of the ones I listed as well). Spotify didn't have all the songs in their list, but was able to get 74/90. The link is below. Just wanted to thank you. This has been my playlist the entire day :)

My iPod remind me of this song earlier today... I don't consider myself a Jaida Dreyer's fan, although I really like her, but I think this song is just so good! I absolutely love the studio version, but I couldn't find it on Youtube. Anyway, a great catchy uptempo song that went nowhere.

1. Bourbon in Kentucky - Dierks Bentley 2. Draw Me a Map - Dierks Bentley 3. Follow Your Arrow - Kacey Musgraves 4. Fill in the Blank - Greg Bates 5. Guinevere - Eli Young Band 6. Dead Flowers - Miranda Lambert 7. Little Bit Gypsy - Kellie Pickler 8. We Rode in Trucks - Luke Bryan 9. Sinners Like Me - Eric Church 10. Hell on Heels - Pistol Annies
(I did this totally off the top of my head. Honorable mention goes to Relentless by Jason Aldean; it peaked at #15 but is his lowest-peaking single to date. And one of his best songs, ever.)

I guess I'll continue my previous list, and extend it from 25 to 50. Boredom attack, so bear with me :). 26. Nineteen - Waycross (Really anybody who has recorded this, including Billy Ray Cyrus, Crossin Dixon, and Bill Gentry) 27. More - Rockie Lynne (I loved "Lipstick", but this was his best release bar none. It's max spins for a single weeks was only around 80!...ugh) 28. Twenty Years And Two Husbands Ago - Lee Ann Womack (From a superb album. Classic country song from one of the best voices in the business) 29. Angels - Randy Travis (This song was so moving to me. The hook line came from nowhere. One of Randy's best and a ton of people never heard it :'() 30. It's My Time (Waste It If I Want To) - Steve Holy (Everyone, and I mean everyone can relate to this song. Might even be a theme song for many of us on Pulse ;)) 31. I'm About To Come Alive - David Nail (His first release off MCA, and a great vocal performance. But again everything is from David) 32. Spoken Like A Man - Blaine Larsen (This guy should be a star, selling out arenas right now. I am flabbergasted how radio didn't play this guy) 33. Boy Like Me - Jessica Harp (The lyrics are the only thing not great about this song. But the production and vocal delivery from Jessica more than makeup for it) 34. Unbroken Ground - Gary Nichols (Speaking of great vocal delivery. I love how he sang this song and I thought the song itself was so cleverly written) 35. Cold - Jeremy McComb (I still don't know what's better. This song or "This Town Needs A Bar". But I'll include this one) 36. Never Mind Me - Big & Rich (Now, I stilll think this should have went much higher, but it never surprised me that this didn't do well. The song is fantastic though. When Big & Rich wrote songs like "Leap Of Faith", "Live This Life", "I Pray For You", "8th Of November", and this, they were great) 37. You Don't Know A Thing - Steve Azar (Absolutely love the lyrics to this song. "You Don't know what really matters, until you risk it all". Great line!) 38. Henry Cartwright's Produce Stand - Trent Tomlinson (Another example of how good Trent really is) 39. Why Me - Lost Trailers (This is actually my favorite song of theirs. It barely edges out "Call Me Crazy". It's a shame they are no longer together as a group) 40. Eighteen Inches - Lauren Alaina (I love these kind of story songs on country radio. And Lauren's killer vocals should have been plenty for this to be a smash) 41. Swinging For The Fence - Billy Dean (Another artist who should have been even bigger than he was. I love, love, love this song. It never gets old, and is damn near impossible to not sing along to when I play it) 42. Dealin' - Carolina Rain (What a great song that speaks to every single person that hears it. It never even charted...SMH) 43. A Hard Secret To Keep - Mark Chesnutt (Now this is country music. Talk about a story line) 44. Country Star - Pat Green (Maybe this is a guilty pleasure. But either way this was flying up for Pat before they pulled it for "What I'm For" which barely cracked top 30 itself) 45. Bad As I Want To - Matt Jenkins (Haunting feel to this song and a great vocal performance. I'm so glad I can listen to this song now thanks to a awesome fellow pulser :))) 46. In Terms Of Love - SheDaisy (Maybe my favorite song by these girls. I can't believe it flamed out just inside the top 30 on Mediabase) 47. The Last Of A Dying Breed - Neal McCoy (A farming song done right. I love the chorus of this song and wished radio would have stuck with Neal after "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On") 48. Dixie Rose Deluxe's - Trent Willmon (Just recently I forgot how good this song was. But my station completely ignored it) 49. I Need A Vacation - Rebecca Lynn Howard (I could have put "No One'll Love Me", but this was much more radio friendly. Very surprised when it failed to reach top 40) 50. You're Gonna Love Me - Chris Young (Classic sound from Chris. It really stinks that his first album stuff didn't do well as I feel it was some of his best work he's done) I didn't name some due to others mentioning them. But I did duplicate a couple that were said already. I have the peaks for these but too lazy to look them up right now. I might edit then in when I'm more up to it .

I wish the singles from the 8 Seconds Soundtrack would have done a little better. McBride & the Ride - No More Cryin'(1994, #26) Billy Dean - Once in a While (1994, #53) David Lee Murphy - Just Once (1994, #36) Although it wasn't a single and didn't chart, another song from the soundtrack I heard on the radio a few times was John Anderson's version of "Burnin' Up the Road." That was previously the title song from McBride & the Ride's debut album.
