As of today Happy is: #3 on Pop #5 on Hot AC #2 on Rhythmic #5 on Urban #2 on Urban AC #19 on Triple A Edit: #13 on AC Which shows that there is still an immense amount of growth still readily available for this track. By this time in Blurred Lines audience it was already #1 on at least 2 or 3 of those formats. On Pop alone he has another 14-16 million in audience that he can gain if he hits #1.

Thanks for posting the charts.
I may have missed the answer in another thread, but why did "Partition" see that big increase last week? Was there a release of a second video (after the one that was released with the album)?

Ahh, OK- thanks. Wasn't sure if all of the videos had been uploaded- I imagine it wasn't previously available on YouTube, either?

Thanks for posting the charts. I may have missed the answer in another thread, but why did "Partition" see that big increase last week? Was there a release of a second video (after the one that was released with the album)? People wanted to see Beyonce go from Independent Women to Hoochie Mama and setting back feminism 40 years. The controversy sure helped. Very well played for a song/video that had been out for three months. Before h8r go crazy, I think the song is actually brilliant despite the lyrics.

Let It Go is a much bigger hit than #9, but cuz there's zero airplay, that's all it can get to so far. But that's the nature of the charts.

The controversy sure helped. Very well played for a song/video that had been out for three months. Before h8r go crazy, I think the song is actually brilliant despite the lyrics. you don't think Partition sets women back 40 years? The lyrics are terrible, and if Beyonce was a girl in your high school, she'd be called every horrible name in the book based on how she acts on stage and the lyrics she sings. But our society calls it art when it's a pop singer. I don't buy the whole Beyonce image. I think she's a terrible role model for young girls. I know she's a goddess here, but if you think that's how you should act as beautiful as she is, you're misinformed. And Jay-Z is probably just pimping her out. No way I would ever be ok with my girlfriend doing a stripper routine on an awards show, or singing the lyrics she sings. Have some self respect, and respect for your fans buying your 'art'. But that's just my opinion.

Before h8r go crazy, I think the song is actually brilliant despite the lyrics. not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, and I don't mean to totally derail this thread, but I don't see how a woman enjoying sex with her husband is so anti-feminist. yes, there's some extremists who believe that true feminism means living a life completely free from men, on an all-female commune. but isn't it more reasonable to look at feminism as being about equality and the power to make your own choices? Beyoncé co-wrote and co-produced a song about fooling around with her husband in the back of a limo. sure, you could argue she's in a submissive role in some ways in that situation, but it's still ultimately on her terms. now, if this was a song that had been written entirely by men and she had only recorded it because male label execs pressured her to, it'd be a different story. bottom line: feminists can enjoy sex too. #rantover
