Summer is 12 weeks off still. Get Lucky wasn't released until it was practically summer. we're in March and GL was released in mid-April and it's not 12 weeks off it's more like 8 weeks...songs of the summer chart is based on I think Columbus Day (mid to end of May) weekend issue until Labor Day weekend (beginning of September) Columbus Day is in October. I think you meant to say Memorial Day.

#Selfie is now number 8 on itunes. Looks like this is moving up fast. If the video becomes more viral maybe this does have a chance at the next #1. God, I hope not.

Ha! Pharrell is gonna be the producer for the #1 and #2 song with the greatest audience in history. When will Max Martin and Dr. Luke make universal jams like this. NEVAH! He's going for that Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) for a 2nd year in a row.

The only way I could see this going to #1 at any time is by someone making a viral video that somehow blows up. Yes, there are prob. tons out there already but it's only a matter of time before 'one' super clicks/ explodes during a one or two week period. That said, the song is so god awful yet it's just 'so bad' and silly I can't turn it off (so far) lol. There's no way even the people behind it didn't know 'what' they have/did here lol. No doubt w/in a few weeks when it's not so new and the novelty wears off I won't be able to flush this off the radio quick enough haha. I think that will be the case in its overall performance w/ the public. It's a very 'right now' red hot novelty song unlike a song like 'Happy', 'All Of Me' which are multi format songs that are already turning into 2014 classics and will maintain their insane airplay and sales.

Very interesting article! Debuts from Justin Timberlake, and a Pitbull double Published: 3/10/14 www.radiowavemonitor.com/rtf/2013/new_on_the_charts_031014.aspxSix titles debut on the RadioWave 100 this week, including a Most Added winner from Justin Timberlake, and the debut single from Atlanta-area rapper Young Thug, who got a lot of support from local radio before breaking nationally. Pitbull's follow up to 'Timber' takes little time getting started, and he also helps out, on another chart entry, from Austin Mahone. The highest debuting song of the week belongs to Justin Timberlake. 'Not A Bad Thing', the latest release from his The 20/20 Experience landed at #52, largely due to 80 station adds over the chart week. The single topped 11.1 million impressions against 1,838 plays, earning an audience-per-play average of 6,086. A quarter of those plays were via the Clear Channel network, which aired the the track across its affiliates 462 times. Combined, Clear Channel stations accumulated 5.8 million impressions, accounting for 52.5% of its audience total. The most supportive of the Clear Channel affiliates, Hot 99.5, aired the track in heavy rotation, spinning it 52 times. CBS Radio generated 3.1 million impressions against 264 plays, which totaled 14.6% of its overall spin count. Among CBS affiliates, two stations - Hot 95.7 Houston and KLUC Las Vegas, offered the most support, airing 'Not A Bad Thing' 40 and 48 times, respectively. Outside of the US, Canadian group Bell Media added 358,000 impressions to its total, which accounted for 3.2% of all audience figures. Pandora led among streaming services, placing the track in once-per-day rotation on its Hits channel. 'Not A Bad Thing' is Timberlake's 11th trip to the RadioWave 100. His most recent hit, 'TKO', peaked at #17 a few weeks ago. In addition to landing a spot on the RadioWave 100, it also moved from #38 to #27 on the CHR/Pop chart, and from #83 to #37 on the Adult Hits chart. On the CHR/Rhythmic chart, 'Not A Bad Thing' entered at #100. Further down the chart, at #88, is Atlanta native Young Thug, and his first chart entry 'Stoner'. Young Thug received quite a bit of support in his hometown before his debut single crossed regions, eventually building impressions that topped 6.2 over the chart week. 'Stoner' accumulated 939 plays, earning a 7-day audience-per-play average of 6,609. Among the 49 stations actively airing the track, two stations - WJMH (Entercom) and Hot 108 Jamz (Shoutcast) - scheduled the single in heavy rotation, both playing it more than 60 times. Between broadcast groups, 'Stoner' earned 28.7% of its support from the Radio-One network. Among its affiliates, Radio-One scheduled the single 270 times over the week, 51 more plays than the previous period, accumulating 1.5 million impressions. On-Demand plays from YouTube generated just under 1.1 million impressions, while Shoutcast affiliates generated 875,000 impressions against 71 plays. 'Wild Wild Love' from Pitbull bowed at #94, earning Mr. Worldwide his 20th RadioWave chart hit. Finishing the week with 5.7 million impressions against 525 plays, 'Wild Wild Love' generated an outstanding audience-per-play average of 10,974. Nearly all of that support was via CBS Radio, where he earned 4.7 million impressions (82%). The top CBS Radio broadcasters, 92.3 Now FM and 102 Jamz Orlando, scheduled the single in heavy rotation, airing it 58 and 51 times, respectively. With 37 station on board, 'Wild Wild Love' earned a plays-per-station index of 14, indicating many supporting broadcasts launched it in light rotation. It gained rapidly over the week, starting the chart period with 54 plays on Friday, and growing by 94% to finish with 105 plays the following Thursday. In its second week on the CHR/Pop chart, 'Wild Wild Love' rose from #45 to #32. It also debuted at #99 on the CHR/Rhythmic chart. Pitbull's most recent single, the Ke$ha-assisted 'Timber', peaked at #2 on the RadioWave 100 in January. Pitbull appears again at #98, but as a featured vocalist, helping out Austin Mahone on his third RadioWave hit, 'Mmm Hmmm'. Most recently, Mahone hit #40 last summer with 'What About Love', and previously, he got to #21 in 2012 with his first - and biggest - hit, 'Say Somethin'. Starting out with 5.4 million impressions against 1,500 plays, 'Mmm Hmm' earned an audience-per-play average of 3,468 in its debut week, indicating that most current supporters are in mid-sized markets, or are keeping spin counts relatively low. With 98 stations on board this frame, the single finished the week with a plays-per-station index of 16, placing it in the 1-2 plays per day range. One station from SiriusXM, 20 On 20, scheduled it in heavy rotation, with 69 airings over the period. Among networks, Cumulus accounted for the majority of Mahone's broadcasts support, generating 34.5% of his total airplay counts. Most of those broadcasts delivered mid-range impression totals, which, when combined, topped out at 584,000. Clear Channel played the track far less across its network of affiliates, just 133 times, compared to 533 for Cumulus, but delivered 1.4 million in total impressions. Among netcasters, Live365 affiliates delivered 101 total impressions, but plays across the monitored Shoutcast broadcasts declined to 74. VEVO generated 884,000 plays, down 24,000 from the previous period, while YouTube topped 123,000. At #99 is the current #3 UK hit from Sam Smith, 'Money On My Mind', the second release from his debut album, but his first to break the RadioWave 100. Earning 5.4 million impressions over the week, Smith is pulling much of his support from influential UK broadcasters Capital FM, and BBC Radio, as well as videocast VEVO. Capital FM supplied 1.5 million impressions across its national network of affiliates, totaling 29.6% of all support, while VEVO finished the week just behind, with 1.2 million impressions. Totals on Capital FM were 34,000 ahead of the previous week, and VEVO grossed 203,000 more views. Danish band New Politics, who've landed prime gigs opening for Pink and Fall Out Boy recently, land at #100 with 'Tonight You're Perfect'. Their follow-up to their #77 breakthrough hit from last year, 'Harlem', got started with 5.3 million impressions against 1,500 plays. It's actively airing on 94 monitored broadcasts, with top support via netcast .977 Alternative, where it was aired 37 times over the week. Another netcaster, Live365 affiliate The Fox, finished just behind, with 35 plays, while satcast provider SiriusXM allotted 34 slots.

That is indeed a huge gap. Hey when do you think All of Me will rise above Dark Horse to get into the top 2? Do you think it can do it by the 3/29/2014 chart?

Dark Horse will stay @ no.2 for about 5 to 6 weeks....... it still has a huge lead on streaming and radio over all of me, even Talk Dirty will be hard to beat @ no.3 spot due to streaming....... it may rise to no.3 after this week then, stay there for at least 2-3 weeks before hitting no.2 or the best scenario is at no.1 (i think it has a chance to be the next no.1 after happy)...Happy might stay @ no.1 for at least 6 weeks

If we go back two summers ago,"Call Me Maybe" was out at this time two years ago. So any song could end up being the "Song Of The Summer".
