If you don't like it, go somewhere else pls. Thanks, bye. I just want to reiterate something that has been stated numerous times before: this is not a fan forum. There are going to be people who disagree and that's quite alright. There's absolutely no need to tell them to leave, because they're more than welcome right here. Dissenting opinions often allow for the most interesting discussions, because they demand sharper thinking from all involved in the conversation. That said, I do agree that it's also rather foolish to dismiss something this early.

If there really is a part II, I hope there's more variety on this one. If it's just more noisy electronic beats on top of more nonsensical lyrics, she can keep it.

Well, Gaga said she wasn't happy with the content, that it was rushed and the idea was wrong and then the overall agreement is that it was too controversial even for Gaga. So if she's going for controversy anyway, she could've just started it with DWUW. Anyway. Let's see what happens next week.

Considering how amateurish and tasteless she has become and how low her standards have become (performance wise, music wise, outfits/looks, artwork, everything basically), I agree. It's probably gonna be more loud obnoxious basic 'edm' beats, terrible offputting vocals and cringy lyrics

Is this a completely new album or a re-release with a few extra songs?
Also, what's going to happen to the G.U.Y. video from Hearst castle?

Apparently the video is supposed to be in the spirit of the performance last night and Swine. I'm scared It might be effective though. It's like a car crash. Everyone is going to want to go take a look. That video is going to get huge VEVO numbers. If the song is good, the video might make it a hit.

I'll check this out and reserve my judgements until we hear material, but my hopes are really low.
ARTPOP was extremely disappointing overall, not only for much weaker songwriting than before, but the terrible way it was produced and mastered. It ruined some tracks that had genuine potential.

It's just funny how some people judge something early and give no reason to their statement. Why did he post then?

Why did he post then? I appreciate the polite response. I cannot speculate as to why they would post, as different people simply operate differently. However asinine it may seem to us, to dismiss something so incredibly early on, they have that opportunity and can do as they please. Also, I want to make clear that, although my post was directed toward you in this situation, you are certainly not the only one guilty of this. I'm sure I've done something similar before, honestly. I just thought it'd be worthwhile to post a reminder for everyone. On that note, let's continue discussing the new music and new music video.

Metaphor about how her label is pushing her to make money, to be a good pop star, but she can't take it and dies, then like a phoenix she rebirths herself as ARTPOP Part 2? Sounds fun.

I dont think were getting part two anytime soon. During her speech she talks about its existence but doesnt mention releasing it or any plans to release it...

Which is what I find odd about this sudden talk that a new album is coming. She's talked about a part two before, even before artpop was even released so we've always speculated about it. As far as timing is concerned, it would almost have to drop before her tour but if that's the case, it would have to have a release date pretty soon - unless that's what this video will do. Otherwise, it'll have to wait until the fall.

She can very well do some online thing while on tour and have journalists flown in to wherever she is for press and television. There aren't really any big award shows in the summer too, so there's not much opportunity for something like that. If we're talking about a full-on blitz like the BTW rollout then yes, I agree, but she doesn't really seem interested in doing that right now as far as I can see.

I think the interest is still there plenty, but she's avoiding a major rollout to save face. She's having a difficult time putting out material that connects with consumers; the more failed attempts, the more she needs that one undeniable smash to appear back on the map. Is she capable of finding it? I'd have my doubts if I were her or her label. It would take that unndeniable song, not press campaign oblivion, to set the era off right. Now imagine she comes back with another lukewarm dud but promotes the hell out of it, would that not be more embarrassing than approaching with calculated caution?

My friend told me she got puked on twice. Okay LOL! She said at the end of the day that it felt like a cathartic moment for her. SXSW isn't just for the typical hipster. It's for literally everybody of every genre. From film, to electronics, to music. It's a huge social gathering with many surprises and secrets untold. I saw Janelle Monae get wheelchaired down to her show on 4th St. Unlike other festivals that are relegated to one area the whole city becomes the festival arena. Everybody should experience it at least once in their life. SXSW is a shitshow. I have been to every major fest minus Bonnaroo and the fact that the shows were scattered all around downtown Austin, with secret shows that only people "in the know" were able to find out about and attend, made it a huge turn-off. Not to mention the fact that unless you were willing to shell out the money for a badge, you weren't even guaranteed entry into a show based on venue size. No matter how long you were waiting in line as a wristband holder (paying a couple hundred), someone could stroll in with a badge as the show was about to start, wave his badge, and walk right in. I prefer shows in a big open space, like ACL, Lolla, Coachella, and Governor's Ball. Whatever. I managed to have fun but, of all the festivals I have been to, I probably saw the least amount of bands because all of that running around in the mania just to be disappointed wasn't really worth it in the end. It's probably the only festival I wouldn't return to. Anyway, I am really excited for this new GaGa. I still love Artpop and her music, as a whole. The antics sometimes are a bit much but I am easily able to tune them out.

Plus, it might work in her favour to just release an album without doing the major promo. Not quite Beyonce-style but still do the advance single with videos and radio interviews in cities while on tour.

So I was sick all day yesterday & missed all the news. Can someone post the video of 'Swine' she performed at Jimmy Kimmel or that place in Austin? I've been hearing mixed reviews on it. Lol

Below is the video you requested. Admittedly I have not followed Lady Gaga much during this era most because of the (lack of) quality of her latest record, but her desperate for attention antics and attempts to separate herself from Pop music are cringe-worthy at best, IMO. In this video, apart from the vomit gag, the scissoring with the other girl on a mechanical bull, I think she screams, "F*ck you, Pop music !", which is just laughable and sad coming from one of the biggest pop stars of the decade who writes about her obsession with pop music and fame, since her pop fanbase has considerably shrunk and have turned its back on her. Perhaps she is currently riding the anti-pop bandwagon to try to gain some indie cred, since she isn't having the type of success she expects from the pop one....

The antics sometimes are a bit much but I am easily able to tune them out. It turned into a shitshow as the years have progressed. It literally gets bigger each year with more acts and what not. The amount of free shit I've gotten this year alone is a test to that. All expense paid trip to Montana by Malboro, free headphones, a Samsung and Sony tablet, free Subway for 3 months, etc. Plus this year I've seen about 30 acts in the past 3 days for free. FREE is the key term for this festival. If you know the city and a few key people it's gets easier.

Lay it on me Gaga. I'm totally ready. <3
Despite the negativity lately, she's still one of my favorites. Her talent is too often overlooked, though understandably at times.

Thanks for the video.
I do feel too many people are looking into this "crisis" she's currently in. Despite her debut & huge breakthrough, she has never been your conventional Pop artist. We don't know what's her beef w/Pop music & if she truly wants to regain that status she had back in '09/'10. As long as she continues to push out good music, performances, pushes the envelope & good messages, she will keep my interest on high.

I look at it like she had to do what she had to do and please the masses to break through, and now that she's in she basically wants to do what she wants to do. There's pros and cons, but as long as I love the music I'm completely content.
