7 Katy Perry songs have chart runs between 14 and 20 weeks (E.T. being the longest at 20 weeks)

As good as Katy's records have been it's kind of unfair to classify ET and Dark Horse as "her singles" in the top 10 because they gained rap airplay due to Kanye and Juicy J being in them which is why they stayed in the top 10 longer.
also kworb clearly states that songs marked in red are inaccurate, so it has lots of colour ;)

The only reason she's receiving longer chart runs with these two songs are because of the collaborations, I don't think she could achieve such success if they didn't crossover to other formats. I didn't mean to bash Katy in any way, it's just facts really. Although these do ring less time on AC charts, so I don't know if they have enough competition to cancel each other out. |
