I feel like George Strait and Hank Sr. could have their own thread about this, but let's just keep em all together
Jamey Johnson - Between Jennings and Jones (Waylon and The Possum) Love how he did it in this song, very cool. Greg Bates - Did it For The Girl (Strait) Dan + Shay - First Time Feeling (Strait) Aaron Lewis - Endless Summer (Jason Aldean) Jason Aldean - Johnny Cash (Obviously Cash and Elvis) Justin Moore/Rhett Akins - If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away (Hank Sr. and Janis) Alan Jackson - Midnight in Montgomery (Hank Sr.)
That'll get us started!

Don't "Truck Yeah" and "That's My Kind of Night" both name drop Country artists? Or are those just rap artists that they name drop? I (proudly) haven't listened to either one enough to know the lyrics.

I (proudly) haven't listened to either one enough to know the lyrics. "Truck Yeah" name drops Lil Wayne (why I have no idea), and "That's My Kind Of Night" name drops Conway Twitty and T-Pain. That's just knowledge I wish, I rather not have.

Brantley Gilbert - Country Must be Country Wide (Hank, Jones, Willie and Waylon) Minor correction: Hank, CASH, Willie, and Waylon How about "No Show Jones". Probably cheating, but the ultimate name dropping song mentions Waylon, Willie, Roger Miller, Dolly, Merle, Loretta, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, and of course Tammy Wynette and George Jones. "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" has got Waylon Jennings, Charley Pride and Merle Haggard "A Man Who's Gonna Die Young" by Eric Church mentions Hank Sr. "Tonight I'm Playin' Possum" by Randy Travis and Joe Nichols was an incredible tribute song for George Jones late last year. You guys got most of the ones I was thinking of.

Luke Bryan "Country Man" Hoobastank and Hank (Jr. or Sr.?)
Brad Paisley "This is Country Music" (Name dropping via snippets of songs, not exactly name dropping but close enough for me. :) )

Clint Black - Tuckered Out (Too many to name...) Let me name those by revealing the lyrics. Love that song! Tuckered Out (Clint Black/Hayden Nichols) I've seen more than a Little Texas, and a Playboy always knows A man does what he Wills as long as he stays on his toes He can Russell up a fortune, any man could strike it Rich But I'm doing good to keep it Strait and keep my wheels out of the ditch Ain't no Foster for the Desert Rose, the babblin' Brooks are Dunn That Crystal ball won't even book me one day in the Sun I'm Haggard, worn and Waylon from the bottom of my Restless Heart Don't know Wy the Black cloud's tailin' me, there seems to be no Parton from The dark And I've had it to the Gills of knowin' what the Nitty Gritty's all about Bein' McEntired and Loveless I can't Lovett if I'm all Tuckered out Well, I never meant to set out like a half-cocked Gatlin gun No highway Head Hunter's gonna let this Rabbitt run I ain't Raven 'bout The Ride, I probably got no fate to Seal If I can't roll through Alabama half Asleepin' At The Wheel All my Paycheckes are like dried up Wells and way too small to Cash Or I'd find a roadside motel, lay some money down to Crash I'm Haggard, worn and Waylon from the bottom of my Restless Heart Don't know Wy the Black cloud's tailin' me, there seems to be no Parton from The dark And I've had it to the Gills of knowin' what the Nitty Gritty's all about Bein' McEntired and Loveless I can't Lovett if I'm all Tuckered out
