Yeah this is available for purchase on the US iTunes now. Someone must have flipped the switch early. This always happens. Taylor's singles are always like an hour before on Itunes

I still think the whole Taylor/Katy thing is partly because of John Mayer and no amount of talking about stolen dancers or backhanded compliments will convince me otherwise. That was my theory as soon as it was revealed who it was about. Seriously Taylor writing about snarky comments/dancers OR about an ex.... Hmm, I wonder? LOL Let's be real... it's Taylor Swift. The drama between the two of them is because of John Mayer.

Very solid album (though not completely flawless) after first listen.
My favorites are Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style, Out Of The Woods, Bad Blood, and I Know Places.

All 13 of the album's tracks are currently in the top 200 with "Blank Space" the highest of the new tracks at #102.
ETA: "Style" is at #88

All 13 of the album's tracks are currently in the top 200 with "Blank Space" the highest of the new tracks at #102. Style is actually up to #88. But it's not snarky though. There's nothing particularly biting or specific about the lyrics - it just doesn't come across like a big deal--and certainly doesn't live up to the "diss track" billing (remember how she dressed down Camilla Belle?). So while I'd normally be inclined to agree with you, based on how broad and limp the song is, I'd say it could just be about dancers. -- I, of course, hate that I made my first post about the album about Bad Blood, because it's by far the worst track on the album (and perhaps the worst she's ever made - except for that one awful bonus track from "Red"). The rest of the album is really good - with Style, This Love and Out of the Woods being the clear standouts.

Welcome to New York is the weakest song on the cd to me. Cannot understand why it was chosen to represent the album beforehand as a promo track or why they may be considering it for a single. Maybe it just hasn't clicked yet?

Loving 'How You Get The Girl' and 'This Love', but otherwise, I'm a little disappointed. All the other songs sound pretty much alike to me. None of them are bad by any means, but the first 9 tracks feel like one long, never ending song to me. Maybe it'll take a few more listens. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Maybe it just hasn't clicked yet? Yeah easily the weakest. No other song comes close to being as bad. If OOTW, Blank Space or Style are the next single I'll be happy.

I feel bad for anyone else releasing an album this week. What other labels thought it would be a good idea to release the same week as Taylor Swift? I don't think the increased foot traffic even helps, the only albums people end up buying during her release weeks are hers.
Edit: Oh wait, is Lil Wayne still releasing this week? That's some healthy competition.
Just read through the digital booklet, Taylor co-produced every non-Max song.

I know it's been only two days, but "This Love" is approaching levels of "All Too Well" for me. So underrated here. And I LOVE "Clean". I can't believe the poor reception those two are getting here. I don't think they're getting a poor reception, it's just that they're a lot less immediate than the rest of the album. They are both two of my favorites (I don't know yet, but they both might make my top 5). Clean in particular, as stupid as it sounds it's like I can feel water washing over me when the chorus runs through. So gorgeous. Style is too good to be true. It can't be real.

"Blank Space" sounds just like "C'mon Let Me Ride" by Skylar Grey. I wish that song would have become a huge hit. It was one of my favorites of the year!

I absolutely adored Out of the Woods as well. Fantastic. That production. People were harping on the repetition of the chorus but when I heard the song, I thought it worked great, and also because I had just heard other songs where she doesn't quite repeat as much so I didn't mind it. But it's just such an 80s blast. Excellent, excellent job.
All You Had To Do Was Stay, I dunno. It's alright. Kind of a 6/10 thing. I'm surprised some people liked it so much.
Quite a "problem" to have: the 2-3-4 punch of Blank Space, Style, and Out of the Woods are SO good that All You Had To Do Was Stay just seems kind of more generic and basic in comparison. It's still cute though.
Shake It Off is still a perfect first single, total jam, etc. tc.
God damn, Style. Wow. And I knew about its hype coming into it. Phenomenal. It's rare to find such a song that grabs you from the opening bars before the lyrics even kick in, but it does. Perfect.

Style is pure melodic/production/lyrical genius. The whole song's a hook. So proud of Taylor and her team.

I Wish You Would - THERE WE GO! A return to form after the disappointing All You Had to Do Was Stay. Quite a nice album track.
Bad Blood -
I agree with whoever said that knowing it's about Katy Perry kind of takes away from it. It's been described as like "it got a heavy declawing".
The strange thing is that "Style" totally makes it more enjoyable to know it's about Harry Styles (for me, for whatever reason).
Bad Blood is great on paper, and it's definitely a really enjoyable bop, but I think when people feel disappointed by the song, I feel like that for all the production and the (EXCELLENT) vocals, you kind of know she didn't really really go there, which, if she wasn't going to, just kind of makes you wish you hadn't heard anything at all.
In short, Bad Blood is a song where the mystery is needed. The song is restrained, so it needs to feel like an enigma. If we kind of know what it's about, it just feels all a bit hollow.
It's still really enjoyable. I don't think it should be a single just because I don't think it would serve Taylor's image and there's so many stronger tracks on the album. Still a solid 8/10 for me.
