Can I just say how much I'm loving the cohesiveness of this album? IMO it is by far Taylor's most cohesive record to date, from the sound/production to the overall theme. It all fits together so perfectly.
I love that Taylor is truly an artist. As much of a hitmaker as she is, she's still totally an album girl. There are many artists who have some great radio singles on their albums and the rest is filler, but Taylor really takes the time and effort to make the entire album well-rounded. She's going to have a hard time picking singles this era, because aside from a couple of songs almost the entire album could be #1 smashes.
I'm really hoping Target isn't sold out of the deluxe edition by tomorrow, because I won't have time to get to the store today. But considering how poorly the Target Canada stores tend to be stocked, I'm a bit worried.

Other than the leak, how are people hearing the deluxe tracks? Are they available in USA yet? The deluxe tracks are available on the Target edition of the album.

Anyone know when this will be on Spotify UK? I have a feeling it won't be. I have Spotify here in the U.S. and last time around her Red album was not available to stream. Now Red is on there but the new album is not.

Now Red is on there but the new album is not. They held off on putting Red on Spotify for a while. I imagine they will do the same for this album. Her label is all about maximizing sales. I wouldn't expect it to be on Spotify until sometime in 2015.

Blank Space.................. are you f**king kidding me?
One of her best songs ever.
ETA: when released, this will be her biggest hit yet. It's flawless.

Damn, I bought "1989" and then bought "Red" right after... I guess it's T. Swift week for me. Totally unexpected.

Disappointed with "Bad Blood", I find it cheesy as hell. Not what I expected.

Confused - why are people acting shocked or even pleasantly surprised that the reviews are good? When has she ever received bad reviews?

I feel bad for anyone else releasing an album this week. What other labels thought it would be a good idea to release the same week as Taylor Swift? I don't think the increased foot traffic even helps, the only albums people end up buying during her release weeks are hers. Edit: Oh wait, is Lil Wayne still releasing this week? That's some healthy competition. Just read through the digital booklet, Taylor co-produced every non-Max song. There is Leighton Meester EP and new Imagine Dragons single. But I expect they will do nothing againest Taylor :) It is just a bad day for all the other pop stars because this is one of the best pop albums released in years. The only song that feels out of place on the album is "Shake It Off",still a jam, just feels like it doesn't fit with all the other songs.

The only song that feels out of place on the album is "Shake It Off",still a jam, just feels like it doesn't fit with all the other songs. A key new release is Sam Hunt's "Montevallo." He's developed quite the fanbase over the past year, but he obviously seems more like a mid-five figure seller (at best) than anything within the realm of Swift. But he's a pop-country artist, so I think it's actually pretty clever to go against Swift. Country will need to talk about *something* this week. I thought that at first. After all, there's a clear "John Mayer guitar" in "Dear John," so we know she'll do this type of thing, but I don't think it stylistically resembles Katy Perry enough for the joke to work. The somewhat apathetic, throaty vocals on the verses? Sure. But the lyrics and chorus don't come across as much Katy Perry as they do "not good." Also - it's still a song that she's selling (and one that I imagine she hoped would be a big seller, since she so aggressively hyped it) - so I still think she was trying to put together something good

Funny you mention that, cause I was also thinking that too. lol Not only that but there are certain parts where she sounds almost identical to Katy Perry. And I'm not sure if that was done on purpose.

The 1-2 punch of Blank Space and Style is the best 8 minutes of Swift music ever assembled.

I heard Bad Blood on the radio this morning (102.7 is playing her whole album throughout the day and then playing her Spoitfy Session tonight at 6 something, I'll be listening)! Anyways, the song was a jam, even if the lyrics are a bit disappointing, it does it's job, and I like it!!! <3

Welcome to New York - 8/10 - Weak opening track for such a great album. Blank Space - 9/10 - Yeah! Taylor at her best Style - 10/10 - Single material here. Amazing track. Out Of the Woods - 10/10 - This masterpiece needs to be released as single asap. All You Had To Do Was Stay - 9/10 - Give me that 80's realness. I really liked the chorus. Shake It Off - 10/10 - Amazing. It does the job of introducing her new style. I Wish You Would - 8/10 - I really liked the instrumental. Bad Blood - 10/10 - That CHORUS!!!! I'd never imagined Taylor singing a song like this. I liked it. Miles better than Better than Revenge. Her best shady song yet. Wildest Dreams - 9/10 - Not her giving me Lana teas ![](http://i.imgur.com/2smy76v.gif) the way she sings. Loved it How You Get the Girl - 7,5/10 - Not feeling it but it has a great production. This Love - 10/10 - This is the Taylor that i love. Reminds me of the Last Kiss, the very-slow tempo. It won't be a single but it's one of my favs from the album. I Know Places - 9/10 - Love it. The ending is pure perfection. Clean - 7/10 - It's ok. Wonderland - 8/10- It's a cute track. Should be on the standard version. You Are In Love -8/10 - It's a cute track [2] New Romantics - 9/10 - The best bonus track. This album was clearly all about the production and hooks. She has amazing hooks on every track. It's a very solid album. #1 Speak Now #2 1989 #3 Fearless / Fearless Platinum #4 RED #5 Taylor Swift

"Welcome to New York" isn't bad, but it's not good either. So blah. "Blank Space" is so Gwen Stefani. I love it! "Style" (Lorde's favorite, btw) is really good. The production is crazy slick. "Out of the Woods" is growing on me, but I'm still not thrilled by it. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) "All You Had to Do Was Stay" is okay. The verses are stronger than the chorus. "I Wish You Would" is AMAZING! SMASH! :o "Bad Blood" is heavily influenced by Lorde, I can tell. Very much into this. It also has an Avril Lavigne-tinge to it. "Wildest Dreams" has that incredible production I've learned that at least one Swift song from every album will have. Gorgeous and spine chilling. "How You Get the Girl" sounds like it comes from Kiss (Carly Rae Jepsen). Really nice. "This Love" is awesome. I love the 80s ballad feel. "I Know Places" is okay. "Clean"'s production is fantastic. I really like this one. Immediate standouts: Blank Space, Style, I Wish You Would, Bad Blood, and Wildest Dreams (possibly my favorite upon first listen?) Solid album, but I'm still not sold on her new sound. That Taylor Swift charm isn't as strong and prevalent as it was in her past albums, most notably the flawless Speak Now. I like her pop sound, but at the same time, so many other artists are tackling these sounds and Taylor had a unique pop/country/AC blend all her own, and I'm really missing that from this album. So, I'm torn. I'm disappointed in the album for that reason, but she did give us killer pop songs.

I disagree, "Better Than Revenge" is the better diss song (or song in general), it's so addicting!!! But both are great tracks!!!

I like her pop sound, but at the same time, so many other artists are tackling these sounds We have to agree to disagree. I hear no other artists creating mainstream music that sounds like this.

I didn't listen to any leaks, so I'm just hearing the album for the first time today. I haven't yet found a word that accurately captures my emotions. I need a minute.

I hear no other artists creating mainstream music that sounds like this. Carly Rae Jepsen's album Kiss is the most recent album that sounds like this imo.

Looks like Blank Space is the next single. Both z100 and KIIS FM started playing it today.
