It's gonna be the summer of Iggy Azalea. #JusticeforWork is moving right along right now.

So what other artists are dropping songs soon that will possibly be songs of the summer? What songs does everybody think will be song of the summer now? Problem or Fancy But mostly "Fancy"

^ I managed to edit in my mistakes but I guess you'd already quoted it by then haha Boom Boom Pow had much larger weeks digitally though did it not? I recall it selling much more than Poker Face did in the 2009 year. Since Poker face was released in September of the previous year it's only real digital spikes would have come from the holiday season then it would of lost points rather quickly. Happy passed 4 million sales in 2014 before Dark Horse did so, even though that may not account for the last month-ish of 2013 during which DH got much more sales than Happy obviously, but I'm pretty sure Happy is still ahead of DH in sales for the 2014 sales tracking period. And as of this week it's selling more than double what DH is selling per week so it's only getting further ahead. DH might end up higher year-end in radio and streaming, so I guess it boils down to how much more Happy will sell than Dark Horse when it comes to year-end Hot 100. And Poker Face debuted on the Hot 100 in January 2009 (even though that was when it peaked in Canada, and it was released in Canada in September 2008...weird how Just Dance and Poker Face peaked in Canada at around the time they had just debuted on the Hot 100).

Katy Perry is not the radio darling she used to be. That's a pretty weird statement coming from you. Roar broke spins records on mediabase and Nielsen for Pop and Hot AC. Didn't Dark Horse break it again on mediabase? If it did not, it came super close. Those are two massive accomplishments for someone who is apparently "losing steam."

He may be saying that due to the "hiccup" that was Unconditionally. I have yet to see the video because that is how much I detest that song. I believe DH was already a million or gold at the most seller before it was announced as an official single.

Lady Gaga's chart runs in Canada are quite different than the US, example, Born This Way actually had longevity, Poker Face was a monster, Bad Romance had 16 weeks in the top 3 (in addition to actually hitting #1 for 5 weeks), Just Dance had 32 weeks in the top 15 alone, even Lovegame had 19 weeks in the top 10! Applause was an exception though, had a more decent chart run in the US than Canada, same with You & I.

What do people think the odds are for Tennis Court? I'm kinda doubting it will have the success of Team.

I think that it's taking its time, don't worry about it! This song sounds like a hit even more than Team and Royals did! I think it just needs some time to catch on, but I'm not going to doubt Lorde having success with this.

2. PHARRELL WILLIAMS – Happy: 192.732 (- 4.056) 3. KATY PERRY – Dark Horse: 176.546 (- 2.267) I really hope these two negative updates will more or less equalize soon enough...I really don't want Dark Horse to outlast Happy. Happy got all these big negative updates because it peaked on every format at the same time so now it's falling on all of them at the same time, so its negative updates should soon slow to a trickle, no?

KATY PERRY – Birthday: 59.306 (+2.287)
I'm legitimately surprised to see this getting +2M updates again, especially after the callout scores for Birthday came in.

But really mostly "Wiggle" Oh I didn't realize we were talking about the "Flash in the Pan of the Summer" The flash in the pan of the summer would be Calvin Harris's current single. Fancy, Problem and Wiggle will all have longevity and be remembered in the future imo.
