3 8 8 9 Summer, Calvin Harris 3 Chyeah Calvin! Also 6 more weeks for Wake Me Up to hit a year on the chart, anyone think it would drop 14+ spots in that time? Also thank god royals and say something are gone, two of the most boring songs I've heard since the 2011 chart

Beyond thrilled about the "I Choose You" debut.. Much higher than I expected!
Can't believe it took until now for "She Looks So Perfect" to reach the top 40.. They have a sort of 'misleading' success, don't they?
Sam Smith simultaneously climbing with his first three chart entries. We'll probably see all three in the top 40 simultaneously. Talk about a breakthrough :o

Oh yeahI didn't realize SS is out too! I'm glad, tired of that song (didn't last long for me). I liked Royals for some time, but at this point it's grown old even for me.

Country digital single sales this week: www.roughstock.com/blog/country-chart-news-the-top-30-digital-singles-for-may-14-2014Country Chart News: The Top 30 Digital Singles For May 14, 2014 By: Matt Bjorke Luke Bryan Holds Onto #1 and #2 (the latter a track with Florida Georgia Line) and Brantley Gilbert holds the #4, #5 & #12 slots. This week, the Top 10 is dominated by Luke Bryan and Brantley Gilbert. Luke holds the #1 and #2 sales positions with his “Play It Again” and his featuring spot on Florida Georgia Line’s “This Is How We Roll” single. Both are Platinum-eligible singles while Blake Shelton’s “My Eyes” rockets to #3 this week and scores the “Riser of the Week” distinction with a 150% sales increase, likely due to his peroformance of the song featuring Gwen Sebastian on last week’s “The Voice.” Shelton is joined by Brantley Gilbert in rounding out the Top 5 with “17 Again” -- a preview track from the upcoming “Just As I Am” album and “Bottoms Up,” the lead single from the album. “Bottoms Up” is Platinum-eligible. Top 10 Holds Jake Owen, Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, Eric Church and Keith Urban. Jake Owen’s “Beachin” may have temporarily slid outside the Top 5 but it’s only about three weeks away from scanning Gold, becoming the first single from his “Days Of Gold” album to do so. Lee Brice has sold nearly 300k copies of “I Don’t Dance,” the lead single from his upcoming third album for Curb Records. Keith Urban’s latest big hit “Cop Car” has sold nearly 650k tracks to land at #8 while Eric Church’s “Give Me Back My Hometown” sits at #9 this week and has also sold nearly 650k to date, the same which can be said about Thomas Rhett’s “Get Me Some of That,” the second consecutive Airplay #1 for the rising star signed to The Valory Music Co. Notable Tracks include Chris Young’s “Who I AM With You,” Joe Nichols “Yeah,” Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic” and Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk On A Plane.” Miranda Lambert sits at #11 with “Automatic,” her latest hit which has sold over 360k to date. It’s the lead single from her upcoming album “Platinum,” due June 3. Brantley Gilbert’s “My Baby’s Guns N’ Roses” is at #12 (76k sold in two weeks). At #13 is Rascal Flatts’ “Rewind,” the title track to their new album which is now Gold-certification eligible after it scanned over 500k (504 RTD) this week! Chris Young’s “Who I Am With You” is another notable this week with sales now over 200k for the hit ballad. Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk On A Plane” is fast rising and once again we have two new songs from The Voice contestants making a dent. Also, Nashville (the TV Show)’s music continues to resonate and that has a couple tracks ALSO taking root inside the Top 30. Outside The Top 30 Notes: Craig Campbell “Keep Them Kisses Comin’” at #34 with 117k RTD. Craig Morgan “Wake Up Lovin’ You” at #36 with 230k RTD. Songs falling out of the Top 30 This Week: Hunter Hayes - “Invisible” (Chart error due to Presale numbers) Blake Shelton “Doin’ What She Likes” (533k RTD) Luke Bryan “That’s My Kinda Night” (1.92 million RTD) Jamie Lynn Spears - “How Could I Want More” (115k RTD) Kristen Merlin “Let Her Go” (over 17k RTD) Audra McLaughlin “You Lie” (over 15k RTD)

I saw it climbing on the bubbling under, and when I saw that she dropped the music video last week I hoped it would finally debut. But #81 is awesome!!! :) I have yet to listen to any Sam Smith other than La La La but its looking like I will have to!

^ yes, On-Demand is a part of Streaming. On-Demand is to Streaming as apple is to fruit. Ok, thanks. Why do they seem to make a point to mention the On-Demand ranking each week? They don't seem to single out component airplay rankings for the top songs, which would be a parallel, no?

Because they cover component airplay rankings (i.e. Pop, Rhythmic, etc.) in the Chart Highlights articles every Monday I guess

Miranda Lambert sits at #11 with “Automatic,” her latest hit which has sold over 360k to date. It’s the lead single from her upcoming album “Platinum,” due June 3 I like Miranda, but I consider this total pretty terrible since it's her lead single. Of course, I think she only has 1 double platinum seller? I don't know why her label keeps pumping money into getting her awards to help her sell when label mate Carrie Underwood is a more reliable seller and could be taken to even bigger heights if she were winning some of these awards. It will be interesting to see how their upcoming duet sells. I hope it will be available at iTunes after their performance on Sunday.

It's impressive that "Work" by Iggy Azalea held on this week - actually moving up two spots to #86!

Miranda has two double platnium sellers and I'm sure he has a few other million sellers

Her biggest sellers: "Gunpowder and Lead" - 1.6 million "The House That Built Me" - 2 million "Over You" - 1.5 million "Mama's Broken Heart" - 1.6 million Then she has two 1 million sellers with the Pistol Annies: "Hell on Heels" - 1 million "Boys 'Round Here" w/ Blake Shelton - 2.1 million It's not Miranda's fault that she has not crossed over to Pop the same way as Taylor and Carrie. That's probably why she wins more Country awards, more "street cred."

Does she sing solo on that song at all? Anyway, it's pretty known in the industry that Miranda's label pushes for her to win all of these awards. I am sure you all are aware of the controversy with the label politics and voting bloc that has aided her - and Blake.

I thought pretty much every label pushes their artists to win all of the awards. Some just have more pull/money to do so or want it more. Like, Taylor probably doesn't give a shit if she loses a country award anymore.
