She told some fans during her radio tour that the album should be released in august~!!! But as above said nothing has been officially announced so things could definitely change!!! ( like if love epic fails - which i dont think it will!) haha and i also have been listening to all her new material on youtube! I LOVE "I GOT THE BOY"!! Back to LOVE! does any one know how many adds this has gotten {if any so far} and where i could check those numbers! She may have said that during her radio tour but I fear you might be getting your hopes up here--August seems way too early to me. Typically artists will release an album 3-4 months after the lead single hits radio, but that timeline really only holds up if the single is a big hit (so the timeline of 3 months is usually reserved for the big stars). I can't see "Love" climbing super fast, and therefore I can't see Jana's sophomore album coming out any earlier than October or November.

We also shouldn't get hopes up for this single being successful. I could easily see this not performing as well as let's say "Why Ya Wanna" and having a similar peak to "Whiskey", but I could also see Jana getting back to the top 10 for the second time. Jana's been away from radio for about a year and hasn't had a big hit like "Why Ya Wanna" in nearly two years. I'm sure Warner took their time for a reason and they wouldn't have waited this long (a strategy I agree with usually) if they weren't confident in "Love" being successful, but like Jamie said, this will most likely be a slow climb if it does indeed become a hit.
Personally I'm alone in not enjoying Jana's vocals, which is the biggest reason why I couldn't stand "Why Ya Wanna" or "I Hope It Rains". This however I was pleasantly surprised by. Not the most original subject I've ever heard but the grating of her voice on me is toned down on this song. Again, still not a fan, but this is much more tolerable for me than her first single.

I LOVE 'Love'! It deserves to be a hit! I was honestly surprised when I Hope It Rains flopped. So this one better not go down like IHIR did.

I could honestly see this being huge! It's super catchy, and better than almost anything that country radio is playing right now. Watch this end up being a crossover smash as well!

(in my opinion)! she has a big label and if they work this song up the chart like they've marketed it (jana kramer adds everywhere) then it will be a hit!

I don't know if this will "fail," but I'm more inclined to side with mus1cr0w on this. -Jana has had one successful single two years ago, and the others have failed to become big hits for her. If she's failed to gain chart traction with three other singles, chances are radio won't give her much of a chance by the third shot, and therefore most of the listening public won't even know she has anything new out, let alone know who she is. -While "Love" sounds pretty mainstream, her twang is quite heavy; that could be polarizing to a lot of people. While vocal tone may not seem like much of a barrier, that kind of tone is a turnoff to a lot of people, and thus it could make Jana's music pretty polarizing to the buying public. -There are three superstar women on radio right now; her odds of making it on radio are tough enough for women as it is. When you consider Jana had one successful single two years ago and her follow-ups failed to create traction, I would say her odds of radio giving her a chance and/or another hit are slim. -"Love" is nice, but it certainly isn't something that stands out. Jana is unlikely to get a hit as long as Luke and FGL are ruling the roost. I could be completely wrong, but it looks to me like the odds are stacked against Jana to have a ht with this one.

Totally get everything you said and do understand the traction that could potentially kill her career! I think a lot of new artists are in the position you just described! Like gloriana ,dustin lynch, kacey musgraves all have had a hit and more than one misses but that doesnt mean its over for them. Jana with this song has the potential to break out she has the material right here to get past the barrier! they just have to release the right song! Also it is true with 2nd and 3rd singles artists tend to lose traction especially new artists! That is what happened here jana released her 2nd and 3rd singles and she lost traction ---- Dustin lynch had that problem along with gloriana along with kacey! Jana has the label that can put this song at the top of the chart we just have to let the song and the label do it. I still believe in jana's stay so i think radio will too! no pun intended! :) though you guys maybe right in the long run! who knows... Im gonna remain optimistic. I STILL BELIEVE!

The three singles from Jana Kramer's debut have had an almost identical trajectory to the first three from Kacey's, so I don't quite understand the pessimistic views about this one's chances. Yes, she's a female and new, so there's no doubt this will have a tough road ahead of it to climb up the ranks, but I certainly wouldn't be so quick to write this one off. Without the massive acclaim and all the appearances/album sales that stemmed from that on Kacey's front, Jana still managed to perform on par with her at radio. I'm going to predict that she'll return to at least the Top 20 with this single, because it's radio friendly and it has a hype working for it being something brand new and from an artist who I believe made a solid impression on the industry with her debut even if her singles didn't do that well.

I absolutely love the way she enunciates. I don't find it twangy at all. It's different, but I sort of love it. I dig this song.

Most acts that aren't superstars usually don't get many before the official impact date though so I wouldn't worry.

I agree with everything you are saying, especially the part about the vocals. She has a decent voice but I think she ruins it with the twang, which comes off as extremely fake to me. She doesn't have one when she speaks and I believe she is from Michigan so it doesn't really make sense to me. Either way, I DID like Why You Wanna, so I'm hoping Jana can have another run at the charts. I root for the females!

Jana Looks insanely beautiful in the video! Last few times I have seen her she has had a TON of makeup on. She looks much better without it! That being said, I find this video odd.

The video is stunning. She looks absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and I'm always a fan of shooting videos in exotic places with a beautiful backdrop (I'm assuming it was done somewhere in the central America/Caribbean). It's been done to great effect imo by such stars as Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Deana Carter, Kellie Pickler, and I'm sure there are others.
I must say I love the strong start this seems to be receiving. I hope that continues, though even before its release I was optimistic that Jana would bounce back in a big way, so I'm liking the early indicators that this should out-perform recent singles by many of her female peers.

That is a very well put together video, should do well on video countdowns in the coming future. I'm really falling in love with this song, so pun intended. I think Jana has a small chance to be the next female to breakout. She seems to have the whole package, and surely it's time for a new crop of females to emerge.

I absolutely love the way she enunciates. I don't find it twangy at all. It's different, but I sort of love it. I dig this song. I mean, it clearly is -- "Maybe a little bit of LAHHHTNIN!!!!'" "Weddin' Rings and BAAHHHBLES" This is a very good song--the bridge gets me every time--but I just wish she would re-record it without the ridiculous delivery of certain words. The stretching out of syllables in words like "Buhh--LLLLLL--ieve" and "THHHAAAARRRRRROOOOOOGH" is so jarring. It's thicker than Justin Moore's accent on "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away," and she's from Detroit. That all said, what really works for me about this song is that it's not the nine millionth example of a country female attempting to be "tough." We have too many songs from non-superstar female country singers about revenge or being bad at this point, and none of them are any good (Famous, Bad Girl Phase, etc).

Hahaha I guess you do make a good point. Dying at the fact that she's from Detroit. I didn't know that.

She definitely delivers her songs with twang, but I love the way it sounds. I'm not hearing how it's overbearing at all though, on lines like "Wedding rings and Bibles" she definitely doesn't sound like she's saying 'bahhbles' to my ears at all; that would sound downright strange.
And whether her twang is authentic or not isn't really that big of a deal to me, especially since, to me at least, it's pretty subtle for the most part and only adds to the feel of the song. She wouldn't be the first vocalist in history to affect the way they sing to get certain things out of that are desirable for the type of music they're recording. It's not as if she's laying down a vocal with the same level of twang as the likes of Jennifer Nettles, Ashton Shepherd, or Sunny Sweeney.

I barely hear any twang on her at all, so count me confused. If there's any twang then it must sound really natural to me cause I'm missing it entirely. P.S. kanimal your dislike of "Famous" & especially "Bad Girl Phase" hurts me lol I love both of those songs a lot. Oh well to each their own. :)
