10 years later, his lead single can't come close to the upper half of the Hot 100. Fad. As much as I hate Usher. He is not a fad by any stretch. He's had hits since 1998. Now he's flopping 19 years after his first top 40 hit. However, he'll probably get one more round of hits before he's done. Good Kisser is just boring. He should move on from it....and act like it never happened. Usher also doesnt have the advantage of pop kissing his ass and playing his R&B tracks but that's for another thread.

Ariana Grande posted on various social media that Problem video is set to come out this week...this means that 6/21/2014 is her golden opportunity to get a week at #1 on the Hot 100 and based on pretty good streaming success of The Way I feel like it just might happen...like The Great Marshall Mathers once said, "you only get one shot; do not miss your chance..."

"Fancy" still feels like it's kind of an "up-and-coming" song and yet there it is, about to be #3 at radio tomorrow if it's lucky.

Radio needs to stop trying to make "Birthday" happen. Mediocre sales, poor streaming, no one likes the video, and poor callout scores, yet it's still getting some of the best updates.

It's not like Climax was one of his best sellers or came even close to the top 10 on the Hot 100 or anything so...

It's not like Climax was one of his best sellers or came even close to the top 10 on the Hot 100 or anything so... With the assistance of Pop that could have changed.

It's not like Climax was one of his best sellers or came even close to the top 10 on the Hot 100 or anything so... ... well name me one R&B song that DOES sell highly before Pop radio plays it? If Usher released "Suit & Tie" it would have flopped. If Justin released "Good Kisser" as a lead single it'd be top 10 at Pop by now. It's odd that Usher has paid more industry dues & accomplished every bit as much, but only JT gets to fuck pop PD's like a binder full of submissive bottoms.

www.billboard.com/articles/news/6099382/coldplay-ghost-stories-billboard-200-albums-chart-brantley-gilbert-no-1Over on the Digital Songs chart, Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, takes over the No. 1 slot, rising one rung with 336,000 downloads sold (up 44 percent). She bumps Ariana Grande's "Problem," which features Azalea, down to No. 2 with 284,000 (up 15 percent). "Fancy" had been locked in the No. 2 slot for the past three weeks. Its cumulative sales also jump past the million mark, totaling 1.3 million. "Fancy" and "Problem" were both performed on the Billboard Music Awards (May 18) the day before the latest sales tracking week began on May 19. Nico & Vinz's debut single "Am I Wrong" shoots up the Digital Songs tally, rising 6-3 with 156,000 (up 36 percent). It concurrently climbs 18-15 on the Pop Songs airplay chart dated June 7. John Legend's "All Of Me" slips 3-4 with 147,000 (down 7 percent) and DJ Snake & Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What" is a non-mover at No. 5 with 137,000 (up 13 percent). Pharrell's "Happy" dips 4-6 with 134,000 (up 3 percent) and Jason Derulo's "Wiggle," featuring Snoop Dogg," steps 8-7 with 124,000 (up 14 percent). Derulo performed "Wiggle" in a medley (with his "Talk Dirty") on the Billboard Music Awards. Ed Sheeran's "Sing" rises 13-8 with 114,000 (up 52 percent) and MAGIC!'s "Rude" hits the top 10 for the first time, ascending 15-9 with 112,000 (up 51 percent). Closing out the top 10 is the chart's highest debut, Miranda Lambert's duet with Carrie Underwood, "Somethin' Bad." It launches at No. 10 with 107,000 -- the biggest sales week ever for Lambert. The pair premiered the song on the Billboard Music Awards. It previews Lambert's new studio album, "Platinum," which is due on June 3. Digital track sales this past week totaled 22.07 million downloads, up 5 percent compared with last week (20.94 million) and down 10 percent stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (24.49 million). Year to date track sales are at 487.54 million, down 12 percent compared to the same total at this point last year (555.67 million).

It's confirmed Iggy is #1 on the Hot 100? if so, that's awesome, "Fancy" is already one of my favorite songs of 2014 so far.
EDIT: Yasss! I think "Fancy" could pull a CMM or Royals and spent 9 weeks at #1, it's looking to be a HUGE hit.

I'm soooooo happy for Iggy, I've been a fan since Ignorant Art, never expected this success for Fancy... She really worked for it. Amazing! I wonder what's Nicki thinking about this LOL

And unless you're super liberal and count stuff like "Vogue," this is the first white female rap song ever right?

Ludacris was #1 for a week with Stand Up in 2003... but I don't know if Shawnna was credited for it, if not... Lil' Kim was the last rapper on the #1, and before her... there was Lauryn Hill with Doo Wop
