Fun game to play come around June. I am sure most of us will pick these below but that's because they set themselves apart from the pack. In no particular order. Jon pardi - write you a song. Eric church - the outsiders Miranda - platinum Dierks - riser Don Williams - reflections
Looking forward to jam packed second half of the year. With albums from brad, lee Brice, Tim, Kenny, lady A , Easton Corbin, lee ann , Jason aldean, Alan Jackson (maybe) ,

Probably Dierks overall for sheer number of great songs though Platinum feels more like an album. Irene Kelly had a great independent album, and Johnny Cash's was pretty fantastic.

Oh, I thought I forgot Deana Carter's album, but then I realized it came out on december. If not, that would be on my list too.
(Sorry for the double post. The edit thing is not working for me)

I am horrible at keeping up with new releases, so there are still a ton of big names I haven't heard yet. Right now, I'd go with:
1. Rhonda Vincent - Only Me 2. Rodney Crowell - Tarpaper Sky 3. Johnny Cash - Out Among the Stars 4. Nickel Creek - A Dotted Line 5. Jason Eady - Daylight & Dark 6. Eric Church - The Outsiders

1. Jennifer Nettles - That Girl 2. Miranda Lambert - Platinum 3. Martina McBride - Everlasting 4. Jo Dee Messina - Me 5. Sara Evans - Slow Me Down 6. Frankie Ballard - Sunshine & Whiskey 7. Dolly Parton - Blue Smoke 8. Hunter Hayes - Storyline
With more listens, I can see Miranda overtaking Jennifer. Those will probably be my top 2 though, unless something completely unexpected gets released.

In no particular order:
Dierks Bentley - Riser David Nail - I'm A Fire Miranda Lambert - Platinum Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds In Country Music
I haven't listen to these in full yet, but suspect they'd be on the list too:
Eric Church - The Outsiders Dolly Parton - Blue Smoke
And not exactly a country release but I've also really enjoyed Martina's Everlasting.

Seeing how most of big name albums have been released, i'll give my final rankings: 1. Riser - Dierks Bentley - Just a phenomenal bottom, there's not a bad song out of the bunch. So much emotional depth and range on this one. It really moved Dierks up my list of favorite artists. 2. Old Boots, New Dirt - Jason Aldean - I'm a huge Aldean fan, and while this was much of more of the same, that's a good thing in my books. The ballads on this one are phenomenal country songs. I hope others don't just judge it based off the singles. 3. Cole Swindell - Cole Swindell - A album full of country fodder, nothing but perfect songs to sing a long too while driving. Love it. 4. Where It All Began - Dan + Shay - This one really surprised me, but it's full of catchy Country Pop songs, and really sounds like a great soundtrack for the summer. 5. Just As I Am - Brantley Gilbert - Aside from Small Town Throwdown, this album is full of good rockers and lighters in the air kind of songs. Brantley really grew on me this album cycle, I was not a big fan before. Honorable mentions: The Outsiders - Eric Church, Anything Goes - Florida Georgia Line, Spring Break 6 - Luke Bryan, and Moonshine In The Trunk - Brad Paisley.
