I hope Morgan goes somewhere... Hopefully that somewhere is to a better label, or I don't see anything happening.

Nice to hear about everyone's great experiences! I'll add that Chris Young is a total sweetheart. Good hugger, called me "darlin'," and helped point me in the right direction when I got all turned around trying to find my way out of the reception area afterwards.

Living in Nashville , I've had several opportunities to meet country celebrities. Trent Tomlinson: I met Trent at Pawn shop. I wasn't gonna approach him til he caught me looking at him like 4 times & I felt like a weirdo. He was super cool and even gave me a copy of an upcoming album that never came out. He wouldn't even let me pay him. I really need to get to Nashville for these opportunities alone.

Nashville really is an absolutely incredible city in all rounds and aspects. I love that place so, so much. I really need to get to Nashville for these opportunities alone. I definitely agree. Nashville and Vegas are two places I want to visit someday (well, I went to Vegas when I was 11, but that doesn't really count). It's blazing hot right now, so I'd suggest coming here in the fall or winter. :) But yes, definitely visit. Such a great city with a lot more to it than one might think.

There too many that's I've met, mainly ones that were never realy big, or only big for a year or so. but the one I'll always remember was Billy Dean. First time was in November 2005. He and Rebecca Lynn Howard )who was very nice as well when I met her) were opening for Kenny Rogers for a "Christmas" show when Cypress Gardens opened back up (It's Legoland now but whatever lol). Anyways, met him before the concert while he was just walking around and got his picture, the him and Rebecca's pic and auto after concert. Talked for a bit. Very nice. Then a few years later at Cypress Gardens doing a show with Rockapella. Billy stayed around after the show talking to everyone, and he remember me and talked again for a bit.
Sidenote about that "Christmas" show. Kenny sang maybe 2 songs. And maybe only one ore two songs total show were Christmas (same as with Charlie Daniels a few years later). But Kenny to me seemed like he could care less if he was there. And Billy had everyone there that night crying singing 'Let Them Be Little". My mom was crying big that night.
Josh Gracin was very nice when I met him. Joe Nichols was cool too. Met him twice I believe.
Only one that's I've met that was just eh that I can remember was Buddy Jewel.

I met Chase Rice at the gym and completely turned into a gushing 13 y/o and it had NOTHING to do with his looks. I was just excited to meet one of the writer's of "Cruise". My husband said I probably sounded like the Minions from Despicable Me. He was extremely polite and even asked which version of the song I like best.
Disclaimer:) Yes, I like Cruise. No, I don't think it's COUNTRY at all.

Ty Herndon (4-5 times) The Kinleys (4-5 times....they started to know me by name after the 3rd time) Allison Moorer 3 times Lady Antebellum 2 times Sugarland (when they were a trio and I got my pic taken with Jennifer and her and Kristian signed Twice the Speed of Life) Sara Evans Regina ReginaShelly Fairchild Chris Cagle Mila Mason (the most BEAUTIFUL handwriting I've ever seen) Rissi Palmer Trisha Yearwood (interesting story that goes with that one) That's all I can think of for now....I'd have to dig around and find all of my signed CD's to find the ones that I'm missing. How were Regina Regina? Loved their album...was surprised the singles didn't catch on. Anyone know what they are up to today?

Those acoustic shows are some of my favorite concerts - not a bad seat in the house and the intimacy is fantastic. My favorite was when Keith Anderson came in 2008 with Chuck Wicks and Lila McCann. Keith stole the show as you would guess. Met Keith after the show and was easily one of the two or three nicest artists I've met thus far.

Sabre14-lockport and yeah my first one was Danny Gokey(i think he was the "headliner"?), Steel Magnolia, and The Band Perry which was really fun, kinda ironic since TBP was the least known act there at the time

I'm originally from Amherst. I worked (still am) the service industry, and I despised working Friday night's with those Friday night concerts in Lockport, along with the ridiculous amount of people coming back from the Drive-In. My co-workers used to say, there's only two things to do in Lockport on the weekend - Drive-In, and Drinking. ;) Still have many friends there though. Welcome to the Pulse. Glad to see we have now 4 country forum pulse members from the Buffalo area. :)

^^ Second that; and Josh Thompson. David Nail is known to be introverted and unable to really connect. Cool that meeting Emerson Drive and James Otto was a good experience.

Ok let's see then... I gave 6 artist my lowest score which I considered "bad" experiences.
Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves Davis Nail Emily West Jessie James Josh Thompson Travis Tritt
Going in order:
Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves: I met them this past summer at the CMA Fest. They had their own booth and nobody was really going up to meet them due to their small success so far I'd assume. Now most indie artist like them who aren't well known don't get a lot of people going to their booths so this isn't that uncommon. 99% of the time when you go meet one of these artists they're some of the most friendly artists (the cynic in me attributes some of the politeness as a tactic to get you to like them, but there's also a genuine excitement usually). Sometimes you can tell they're disappointed not a lot of people are coming meet them but again about 99% of the time it doesn't negatively affect their attitude.
With AM&TW though they were very uninterested in hiding the fact that they weren't getting a lot of attention. I watched while waiting in a different line before going to their booth and there was one person who went up to their booth. So I actually knew who they were and went to meet them. Angel kept giving me weird looks and kept looking at her phone when I was trying to talk with them. When I asked them to sign their cd she ignored me AND her bandmates AND her manager who tried telling her that a fan (me) wanted her autograph. I got one in the end but she came across as not wanting to be there. I think I got one word with her. Her two bandmates were both really friendly and answered my questions I had. Angel just left a bad impression unfortunately.
David Nail: As you'll find out as I tell these stories I met most of the artists at CMA Fest in Nashville. I met David on my second trip in 2012. He wasn't at a booth or doing a meet and greet but was doing a soundcheck inside the Hall Of Fame and the seating wasn't blocked off so my cousins and I went sit to watch the soundcheck. When he was done he was standing by the wall as his crew fixed things on stage. He was talking to Chris Sligh (American Idol contestant). There was no security or anything so we figured we'd take a chance and go see if he'd talk to us. He seen us as the only people to stop and listen to the soundcheck (it was open to anybody else who was there ~100 people), nobody else went sit to watch. I had the thought that maybe he'd at least stay to meet us but once we got withing 10ft. of him he turned around and walked away.... now I know technically it was his personal time and he wasn't working but I've met a few of the other artist on this list in similar situations and they're always happy to meet their fans. The next day in the fan hall we got the chance to meet him but he wouldn't let us take a picture or sign anything. He barely paid us any attention and I didn't bother trying to talk as he didn't seem to want to be there. These two experiences just didn't sit well with me.
Emily West: I met her on my first trip to CMA Fest in 2010. She was basically the female version of David Nail. She barely seemed to even be "there". It seemed like she was thinking about being anywhere but meeting fans and it was obvious to everybody in line with me. It was showing that she was sharing a booth with Julie Roberts and everybody had to wait to get their turn with Julie while everybody was done with Emily very quickly.
Jessie James: I met her on the red carpet of the CMT Awards which took place on my second trip in 2012. We were late to the show by a little bit and when we got to the red carpet most of the artists had already entered the building. There was a few artists who were still taking their time making their way down and meeting fans at the edge. At the back of the group of artists was Jessie and JT Hodges, but nobody on the side with us tried getting their attention. I don't think anybody knew who they were at the time.
My sister and I called out to JT and Jessie. JT who looked a bit shocked to hear his name and he came towards us with a big smile on his face. Jessie came a little closer but stopped a few feet away, and didn't come closer. We said hi to her and she just whispered something in JT's ear and he told us "we're expected inside in two minutes so we're sorry but we have to go". She never said anything to us and barely took the time to even look at us.
Josh Thompson: There's not much to say about him. We went to meet him, we tried talking to him and he barely registered any emotion on his face. It was very much like talking to a wall. I feel like I should just rank him a 1 but even #1's at least felt like I met somebody. A cardboard cut out of him would've been more interesting honestly.
Travis Tritt: A few years back Travis came to my hometown to play a show and my grandfather was a sponsor of the show. Travis said he didn't want to do a meet and greet at first so nobody got excited for that. Then he eventually agreed to meet the sponsors of the show and a bout 20 others. The 20 others were selected by raffle tickets which were sold to raise money for a local charity. On the night of the show Travis wanted to change his mind, but due to the contract he signed for the show he had to do it now. While I think I can almost give him some credit for his attitude cause he did say he didn't want to do it...he still could've been more courteous to the people who went to meet him.
When I was waiting my turn (not knowing the drama behind the scenes until later on btw) to meet him I watched as he met some of the elderly members of my community and he just rushed through their meetings. No pictures, no autographs, no shaking hands, no questions...we got to say hello, he kinda grunted and we moved on. I barely count it as meeting him honestly.
None of the meetings I described changed my opinion of their music but it was sad that I do love them so much and they didn't seem to appreciate meeting a fan.

^ Well that was very interesting Kanenrá:ke. I guess I'll elaborate more (I brought it up on the first page) on my experience with Keith Anderson when I saw him with Lila McCann and Chuck Wicks at UB (University At Buffalo) Center For The Arts in 2008: After the concert there were meet and greets with all three artists for whoever was willing to wait. I of course said yes, but my brother was with me and since he had work the next morning and he drove me (lol) he said just one line. So I had to pick one and I instantly went to the Keith line (which was the longest). The line took at least 40 minutes or so since he was having a discussion with everyone it seemed. When I finally got to meet him I vividly remember his arms and neck being gigantic and that he was definitely a former body builder and baseball player. He asked me how'd I like the concert and I said "great". Then he actually asked me where did I get my jacket (it was February, so I had it on). I said it was a Christmas gift form a couple years back that my Mom got me - a World War II bomber replica that I still own to this day. I thought it was gracious that even after meeting all the people in front of me, he would actually ask me a question first before I had a chance to. We then talked about NFL and College football before taking a quick picture and I told him I think your new single "I Still Miss You" would go Top 5 for him and he said "Thanks man, that would be a blessing". "I Still Miss You" had just been released. 6 months later it peaked at #2. :) I've only met a handful (Keith Anderson, James Wesley, LoCash Cowboys, Lady Antebellum).

Well I guess i'll describe my experiences with artists(for the record I've never been disappointed after meeting an artist) Chris Cagle: Met him after a Dierks Bentley show, he put on an energetic, entertaining show. I met him at his tour bus and he looked really tired. He was very nice and even signed my cd. Sunny Sweeney, Brett Eldredge, Edens Edge- I met these three (six?) at a Brad Paisley concert(w/Blake Shelton and Jerrod Niemann) back in like 2011. They were all extremely nice. They had each preformed mini-sets that were supposed to I guess get you pumped for Brad. Anyway, Sunny had her album "Heartbreakers Hall Of Fame" on sale and Brett had his EP also on sale so during their sets I bought both and they signed them :) This was back when Brett's song "It Ain't Gotta Be Love" was climbing up the charts. I told him that I was sure it was gonna be a big ol' hit (it peaked at #46 ) The members of Edens Edge were all very down to earth people. Dean Burner liked my t-shirt which had a picture of a duck that said "Shut The Duck Up". He thought it was about Aflac lol. Such a shame that they broke up. I saw Brett again later that year at an acoustic show. I thought it was really cool he remembered me :) Easton Corbin- Saw him back in 2010. He had just finished his set and there was about 20 minutes before Chris Young was schedlued to preform so I figured I'd go check out his merchandise booth. Well surprise, surprise guess who was there? ;) I was totally shocked to see him there. We chatted for a little while and I told him what a great album he had out. He took one of hhis own Cds he was selling, signed it, and gave it to me free of charge :) class act guy. And now a whole slew of people who I have seen at acoustic shows (for the record, my local radio station (WYRK) usually holds sring, fall, and winter acoustic shows at the University Of Buffalo in where 3 acts come and take turns playing their songs. These are my favorite shows since not only do you get a great acoustical sound, you also get to meet one of the artists afterwards! (Though I often cheat and meet more than one ;) ) At these shows I've gotten the chance to meet several great artists like: Craig Morgan: His show was last March (w/Parmalee and Cassadee Pope). He was an extremely nice guy (ok I know I say this a lot but its true!) and you could even have your picture taken with him by (I think?) one of the WYRK staff who posted the pictures on their website the next day. Of course I had my eyes closed in the picture Joe Nichols: The security was a little less rigid at this one. I chatted with Joe and he even signed my CD that I had (his most current one at the time "Greatest Hits") He just had a really positive vibe about him and really cared if you had a good time or not. The lineup for show was fantastic. It was Joe, Sunny Sweeney, and James Wesley. Definently a great experience. Others I have met at these acoustic shows include Danny Gokey, Craig Campbell, Thompson Square, Josh Thompson, and Parmalee among others. JT Hodges- Saw him with David Nail in 2013. After the whole show you could stay by the merchandise booth to meet JT. I was the first in line. It's such a shame that he is on Showdog because I feel like on any other label, he would be a star. He's not just a pretty face, he has talent and kick-ass songs. He signed my CD and I got my picture taken with him. Yet another friggin photo where my eyes were closed...ugh... And my most favorite act that I've ever met.... Gary Allan: So yeah Gary is my favorite artist so getting tickets to see him was a treat. An even BIGGER treat was being able to buy a guitar at the merc booth that came with a meet and greet :) I went back and greeted my hero. He was super awesome and he asked me my favorite song and I told him "Smoke Rings In The Dark", and he said with a smile "I'll make sure to play that one". He signed my brand new guitar (super freakin excited is an understatment to how I felt) I was with my mother and she really wanted him to play Nickajack Cave but he admitted that he forgot the words to that song lol. As I turned to leave he said "hey" and so I turned around and he looked at my guitar and he said "promise me you'll learn how to play that thing". I smiled and told him "I already do"

These two experiences just didn't sit well with me I got to see David Nail in San Antonio last Halloween...a great concert for sure. After, my friend and I decide to head to a bar for some drinks. Anyways we eventually end up at this random jazz bar and who is there but David Nail with his band and the opening act Native Run. We get some dry martinis and watch David's keyboardist knock out a great jazz tune...all the while David walks past and my friend introduces himself and says hi. We shake hands and say hello, but I can tell he is ready to leave as I know he has probably had quite a few drinks at this point. I'm quite shy and reserved myself, so I know one when I see them. I had the chance to observe him for a while at the jazz bar and he was really into everything, but he obviously isn't the social kind. Anyways, he certainly reminds me of myself in social situations haha.

I went and saw both the matinee and evening Chicago performances yesterday, and met Jennifer Nettles following the evening performance. She was absolutely incredible, gracious, and outgoing. She willingly chatted, signed, and took photos with everyone. The person before mentioned how they only came into New York here for the day and, when they were done and walking away, she yelled out "Safe trip home!" I went next and said that I saw both the matinee and evening performances and asked for her autograph, and she went "Of course! What's your name?" When I said my name, she went "Oh, I saw on Twitter you were coming!" because I had tweeted her earlier that day. What? I died.
I also brought one of her Jennifer Nettles Band albums and asked whether she would sign that, because I know some performers only sign Playbills and not unrelated memorabilia. She said "Absolutely! Your name again?" and signed the album. She saw my camera and we took our picture, then I totally forgot she had taken my marker and she handed that back. I thanked her and said, for the millionth time, that she was incredible, and I went on my way. There were about thirty others waiting, and I know she was just as nice to everyone who had gathered. Meeting her was amazing, fantastic, incredible, wonderful, perfect, everything.
